Not even back from holiday for 24 hours and already made content 😂
Much appreciated. Hope you had a good break.
Thanks for the content, do you think malleus will improve Creed?
🤫
For. The. Greater. GOOD!!
Priorities du du dee
I'm ignoring my brain and following my heart, biovore it is
The Hive Mind demands biomass!!
Definitely the most cool machine.
Agreed
Same, I can’t justify choosing him. Yet I’m choosing him
I'm learning towards that at the moment myself. Area denial is a big factor for me. I would go Rockets though if GR was the only factor
Honestly I’m kinda disappointed with how they turned out. I was hoping for something along the size of movable extra-large characters (like a three-tile Bjorn the Fellhanded) but this just comes off as a pay to win environmental hazard chore rather than an actual sixth character.
That's because it is a pay to win environmental hazard chore
Many people lack the Xenos resources due to the many high value Xenos characters. Therefore the biovore is probably less interesting. And the forgefiend is probably the most interesting
I'm broke as hell on chaos resources, but that's because I've got Abraxas at D2 (47/40), and I'm saving up badges for when my Ahriman farm finishes up. Going to need that passive at 50 ASAP
Biovore seems pretty good, forcing reaction from you
But yeah malleus isn't bad I think
I absolutely loved the design of the Forgefiend, but he seems to be by far the most situational and unreliable. It's a shame that it requires a fire comp to be useful and i probably wont pick him
It will pair nicely with some Thousand Sons fire shenanigans.
It seems like the most useful to me. Just use it to light up the opposing team in round 2.
Vindicta buff
@mason6883 only if they have summons tho. There are matchups where his hades autocannons are total bricks
Biovore seems like the most fun to play around with. People mention that sporemines are too easy to overkill but just wasting a turn or ow, blocking range attackable hexes etc. should be invaluable in TA.
I agree that the malleus probably has the most consistent output for all game modes. Seems easy enough to use as well. I do feel that the top guilds will find nice uses for the forgefiend.
forge fiend also hard counters the biovore. Drop 3 mines? Forgefiend uses active to kill them all.
@@asurk533 I don't think I'd want to set the area my snipers are positioned on fire... if you force that then the biovore is already doing his job pretty well
@@ryukyle5913 I disagree. The harder you make it for your enemy to maneuver beside your long ranged hero's the more you take away their options.
If you need that hex, then you either move before the forgefiend active, or kill the mine yourself. If you dontz then let it burn and block the opponent's path.
Damage is good, but battlefield hex manipulation shouldn't be underestimated, especially on some of the maps with bad choke points or barbed wire already.
@@asurk533 you said it yourself. You need to use the FF active or kill the mine(s) yourself. I'm just saying that using the biovore's abilities to force your opponent to waste attacks like that is probably doing a good enough job, even if the mines don't explode.
It's about control. You make the enemy do something they do not want. It's like sending arjac behind the enemy lines. He doesn't have to dish out mad damage in order to have completed his job. If he draws fire and dies in a few hits and ices up a few hexes in the enemies territory then his job is complete.
It obviously depends on team composition but if you force the enemy to be reactive then you probably already have a team that can exploit that and not be bothered by the hexes in the enemy territory being on fire. Snipers sniping from your won side, unstoppable, flying all are unaffected by fire.
We will have to see it in action but I can see the mines forcing even ragnar teams to do things they don't want to. It could be placement, wasting attacks, positioning or approach but the fact that the mines have to be dealt with is already something that you can exploit.
Would you want to waste the ability like that though@@asurk533
I think the ammunition system should be like hero’s in clash of clans. You have a set amount once they’ve been used up you have to wait for them to recharge or reload in this case.
Na Fam, 2.50.- to shoot 10 times please.
I don't comment on every video but I'm grateful for all of them
Thanks
i hope they make a ork machine of war next! would love a bubble chukka
Thanks for comparison. Great analysis as always. The Malleus makes the most sense, buuuuut....the Nid one is just too cool.
On the one hand, I'm a massive simp for 'Nids but on the other.... I do have a full set of Guard characters and I do kinda love my Guardsman build. So Malleus it is.
Hmm. I'm a Tyranid player on the table so obviously I want the Biovore.
But I'm also a Tacticus player which means I have exactly zero Xenos resources to put into said Biovore.
Might have to go Malleus.
For my team, in which I use Ahriman and Vindicta, Forgefiend should be great option...
