Kinda glad I didn't had the time to buy/play WotR when it came out, and then forgot a bit about it. Now I can buy the whole package and play through it all at once. Thanks for the heads up.
Unless you're the type who's opposed to multiple playthroughs of 100+ hour games (which is understandable lol), you certainly missed out in my opinion. I'll be doing my fourth, and probably final, playthrough when this drops. So many mythic paths to try, so little time.
I don't think you've done yourself any favors with this strategy, tbh.
Same, I started not that long ago, and the combination of how long this game is and how little gaming time I get, this may wind up being perfectly timed for me.
I will have to start my fifth run...
Don't trust people who say they are helpful
Also a guide to the secret ending would be appreciated. The amount of conflicting information and in complete guides on it is insane
Agreed. I even had problems getting into new boss-fight after the Lord of Nothing dlc. Some say - just wait, but I skipped a few motnhs
It's surprisingly hard to find good and reliable info on WotR. So much is incomplete, out of date, or just plain wrong
Kingmaker had much more info online back in the days, compared to WotR
The fandom wiki has finally begun expanding into WotR, but is still missing loads of basics, such as classes
Neoseeker is an out of date, one sided ("this is how you play") mess with "builds" which will hurt you more than help
And fextra is, as always, a borderline scam site, tricking people into clicking to boost their embedded video income instead of actually providing info
(seriously, NEVER use fextra, what ever game you play, avoid it like the plague)
It's weird. But first time finishing the game I got the secret ending. When I went back and replayed the ending I was unable to get the secret ending again.
I used slandered gaming's guide and it was good. ruclips.net/video/HTKb9lxrsEA/видео.html

I found your channel through WotR. I too am looking forward to having a big wrap-up playthrough with it once this DLC hits.
Welp, there goes my summer. Reason for another WotR playthrough followed by the Elden Ring dlc, then Dawntrail.
Not a bad way to spend a summer tbh.
I discovered your channel with your pathfinder wotr videos
favorite classes / least favorite classes
best/worst archetypes
etc
I decided to buy this game
and I do not regret it at all
can't wait to spend 90% of my time in character creation...again :D
Really looking forward to this DLC and the new archetypes. Hope you do a couple of streams. Those are always fun to watch
Really hope we get to fight Razmir. I love the pathfinder setting (Golarion) and Owlcat's WotR. Currently playing the Iron god's adventure path as an egositical arcanist who who wants to take the test of the startstone and sees Razmir as a weak failure for pretending to be a god instead of trying to ascend. He's been in a recurring feud with a "priest" of Razmir and it's escalated to the point where he is now planning to try and assassinate Razmir after hes done in Numeria.
Also in the process of planning out GMing the WoTR adventure path. Definitely gonna try and adapt this dlc for it
I would love to have a complete story breakdown like you've done with other games in the past, they have been fantastic.
Also for the streaming. I would personally enjoy that being streamed from start to finish.
Thank you for the dedicated coverage of the game so far.
Playing 40k rogue traders, same owlcat studios (played kingmaker before), these guys make some crazy, filled to the brim worlds.
am here for any WOTR content, cause there is never too much WOTR content!!!
Been waiting for coverage on this
Found your channel just before I started playing bg3 (my first crpg). I put over 100hrs into it and loved it. You’ve convinced me to go on to pathfinder WOTR, and my god am I loving it
Crazy. I just bought WOTR yesterday.
Is it good?
@@funasylumstudioI love this game about 2000 hours played. but its a very technical game watch mortismals guides. if you want dlc get the seasion 2 dlc as seasion 1 doesnt really add much to the main campaign
@@funasylumstudio it's great. For myself, it's almost perfect. Just need better armor visuals because I'm picky and aesthetics matter to me a lot when I'm roleplaying a run.
@@hopeestheim6448 Better than BG3? I stopped playing BG3 cause I thought the characters were too cartoonish.
@@funasylumstudio I haven't played BG3 (nothing I have can run it..) but I like WOTR a LOT more than Kingmaker.
The last isometric RPG that I played before the Pathfinder games is Tyranny - and I think WOTR is a lot more in depth and interesting.
But I *did* enjoy Tyranny a lot.
