Hahahaha realised how good my favourite band are at speaking a load of waffle . Good video but poor song , sympathised when I heard it was self produced because there are some cool elements to it that don’t shine through enough , but James Ford was involved somehow for this ‘groove orientated ‘ part 1 and for that I expect the percussive breakdown to have a better edge like a dance track, admittedly they can still resurrect this live as I know they are capable. Edwin and jack contributed well to this track but the vocals and melodies are very poor. This is coming from a band that have toured extensively with everything everything , , they should know better . Will buy the album , but no way am I pre ordering it just yet !
Um....They explain that Part One wouldn't be as heavy as Part Two. They also explained in the another NME and BBC interview that if they would have had to condense or sort through all twenty songs just to put it into one album it would have caused a huge riff within the band because different members wanted different sounds. Maybe you should wait for both records to be released before you start juding them so harshly. Foals is more than capable of effectively selfproducing their own music, how do you think they got on in the first place? They've survived over thirteen years (on the mainstream market at that) and have been making their own music years before even that, so clearly they are the shit. You tried it...
AsiaPersuasia if this is their attempt of a heavy lead single for a groove orientated album so be it . Will be hands down the worst track and I would love to be proved wrong . Makes no sense to do such a thing though does it . They have already been quoted live on air on Monday as saying that it ‘sets the tone for part 1’ . Then again foals love being ambiguous and wrong footing people, and surprising their fans . I’ve got to say this isn’t too disimilar to some of the dodgey stuff on WWD . Night swimmers could have been a masterpiece all the ingredients were there , on record it’s so average though right! for now I’m entitled to judge this record in isolation
