i buy and sell North face. the older the stuff the better they are , the newer stuff are garbage with the exception of the Nutpse 1996 model. they have tried to cut corner with the stiching and quality. it is really sad because i love North face.
@@saigonbaby yeah my nuptse 2 fell apart after around a year but my nuptse 1996 is going strong and I have ancient Baltoros that’s are still going to this day

My jackets see plenty of harsh weather, but my favorite is the nupste I used to keep my Mom warm for the last event we ever shared. It is now retired. Our gear is a sort of testiment to our journey.

Die besten und wärmsten Jacken die ich jemals hatte und kenne waren die älteren Versionen der Gotham. Leider hat sich jemand von North Face gedacht dass man das Modell verschlechtern müsse.
Das ist sehr schade, ich hätte mir die Jacke bis an mein Lebensende immer wieder gekauft.
Hab letzte Woche das neue Modell der Gotham erhalten und sofort wieder zurück geschickt, die neue ist viel dünner und daher auch nicht mehr so warm.. Schade..

I still have and often use TNF stuff my dad bought more than 20 years ago. Some of them I think where the best ever made but now I feel like TNF has become more of a fashion and statement brand than something that is made to last and get through years and years of hard use without worrying about anything breaking or failing. I have a TNF tent older than me (22y) and it still works perfectly fine and even though I‘m currently looking for a new one I just couldn‘t find anything comparable yet. Makes me a little sad. They used to be the best and worth every penny