I haven't played wotr yet but I've been meaning to for a while.
I didn't expect them to create so much content. I shall have to play it when it's released
Perfect timing. I’m just finishing up rogue trader.
These games have so much dialogue
"Feel free to just listen"
Legend. I will always respect a ylutuber who respects me and my time.
I own all the DLC so far, so I might as well get this one. I'm excited for Rogue Trader story dlcs.
I’m all in for some Rogue Trader DLC as well.
An idea I have - that sadly they won’t do - is a DLC that fills in the little holes. Full voice acting. Character portraits for everyone you speak to (I don’t get how sometimes important people you speak to on a mission don’t have a character portrait - this isn’t exactly BG3 motion cap requiring an actor, it’s something one of their artists could finish up on his-her own). That kind of thing.
@@TechnoLawyer its very annoying how Owlcat been having the same issues since Kingmarker. You would think they would at least attempt to fix/ address it.
@TheGamernews1 I'd say yes and no. Alot of issues with Kingmaker went away but some of them strangely remain yes. Hopefully they'll be completely gone if they make BG4 or whatever their next game is.
@@TechnoLawyer Good ideas tbh
I presume it will come with the Season pass, if you have it.
Despite being a Kickstarter backer for WOTR and having the Season Passes, I've been waiting for the game's DLC cycle to be complete before commencing a playthrough. You see, I tend to only play a RPG through once, so to me it's most logical to wait until all the content is available before I get stuck in.
Same here, but WOTR for me is an exception. Getting a secret ending for this game is super satisfying and, unless you are willing to use a walkthrough on your first run, it's super unlikely that you are getting it. Plus, all the mythic paths are just so interesting to explore
Whelp, once more into the breach, dear friends!
I'd be happy to see you streaming it, just so you know. Not live, really, due to the difference in time zones, but I'll surely watch the vods if you do that.
I can't wait for this! I am also looking forward to seeing the 11 new archetypes!!!
Did you hear about the other stuff related to Gold Dragon and Devil they plan on adding? I heard it is a free update, basically attempting to improve those paths because they are the most lacking.
Is that going to come in a patch? I tried to find it but couldn't.
That would be sick
What WotR was lacking was character build options. Nice they finally addressed that issue to give players a bit of choice in their builds.
😆
I actually like the throwing in of a bunch of archetypes. Somehow seems fitting.
yeah, something-teen archetypes more is not enough. Maybe double the current amount of archetypes but I doubt its enough because double of little is still a little too >:P
I keep getting quest breaking bugs, and its infuriating! 750 hours, and Ive STILL not been able to finish it!
i got into WotR after playing Baldurs Gate 3 as my first tabletop-based RPG, and boy am I thankful I did it in that order. At first I found BG3 so overwhelmingly complex with its character building, but little did I know it was only a tutorial into what WotR has to offer. Cant imagine trying to play WotR with zero prior experience of these kinds of games. As is, I think I have more playtime in the character creator than I have in some games.
I hope they take the time to fix some of the mythic paths like the golden dragon. Man that path needs way more stuff in it
The community manager did hint that Devil / Gold Dragon might be getting some surprises. Let's hope!
Once this dlc releases it will be time for a second playthrough!
I appreciate the feel free to listen part in the beginning. I bought it last week and i get what you meant by overwhelming. Just tryna pick a class is insane. Might just do what i never do and go straight melee class. No need to think past "big stick hurt mean man".
The major pain is when you finally sort out some very specific build exactly as you want it, and then in chapter 2 you get a companion who basically has exactly the same kit. Can't even count the number of times this has happened to me, going all the way back to the original Baldur's Gate. Really difficult to avoid running into this unless you want to spoil the game for yourself by reading up on all the potential companions before you start.
@@therealchriscunningham I def do not. Maybe I'll just make a super niche build in that case. I plan on playing on the easiest difficulty regardless.
@kylelopez7631 If you're playing on the easiest diff, just play exactly what you want. Doesn't matter if you double up on a class in a party of 6 on Easy. Enjoy the story. Cheers!
Bought this game off of your recc last year and played solidly for like 2 weeks before I got burnt out in Act 5, might have to start a new playthrough when this comes out
I can’t wait! haven’t picked it up just so that when I finally do it would be complete with all the dlc.
