I’m back at it with another upgrade. This time we’ll be working on a 2007 Squier Affinity Stratocaster. This one is far a far better base than the Bullet build, but it will get just about as many upgrades. This is a multi-episode project, and I hope you enjoy following along.

I may do a video of my new Squier Standard Stratocaster. 2 point tremolo, lefty converted, new bone nut, Z file the frets, polished and purdy. Afinity has strange years of good wood's. Stuck to the earlier ones if you want that. The Standard feels like a real stratocaster to me. The closest I've seen yet with the neck radius. They got the feel right for the fender feel. Prices of parts have gone way up
Do it! The standard is absolutely great, although the VM is really great as well. Standard parts are really rising. Thrift store prices are even on the rise!
@@hacksguitarhobby , I cant believe I saw one for 500. Yeah, prices are rising at thrift stores too. I was thinking, I need more parts and then I get another guitar. 😆 🤣 the Standard is a horse of a different color. More like a real fender than any of them so far. Just found an afinity stratocaster with 22 frets on it. That's That's good one I just learned about. Full thickness body too. Trying for 40. Cracked body
