You need power to the two thick red power cables and to the ignition and backlighting inputs. Ground to the two thick black cables. That's all you need for it to power on.
Hi. maybe you can help me out. i have no backlight on my controlhead. main plus/minus attached, also ignition wire and backlight trigger. any suggestions? greetings from germany
By default, the backlighting is very dim. You can adjust it in Output -> [your control head] -> Set Backlight Intensity. If it's still not working then make sure you have the right control head.

Well done! Thank you. Low frequencies travel farther and penetrate vehicles better. But many of these dwell on the peak frequencies.

Yes, this siren does have those siren tones but I don’t think they use this siren in Italy. They probably use another one that sounds the same.
Would love a program video and how you managed to push a shift button for even more sounds
I didn’t push a shift button. Each configuration only allows for 15 tones, so I had to reprogram it multiple times to make this video.

@@markoswelt918 Download the Whelen Command software on their website. This will allow you to program your Sapphire.

Yeah, this specific controller is just a big grid of buttons, but their newer controllers are organized a bit better.
Make me a 21 button controller with a rotary knob and Ill send all my money straight away.

Why do some of the tones sound like Federal Signal sirens?
I guess Whelen got jealous that Federal Signal had all the cool tones and “took inspiration!”
6:12 is nice
1:32
3:28
1:32 what is this tone and how do you get it
Whelen calls it the Ultimate Hi-Lo and it’s available in the programming software.
Do you have deetz 711/211 lights. I need it too
No, I do not have those.
Do you have to download these from the computer or are they all factory loaded into it?
You have to download the tones from the computer as a configuration. Each configuration only allows for 15 tones.
Is there any volume controls on the software or hardware?
No there is not, so I installed a resistor in line with one of the speaker wires.
I need one
Yes you do
Yeah idk how to get one
How do u program new tones?
Whelen has a software for programming the Sapphire. I just created a configuration and transferred it to the amplifier.
@@thelightguy2 yea i was wondering if for this model, does the control pad have a ethernet port i need to connect to? Or is it through the amplifier?