Guess I'll have to get back into WotR.
Hey mort love your wotr content and would Love to see more of it!😃
Since you know so much about the mechanics of the game and its lore why not make some short post about it, natural weapon atacks, lore about the gods and the etc nothing huge but information post so ppl can go to your channel instead of Google it, 5 minut cuts etc, when you have some down time😉
So glad i waited until news of this DLC was announced, now i can buy it when the dlc becomes available.
seen trailer when it was released
i just want to get complete edition to play for first time (and hopefully few dozen more before jumping to mods and cheats)
i don't know what their future projects could be but despite how much i would like to see starfinder i think that it's about time for them to start making their own unique universe (can't grow up without it)
Can’t wait for the story series! 🎉
love this game, im happy to see more content
Story series sounds amazing!
I backed the game and haven't played till all the dlc will come out, can't wait
I've been watching you for a couple years now at least, it's been great to see your channel grow. Just wondering, what game do you think gave your channel the biggest boost? I feel like it was wotr but I was just curious. Keep up the great work bud
Overall probably WotR in terms of establishing myself as its what allowed me to go full time, but DOS2 was big for just getting my foot in the door and learning. Honestly BG3 is the single largest boost for sure, but I dont think Id consider it the most important.
No kidding, I'm new to Pathfinder and just learned about Razmiran yesterday, when I made a trade agreement with them in Kingmaker :D Very hyped to see Razmir appear now! And very glad this DLC doesn't seem to be just "Mass Effect Citadel in Pathfinder"
When this comes out, would be good to have an overall breakdown of your recommendations for archetypes, etc - for those of us who've always wanted to get into WoTR and never gotten around to tackling the mechanics.
While it wont include the new ones obviously, I've made a video on the best/worst ones for each class and a ton of the mechanics as well. Even a 2 hour new players guide.
Thanks for the video. Voice acting is pretty impressive. Didn't Original Sin add voice acting with a DLC? Not saying it will happen, but would be neat if they retroactively add it. Onward to 400k. All glory to the algorithm.
so with the switching between 1 and two handed will that mean they may let us use long spears the lance stand in with a shield while mounted?
Huh, never thought to check if he had done a 'story of' for kingmaker. i knew he did it for the divinity series but none of the other ones ever seemed to crop up on my feed.
It's cause of pathfinder one I started following your content I love crpgs and Pathfinder is criminally under rated
Can't wait to finally be able to play the game. I love being able to play party based rpgs once all the story content and stuff is out.
WHen you cover the new archtypes, any chance for a general build guide for each?
Probably not, might do one last build for old times sake at some point though
Looking forward to this capstone to Wrath of the Righteous. A story series really intrigues me as someone whose gone through run the ttrpg version of this.
Razmir?! Left field choice for sure. I hope they make another Pathfinder game sometime.
I'm still playing through the Kingmaker and the kingdom management stuff and the timer issues really get in the way of enjoyment. I just hope to get through it soon so I can try WotR. Hopefully they'll make a bundle that includes both DLC seasons that I could buy in a single go.
Yeah, that is the worst thing about Kingmaker.
Loved kingmaker so mutch (450+h) i bought this and both season passes and have yet to play as i have awaited the last dlc for the complet experience so to say, cant wait.
I can finally go through the completed game in its entirety, with all the content. I've been waiting for this for a long time! All that's left is to answer the hardest question of all - Which mythical path to choose? I like to play for spellcasters, so maybe I should choose the path of a lich, although from the point of view of the story the path of an angel is the most organic and appropriate, or maybe finally try the path of a trickster? TOO HARD TO CHOOSE!!!
Mortismal as someone who only played base game, which dlc would you recommend and why? I know you have covered but perhaps a compilation explaining which order priority aswell as when to play potentially as if I remember 2 of them don't follow your toon but as separate wish just adding side story to events?(or impact in small way?)
I might make a video on the subject after this, but generally Last Sarkorians and Treasures of the Midnight Isles are the most impactful
@@MortismalGaming Thanks, ive completed game twice guess the dlc will give me a reason for another run.
