I thought it was a posthumous commercial spot by Ruth Bader Ginsberg. I was gonna use this to start a conspiracy theory to suggest she's still alive, to offset the conspiracy theory that claims she died well before they told us she did.
Tears and longing...Come on, this is it! THIS is life! THIS is what you´re supposed to strive for...This is THE bucket list! Thank you so much for the reminder of what is essential in this life...
I came here, out of curiosity, from a NATIONAL PARK twitter congratulating Betty on retirement @ 100+. I was blown away, what a remakable woman doing a "voiceover" to an advertorial urging people to get out there and do it. I have managed a few of the feats but wish I'd seen this 50 yrs ago.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BETTY!!! You made the magic step today (9/22/21) of turning 100. Madam, you are truly an amazing person. Big New York Times article all about you! :) :)
Have you ever witnessed a company go beyond marketing? Go past pushing products, to push people to explore. Have you ever watched as merchants became maestros, narrating the dance of the human experience?
THIS gave me chills. What a brilliant piece with beautiful voiceover by Betty Reid Soskin, fantastic imagery & editing, excellent writing & storytelling.
Thank you to the North Face for supporting the oil and gas industries through their heavy use of petroleum based products. It's good to know all of their fabrics use petroleum based petro-chemical production, and even though these cause high carbon emissions, they create many jobs for the fossil fuel industry.
This is the dumbest response to something creative… basically if you drive a gas powered vehicle (btw even if you don’t the manufacturing processes to build and EV car consume masses of fossil fuels, oils etc) , if you paint your house , own anything plastic … you have a depency on the extraction of minerals from the earth… but go ahead , single out a certain brand that encourages you to take your ass outside as being unethical while you sit on your couch viewing your silicone and conflict mineral filled electronic device.
@@stevendix6781 Hey there, and thanks for giving your uninformed point of view. It provides a good opportunity to educate you, and others, on a topic you're confused about: What you've demonstrated through you comment is that you're confusing the consumption of fossil fuels (i.e. emitting during the manufacturing process) with a product that is *comprised* of an oil and gas process. The first thing I suggest you do is read up on how rubbers and plastics are made. Try not to get confused with the branding North Face uses to name it's fabrics (e.g. FUTURELIGHT) which is done to confuse people like you. Once you're up to speed with that, it will be easier for you to understand why North Face needs more than 90% petrochemical (which is more than *double* the clothing industry as a whole) to create the rubber and plastic based fabrics it markets to customers. You'll know you have a better understanding once you realise everything you stated is irrelevant to the point I made.
Just curious, are any of these characters Metahumans from Unreal Engine? Some of it has that quality but I don't see anybody talking about it. BTS would be great to see how they did this!
Hey North Face, people of all sizes and ages are in the outdoors as well. It would be nice if gray hair and curves were represented. Ironic that Ms Soskin's voice was used to narrate the young people. Get with the program.
The voice of Betty Reid Soskin, the National Park system's oldest ranger at 99, is magical and authentic. Bravo!
Hi how are you

This is beyond an ad. This is art. Well done.

Whoever wrote this deserves a raise.
Loved this, more than a commercial, this is a lifestyle, just few people will be able to acknowledge how true these words are.

Thanks North Face, you are a true friend of the fossil fuel industry. It’s companies like yours that keep us in business.

Yeah did all that but it's overrated. What is the real reason we're here?
to reproduce and theoretically fill a niche for the earth we’re no different than a tree
