- Using a modified Nerf Elite Stryfe, I tested to see if a brass barrel made any noticeable range/accuracy increases to flywheel blasters. The answer: Yes. Barely.
Test parameters:
Voltage: 12.4 V
Amperage: 700 mAh
Motors: Brushed carbon 130 class (not stock)
Wind: Light and variable at 1-4 mph
All darts fired were brand new.
The brass is 5/8" x 5" or so and is held in the silencer barrel with 2 wraps of electrical tape (I wanted to be able to remove it if bad things happened.)
If you like the song, it's "Down From The Sky" by Trivium, which I obviously do not own.
And if you don't like the song, turn the volume off and get over it.
This type of analysis is really cool. I wish more nerfers would do it. Also I recommend you fasten your blaster down to inhibit bias.
Has this been done with short darts
I haven't, and I did this YEARS ago, so I'm sure there have been several changes that could help like new flywheels and cages.
You're Avery from 3d Printed Nerf, right?
The Magazine Is Half Full i don't know for sure about that but avery's channel is called custom3dnerf