Man. If the forge fiend could target non occupied spots I would choose it so I could block off bridges with fire. As is I have to wait for enemies to use it. Then can block it behind them, not as good feeling. I don’t care about the damage, I want to control where they can move.
Biovore it is for me. Mess with AI as it will sometimes prioritize kills on the mines over my actual characters
For Eldryon's bonus, the boss has to remain within range at start of round if you want summons to benefit from it. Against mobile bosses, it's not so obvious
I went with the forge fire machine. Next event I will 100% being going with the artillery with the guardsman rather than continue to progress forgefiend.
A few things I’d like to add. In GA our Tournament arena when you’re down to 1 character who only has 1 hit, it’s really annoying to fight the guardsman as they spawn every turn and if you’re 1 behind on killing them it will be a long battle as you’re trying to battle fatigue them.
Secondly, you can use the forge fiends fire to light up hexes infront of enemy players as I’ve noticed you can only move 1 hex through fire so it will stop certain characters from moving very far.
Lastly, the bio mutants mines can be really annoying to deal with as they get close to your character which prevents you from using a ranged attack when in melee range.
I'm 100% picking the Biovore. Am I smart enough to make excellent use of it? Hah, I'm likely to cause myself problems every third turn with the mines, but the only way I'll get better with it is practice. I'm already bad at fighting the Tyranid bosses, so it's not like the Forgefiend or Malleus would dig me out of my roster-based problems lol
Love the content as always, and I hope you enjoyed your trip to Japan - the photos you two shared were all incredible
-That Maladus Guy
Thanks for the analysis Nandi!
Very nice content buddy. You’re the only content creator for Tacticus that I watch.I’ve learned a lot about the game from your content. As I’d like to learn even more about questio (if you or anyone here knows the answer):
Can we use any machine of war with any team? My main team is Aeldari and not sure if I will be able to make any use of first batch of MOW
Yep you can use MoW with any team! The only restriction is you can’t use the biovore against tyranid raid bosses for example ! Thanks for the kind words :)
Man, that poor Guardsman sitting behind the Malleus is going to get cooked.
Even with this wonderful comparison and analysis I still wanna go for that Biovore, I just wanna throw spore mines and wreak havoc on the battle field
Really sad to not see any faction trait for the MoWs, even if the one of the Black Legion sucks 😂
Amazing work Nandi, my choice is also the same as your 😉
Thanks for all your help as always!
@@Nandi40k my pleasure 😎
Ultra marines must get a dreadnought...🤞
For Ultramarines I was thinking a Thundrfire cannon would be the most appropriate for the established theming... but then I realised that's gone to Legends and the new version is the Firestrike Servo-turret, which of works even better. A dreadnought would be more exciting, I know, but I have my doubts, the Ballistus is just kind of too big and too frontline.
There are 3 other marine factions, from my limited lore knowledge I believe they more or less use the same vehicles so even if the ultra marines don't get a dreadnought another faction may get 1.
I'd rather the Space Wolfs get Björn the Fell Handed
I'm going for Malleus because it's imperial. I figure it would be most used because of that alone.
IG was also one of my factions when I played :)
Thanks for your Time Nandi
Great video! I was curious that you mentioned the spore mines would be vulnerable to boss AoE, but not cadians. Is that just because the cadians have higher armor and life? Some bosses also do extra damage to summons.
Guardsmen have a decent amount of health, spore mines are naturally squish
Awesome
Do we know if the MoW have the same faction restrictions as characters in raid?
ie:
biovore won't be be deployable against tyranid bosses
Malleus won't be available against rogal dorn
Correct - same restrictions. No biovore against tyranids as an example
Looks wise I'd like to work on the forgefiend but practically I think the malleus is the best choice.
I use prime and neuro in my main team, nids are my favorite faction so I will go for biovore
Biomass for the hive mind
my concern is the huge need for shards to level the MOW up, and having a strong fire linuep i will lean to forgefiend for my first just because I will have plenty of material to level it up
I think I'll probably get the forgefiend first just because I like it the most
Well I'm hoping for a D-cannon or a Wraithlord but I guess a Forgfiend will have to do for now
The guardsmen look good, but I think I'll go for the forge fiend first, since I don't use too much Astra Militarum.
Do we know if the mow have traits like mechanical? The rocket giving rho 12 hits could be interesting
These make me sad. I find them completely uninteresting. Couldn’t even finish the video (no fault of yours Nandi). I just wanted 5v5 character battles.
