It's the concept about phenotype. That's why people in most english speaking countries refer "asian" as EA/SEA because they look similar.
Same can be said for europeans in europe, arabs in middle east, desi's in indian-subcontinent. Asians look similar.

Exactly. Also Japanese people tend to look….idk different. Like all Chinese and Koreans don’t look the same but they tend to have similar or common features like eye shape, skin tone or ear size or something. Japanese people tend to not look too similar to the other two at all (I remember it was driving me crazy so I googled it once and it said some northern Chinese share features with Koreans idk) but I think fashion is definitely a thing. Like facial hair you’ll see more in Japanese (in these videos idk about in day to day life), sharp features are more in Chinese and youthful and bright makeup looks and pale skin (but not white like Chinese) you’ll see in Koreans

North East Indians not really "Indians". They were incorporated by the British into a collective of nations to form "India" in 1947.

@@jacku8304 Wrong history. Northeast India was incorporated into "British India" with the accession of the Assam and the Assamese Kingdom in 1826 - Treaty of Yandaboo.
But then, all regions of India were incorporated into the Union gradually. So yes, Northeast Indians are Indians, same as Punjabis, Marathis, Rajasthanis etc are Indians after having their kingdom merged into India.

Man im not Asian and even I got more of these right than her. The three countries look totally different. Koreans have longer features generally and thicker hair than Japanese. Japanese usually have more dainty features, sharper noses sometimes, like a higher nose ridge or even slightly hooked, rounder eyes, slimmer build. Chinese have many different looks but usually more the stereotypical Asian look that westerners think of, smaller eyes, flatter faces etc

    • @BSBadRandomsShorts

I’m Chinese and my face is not flat at all. my eyes are round and my nose is pretty sharp. My brow bones are prominent, and my cheekbones are present: I don’t really agree with your statement that chinese people have a more stereotypically Asian look, it’s just that our population is so much larger than both Korea and Japan you see more examples irl of people that looks stereotypically Asian.

However, there r many utube videos about similarities between Cantonese, Taiwanese, chinese, koreans,,Japanese r significant as well as their surnames, traditions historical Chinesewritings, traditional clothing, traditional pagodas, traditional music, mindsets, traditional February new year as SINOSPHERE culture, whereas, Thailand, Laos, Cambodian, Indonesia and ect... share the significant similarities between them and share the same culture as INDOSPHERE. If you paid attention they actually have a sort of different fashion trend.
Most Japanese loves semi-long hair that goes all the way to the back, or simple styles like 4th guy. 4th guy has a trendy/classic japanese hair cut, popular nowadays cuz its just so simple and comfy
Koreans love Semi-short hair cut, they often go with long Top/bangs nowadays like wolf cut but with short sides and back. especially with middle parted hairstyle, K-pop idols popularized this style a lot.
Chinese loves short haircut, its their culture. But nowadays the younger gens love having long bangs due to the trend influence, so they pair short side or back haircuts with long bangs/ long side bangs. They love long side bangs a lot.
    Their attire differs too.
Personally, japanese attire feels easiest to recognize since its more into the "comfy" side.

A lot if people say that Asians look the same because they have a lot of very similar Features. People in Europe for exaple arent like that because a lot of people from different countries live in one country. They marry people from different contries a lot so they have a lot if different Features. I can understand I people say they Look very similar. I get it wrong a lot too.
