Had my best late November and December with 44, 46 and a 50. Got the 50 unexpectedly in my pedal kayak December 23. What fight too. Finished on December 27 with a 34 to 36 inches. Enjoyed video your videos .
Incredible! Way to put a bow on the season. That thing looks like it got the Louis Spray treatment it's so bloated, only it's bloated from food, not sand (no offense, I love those old timer legends of the sport). Don't think she'll miss that one sucker. Fish seemed pretty worn out from the fight. I like to use the 60" livewell aerator on my Tuffy to help 'em catch their breath.
It could have been a mild case of barotrauma. I caught one in 30' & it couldn't swim down. I used the fish descending device & it took off. Check out this short video with Gord Pyzer . ruclips.net/video/YN8TcAOp588/видео.htmlsi=6NcIrB_fQMR61zM7@@TodaysAngler
If youd have never measured the fish id have guessed low 50"s, looked giant when you set her up straight out from the next for viewing. Biggest 4fter ive ever seen lol Huge congrats man
Great fish and great job landing it! What is brand of transducer pole are you using? I want to put one on a track like yours on my Vexus DVX22. Thanks!
Was surprised it went 48.5. I thought it was well over 50 because of the girth. Huge belly on it. Congratulations, Robbie. 😊 What's your guess on its weight?
@@TodaysAngler your welcome, Robbie. I have to wonder if you'll ever be able to fish open water again so late in December. This might be a once-in-a-lifetime event.
Mabey it was a case of mild barotrauma. I caught one in 30' & it couldn't swim down, so I used the fish descending device & it took off. Check out this short video with Gord Pyzer - ruclips.net/video/YN8TcAOp588/видео.htmlsi=6NcIrB_fQMR61zM7

Right on thats awesome! Way to end the season!!
@@TodaysAngler what would be a good set up to use to get a good selfie or recording, when you are by yourself.

What a tank! Congrats
Thank you she was perfect!
It looked a lot bigger than 481/2" . Usually they release a lot better in cold water.
Not when you get sub 40 degrees especially when they come out of 20 feet plus, really hard for them to equalize in that situation
Yea 33 degree water, they can power off great but sometimes they can have trouble. I was able to find her on livescope and she was fine!

Wow what pig! Nicely done.❤
Thanks!
Amazing fish. I bet that makes all the hours of musky grind fishing worth it
Absolutely!!
Nice Musky Robby!!
Thank you!
Sick vid guys! 👍 Congrats Robbie!
Thanks a ton!
Awesome Fish. Can I ask do you ever catch Bass on your large bucktails? I live down South and want to try them for big Bass. Thanks. Scott
I can't speak for these guys, but I also fish in Wisconsin, and I've caught some decent bass tossing a Mepps Musky Flashbou.
Was surprised it went 48.5. I thought it was well over 50 because of the girth. Huge belly on it. Congratulations, Robbie. 😊 What's your guess on its weight?
Around 32 lbs.
Musky weight formula is:
length x girth x girth / 800
@@Chillin24Seven Thanks. I can never remember what to divide by in the formula.
Thanks! Definitely a 30 pounder! Very fun way to end the season!

So was that your PB late December skie Robbie? Either way, what a dandy she was! Congrats and enjoy some well earned down time and some R&R my man!
if you would had said that thing was 52 inches i would 100% believe you. Great fish
Monster!!!!
What size Tekotas line counter are you using ?
500 tekota
Real nice Robbie. Also curious where you got the hat!!
Link in the description. Thanks
Looks like a Tiger !?
Amazing vid Robbie! I hope its not your last video of the season :(
Unfortunately for Muskie vids! Ice fishing and saltwater vids will be on its way!
I’m hoping to get my first musky this year
I hope so!! Goodluck! The addiction is real!
I am a Saltwater Angler but I wanna pursue Musky.
How many suckers do you think you went through this year? Do they have a good survival rate in your tank? Great video as always!
Our best year on survival this year. I haven’t done the totals. But I’m sure we bought 60-70 suckers maybe more lol
What a pig!
Great job man
Very cool video and camera work.
What did the weight calculation tell ya?
I think 32 pounds is the calculation! Could be more could be less!

I’m moving.
!
Another FFS targeted giant.. takes the hunting out of musky hunting
I hope that big girl doesn't turn belly up .worst case you could have eaten it
I found her going down on livescope she was fine!