Well i was about to start my first playthrough of this game, might hold off now until this comes out
I've near enough finished King Maker and I think it'll lead me nicely to play this with all DLC.
The illusion goddess and her fascination with the Living God is strange based on allignment. She is neutral but is taken with interest for an evil tyrant abusing the belief in the gods.
My personal favourite connection from Razmir is with Tar-Baphon. Would be fun if Owlcat put in reactivity for Lich mythic path players.
There are a lot of things I could hope for but by far my biggest wish out of everything they could do (and something I feel is rather unlikely will happen) would be cameos from Kingmaker characters and for them to find some way to have an ambiguous cameo by the king/queen themselves. Depending on whether their future project is a pathfinder one or not, it would be a fantastic send-off to their series.
Something more realistic and, speaking of Rogue Trader, if I get at least one dialogue option to promt a companion (Regill preferably) to introduce me to someone in the most over the top way possible I will be incredibly happy.
Hopefully they'll keep someone around to work on a patch or two post-DLC.
WotR is hands down the best crpg ever released. I've supported Owlcat since the beginning, and as a studio they are knocking it out of the park. Can't wait to see what's next, Rogue Trader 2 perhaps? Pathfinder 3, perhaps? A new IP of their own devising, perhaps? Maybe they will take a stab at D&D 5th Edition? Give Larian a run for their money.
All these archetypes are getting overwhelming. If they make a 3rd installment, I'll be spending even more hours planning my character.
I assumed this DLC will involved something similar to Citadel DLC and with the festival masls invovled a bit of mystery or trickery due to the imagery. But after hearing about this antagonist being good at illusions and manipulations I guess my hunch was right when I saw the trailer art. Or at least partially.
Love these games excited for the new DLC
I guess this would be the best place to ask, but which DLCs are worth buying? I played through the base game last year after seeing so much of it featured on this channel, and I _loved_ it. But taking a look at the DLC pages on Steam, the reviews are all over the place. It seems like a couple are good but most aren't?
Man, I truly wish we could get Mod support for this game.
Good show sir
This seems like a good place to ask this question:
I've had Kingmaker forever and I'm a big fan - however, WotR has basically been on my wishlist for 2 years and I have continued to push it to the side for other titles that were on sale that week, or whatever reason. Anyways, I am finally going to get WotR this week.
Should I start with the vanilla title, or just go ahead and get all the DLC? (I suppose I am also asking, is the DLC more endgame focused, or will it offer a wider and better experience from the start?)
This one, Last Sarkorians, and Treasure of the Midnight Isles can all be enjoyed as part of the base game. The other 3 are more stand alone, but have some (mostly) small effects on the main game if youve completed them
For swarm that walks it sounds like an all you can eat buffet. ;) Delicious!
I finished the main game is it worth it to play dlcs ? or any dlc suggestion ?
The Last Sarkorians (additional companion) and Lord of Nothing are the general more positive received DLC, the rest are very hit or miss.
I would really like to see a full playthrough, along the lines of the BG3 one that you did
I did a full live playthrough of this for a competition back when it launched, it's a playlist on the channel
@@MortismalGaming I was hoping for DLC
Are they launching a final version of the game, with all the DLCs? I have only the base game
Havent heard anything to that effect
So have they announced this is actually the final DLC or is just the final one of the announced DLCs? They put out a survey to ask people's opinions on DLCs that would come out after this one a while back but I haven't heard anything come of it yet.
Theyve stated they have no further plans for any more DLCs for WotR in a couple places
so basically questline perfect for azata
somehow missed that Razmir is part of the DLC. Not sure if that helps or hinders my hope for the Razmiran Priest archetype for Sorcerers being one of the new ones.
Really regret clearing up most of my old saves of my first playthrough, not sure I can do this DLC with him. He was chaotic good Azata and this DLC would've been perfect for him. Looking at save names the oldest save would be before leaving to Colyphor, pretty sure can't head back to Kenabres and party at that point anymore.
The second playthrough Im planning after all DLC has come out would be as evil Lich and not sure this DLC would be as enjoyable in that scenario.
Should you play the DLC:s in chronological order? I ve just started Wrath, or are there certain points in storyline where the dlc:s suits better?