I don’t like big vehicles in 40K (I only play kill team) and I like them even less here.
The seemingly pay to win model with them is also worrying. This may be the end for me
Umm 5v5 battles do exist though
The whole pvp side of the game is 5v5 character battles though
I'm going biovore, I knew that the Battery would be useful and probably the best but it's simply not in me to not take a Tyranid
Id like to pick biovore since it looks ... just look at it and tell you would rather have boring launcher. BUT xenos orbs and badges are so scarce at least for me and Im nowhere near having team for forgefiend that sadly imperial launcher it is (and Ill not regret a bit using few of those 150 orbs I have)
huge ahriman runner here curious if ahriman passive affects forge fiend
It would boost the damage from the flame hexes it makes, or if using Forge Fiend active on a summon that's on a flame hex, but I think it'd mainly be to help make flame tiles for Ahriman's active, or just free plasma damage if stuff's already on fire
So, eitherway if you want for the maximum progress you have to go with your strongest faction? I'm F2P and just playing for few months so I only have , for imperials 3 Silver 1s, xenos 4 bronze 3s, chaos 2 silver 1s and the rest is bronze 2 and below. I really like chaos faction, and only imperials are deployable for forgefiend, so i can just go for it, yeah?
Hi Nandi
Always so quick!
Probably malleus. Should work with Act of faith too.
Man biovore looks much funnier but i lack Xenos materials
I wish Choas machine would be better (i mostly see it as a good option to slow down teams opponents movement with the flames), because i have plenty choas stuffs.
So i guess I'll go for tye battery 😕
But given they are faction based, that means certain guild raids won't be used. (Malleus vs the tank etc.)
Biovore for me - avatar the most annoying raid boss so if i can get those guardians down with spore overwatch when they summon in then i can focus the boss better
I just want artillery and a guardsmen summoner
What happened to eye of terror?
You capped out the malleus ability at three hits but several bosses are large enough to guarantee all 12 hits
An enemy can only be hit a maximum of 3 times
Not much choice anyway. No Xenos materials, no imperial materials. Lots of chaos materials so Forgefiend it will be no matter what. looks the best anyway. Too funny that in 40k years the imperials use artillery on rubber wheels XD
you can be a ghoulish monster from beyond the stars, but it still sucks getting an exploding rock dropped on your noggin.
I picked the rocket launcher..i think i should have picked the others. Oh well.
I'm gonna go with none? Ragnar LRE is #1 prio for me.
Orks gonna git stuck in wit a stompa
They better increase legendary badge drop rates...
HAHAHAHA
Thanks for the video, but still undecided... ugh
LVL 34 looking for a new active guild......want to learn lots!
Tournament arena shouldn't get it's 100% pay to win.
Pay2win confirmed 💀
Ugh, Badges
Fuck the guides, I'm taking Astra Militarum anyway. WHERE ARE THOSE DAMNED TECHPRIESTS?
All of these seems very meh and hardly worth the badges ...
Better then them being must have
It’s super pay to win 😂
This is absolutely disgusting and clearly just some pay to win bullshit. I knew they were lying through their teeth in that interview you did with them. Nobody asked for this. I stead of listening to actually community complaints and suggestions, they clearly just wanna add in some more cash grab stuff. Truly disappointing
You do understand that they need money to continue to update the game, right?
@enderknight39 you're right they're borderline about to close if they don't do this oh nooo! This game does just fine no need to simp for them. They're pricing is disgusting no need to defend it. You're not a paid partner lol
while i agree with you, they need dem monies to keep going. I just wish they'd lower the overall prices: i'd buy something from them but it's all too prohibitively expensive for a casual player.
They indeed need the money, but they already get plenty of it from HRE and LREs= this is their main way of getting it. Making the "daily" deals better value and lower price would be the way to grab more Dolphin attention, because right now low-spenders can only count for daily Blackstone and Battlepasses.
Munitions is a step in the wrong direction for the game, fight me on it
@TechPriestFred seriously they offer like $99 bundles to not even fully unlock characters. Plus those ridiculous 3k Blackstone to finish the last 10 or 20 shards in the LRE is just gross
Forgefiend with ahriman sounds fun
"GLORY TO THE FIRST MAN TO DIE, CHAAAAAAAAARGE!" commisar. dawn of war.
