WORKER has released their own version of the Metal Flywheel cage and for a pretty reasonable price. This kit includes basically everything you would need to install it, though I couldn't figure out how to get the paltry amount of included wire to finish the job. Motors, Metal Flywheels, Metal Flywheel Cage, and even a nice barrel material make this kit worth investing into if you're starting to get into High-powered Flywheel modifications. The pusher? Still not entirely sure what it's for, but I do know it increases your trigger pull's reaction time to firing dart (don't have to pull the trigger all the way back in order to get it to fire) as well as helping you fire slightly shorter darts.
This is one of the few upgrades coming for Quincy, but what's after this requires almost pure destruction of the blaster. It may be a while, but Quincy will return...

You managed to figure out what the motor specs are for the Worker kit?
I used the canted blue cage, had to Dremel out the screwport which was rubbing against the top flywheel, I also found the screws poping up and rubbing against the inside of my flywheels, even though I was putting only 3.6v through 3 nicad aa cells

You should make an extension barrel with flywheels for the caliburn
that defeats the purpose of owning a caliburn. won't be as accurate
So I did this mod and while pushing the flywheels down the back of the motor fell out and idrk what to do now, the motor works still but the flywheels are only halfway down and I can’t push them any more

Do you know where I can find a guide that's easier to understand? I don't really know what's going on most of the time.
So there is 4 holes on the back of the flywheel cage and I've tested that u can push of the flywheels unscrew the motor and pull out the motor and you can replace it
I'm curious as to what would happen if you were to incorporate a dimmer switch in an attempt to control speed of which the flywheels spin. Would that be a possibility?
The right thing to do would be use a speed controller but a dimmer is a good high power variable resistor. I tried using one on a 1 1/2hp pool pump motor, the dimmer started smoking so I stopped.

I recently bought an orange Stryfe because I like the look of the AK kit by Workers. I want to mod the flywheels to improve accuracy. It doesn't have to be too powerful as I am playing with just my kids. I would prefer some quiet setup. What motor, cage, wheels and switch would you recommend in 2021?

I want to put on the Workers UMP9 kit on mine but I also want to increase the performance of the blaster, not too much but enough to at least increase the accuracy and some power and I have basically the same question

Hey guys, I have a quick question. Can I safely use these worker 132 motors (3s, 11.1v) with a 2s lipo? Couldn't find any clarification via Google. I mean I know I can, but is it safe for the motors and the battery? Thanks a lot for an answer!

BlazingTank Remove battery tray connectors, solder connector for LIPO and you should be good to go functionally

If you haven;'t opened a blaster before, go to goodwill and by one for cheap then open it. If you have opened a blaster and haven't done a mod, look up "Nitefinder First Mod" on youtube and follouw the instructions

Luke Baller11 my first was a blaster parts full metal hammershot kit. It’s relatively easy and EXTREMELY useful if you like the hammershot. You will use it as a sidearm for a long time if not forever.

You don’t think you can keep real firearms separate from foam flingers. Go to RUclips ad settings, remove any camping, outdoor, or anything remotely gun like. Just because I love guns, didn’t mean you should see ads with them.
I bought the canted version of this cage, and had the same problem with shell closing. I decided to dremel out the screwport to make room. Not you're incompetence this time walcom :)

It's the wire gauge. I put a worker canted cage in with slightly thinner wire and it fits just fine.

9:40 They are not resistors, they are capacitors. They are there to cut down radio frequency noise/interference produced by the motor. They don't affect performance.

Interesting. I've always seen these listed as 12v motors. I picked up a few sets of these a while ago but havn't used any yet. Good for me as most of my lipos are 7.4v.

You're going to need to cut the shell/cover the motors with 132's.
Maybe for these ones, but again: I've put 132s in a few blasters without any cuts. I think what's screwing me on the Worker cage is the fact that it has that pcb that probably shouldn't be there but is there anyways.

Ik that this kit is really meant to use with Lipo's, but will it function with the normal AA alkaline battery?
I'm sorry to tell you that these not only require 2-3s voltage - (7.4-11.6 v) they have unrated current draw. People have killed LiPos with them! AAs have no chance.

I just ordered the canted version. I then come to learn that canted is gimmicky, and now, I'm just going to get a 3d printed 42.5mm daybreak cage and daybreak wheels. I guess I can give the canted ones away.

You have to take away the cut plastic thing around your barrel and it will fit entirely in the nerf gun

Motors can always burn out, but these kinds of motors will last a long time. I used a 3s 11.4v LiPo.

Im looking to build a pretty good stryfe with fang revamps, completely rewired, what cage should i use? (I dont have a 3d printer and cant afford a rediculusly good cage like a snikkas and i dont have ANY experience. Plz help. This is a really long addon lol)
I have this same kit, but haven't installed it yet, and was planning to use a 3S compact lipo; will the Select Fire kit cut the voltage enough to not over-volt these motors or should I just get a 2S instead?

I am wondering if you know how to put this mod kit in the modulous stryfe. The internals looks a little different and I am am getting frustrated because I keep messing up and it was expensive.
If it's literally the Modulus stryfe it should be the exact same cage. If it's the Modulus ECS-12 then it's a different cage entirely.

It is possible, but you gonna have to do a lot of precise shell cutting and add a battery bay and mount a Rev switch somewhere. I did on my recon mk2

It will in the sense that you can manipulate the posts somehow to fit the cage in there, but it won't be a drop-in finish.
i thought you needed to shell cut for 132's
just some removal of plastic from the bottom to let them fit, not a full shell cut

Hey walcom, bit late but I have only 3s lipos, I want to run these motors on 3s but they are sparking/arcing when I rev them on a 3s. What FPS are you getting with 3s? Would it be better for me just to buy a 2s lipo? I want to make these motors last.
On 3S I got anywhere from 3-7 FPS more. It wasn't worth it, these clearly are over-volted at 3s.