1. through the ashes, takes place alongside act 1
2. Last Sarkorians, Treasure of the Midnight Isle and this one can be all be played in the main campaign though treasures has a stand alone mode as well
3. Lord of Nothing, sometime before you finish act 5 (is a continuation of through the ashes)
4. Inevitable Excess, literally right before the last boss
one day i will play this game
I wonder how the romance with the queen will go in the DLC, if at the start of act 5 she is in Iz if I remember correctly.
Would like any updates on builds you have aswell.. If possible of course
I finally got my hands on WotR and am excited to play it, only to hear about this new DLC lol. Not that I’m complaining but the timing is just perfect
May i finally do my Hoplite build with long spear and shield
3:25 Quarterstaff comes to mind
Final chance to find archetype that at last goes well with the Azata mythic...
WOTR is how I found this and several other channels 👍
Would you recommend this to a dude (me) who just had a tons of fun with Bg3, but totally new to the genre.
Also, I'm on Ps5, should I buy EE edition and both season passes? That's the full game?
Thanks.
This is substantially more complicated than BG3's ruleset and I would watch something like my live playthrough of it for a bit to get a good idea of whether or not its something you'd enjoy as someone fresh to the genre.
@@MortismalGaming
Dude, thank you for the reply.
I'll do that.
Again, thanks a lot.
The game just keep on giving ! Owlcat is awesome.
cool!
I’ve noticed quite a few channels using your review, title and thumbnail format almost as a 1:1. Only starting to do those videos after your channel gained traction. Imitation is the lowest form of flattery at least!
Yeah Ive seen a couple of them, the concept was around before I was though so I don't pay it much mind.
I can't wait to go smooching all the righteous Paladins as a Lich Mythic Path Character.
I kinda wish they added a few extra races, with the crazy amount pathfinder has. Would love to play a ratfolk.
It amazes me thinking back on Pathfinder WotR how much I didn't care about most of the companions in the game compared to Rogue trader where I pretty much loved all of them.
gutted as done 2 runs on hardest difficultly as lawful good angel romanced queen and second chaotic evil demon romanced the spidercat/demon queen/(everything going). So while looking forward to dlc as ive not played any doubt I would do another run with same paths and lament the lost content.
Psammokinetic , lets do it OwlCat!
Just to clarify, when you say they "just added" a bunch of new archetypes prior to this DLC, do you mean the ones they added with Lord of Nothing, or did I miss a big patch/content update since then?
DLC 5 added a bunch: Reanimator, Flesheater, etc
@@IsilionNELE Right, those are the ones added with Lord of Nothing. The way he worded it, I wasn't sure if he meant there had been an update that added even more between then and now, or if he was just referring to those DLC 5 additions.
FInal DLC? Now finally looks like the time for me to buy this game. Looking forward for the definitive edition.
All hail Nenio!
👏👏👏
The only DLC I'm interested in. I'm still sloowly going through Kingmaker so I hope that this DLC will release before I start playing in WotR.
For the THIRD consecutive time, my playthrough broke, because of a quest bug.. 750 hoirs into WotR, and I have yet to get through this game without a bug!
Im on my evil playthrough, and Wenduags 'Blood Whisper' quest wont advance.. Shes my romance, so I really dont want her questline to fail..
I keep getting to act 4, and having something break, and ends my game..
I tried getting help in the forum for a week, and have even put in a ticket to Owlcat 5 days ago, with no response!
I am beyond fed up with Owlcat!
Edit: I dont use mods, or exploits
💗
Final gem in RPG King crown
I would be interested to find out the breakdown of resources they used working on WotR vs Rogue Trader. It's a little weird to see them still working on it AND another unannounced product while Rogue Trader is still in the state it's in. Make me wonder what their priorities where.
They have 400 people split between I believe two teams ( technically three) main team is focus on Rogue Trader bug fixes/ DLC and the other team is working on Pathfinder bug fixes and most likely wrapping up the last DLC. Most likely there is a very small team on preproduction on there unannounced title.
ого, реально жду сюжет pathfinder: WOTR. Особо нет подробного сюжета игры. Жду с нетерпением. Вот бы ещё на русском сделали бы видео об этом. Как в старые времена
