Love this, great project, amazing craftsmanship as always.
A smaller and simpler project, but these are the pieces that tell the story and makes the finished shop really pop.
I will be interested to see the video on the tree with the snake in it, which was lurking in the background.

Hi
why do they scrape it with a nail brush, wouldn't it be smoother before hand without the texture.
The hot wire takes off the bulk of the material, but its difficult to use this to create an absolutely perfect shape. The nail brush then carves and refines the shape more. Sand papers are then used to smoothen the surface once it's been carved
What grade polystyrene is it you use, I'm assuming it's a high density type and not just house insulation grade?
Hey John, for the majority of our large pieces, we use a standard bead. (We do use high density, but generally save this for more detailed work, and not large forms like this, as it would work out more expensive)
