- "Was it easier with, or without the moose?"
Timber talks about boiling the moose jerky, frying pike with lard, and the cold weather shelters.
(My moose stuff was brought to the US through proper legal channels. There's a taxidermist I can recommend who has a great customs broker and does it all 100% right!)
I AM team Timber. Man, what a gem of a human being. It feels like I've seen into the heart of humankind. And it is bright, and hopeful and joyful. Even in it's sadness and desperation. What a journey we've been privileged to witness.
Really enjoying your content and Q&As. Keep up the great work. You three were my favorite finalists to watch from any of the seasons. Three great guys with a lot of kindness and empathy.
Timber, Allen from KY here..I also am a man of unending faith in Christ and obsessed with the wild life..Im very pleasantly surprised that Psalms was allowed to be quoted on such a high profile television show in this modern climate. We expect truth to be outlawed, just as Christ himself was made a criminal for speaking truth. Ive never enjoyed a contestant more than the final three of this season, but I was pulling for you all the way, brother. God bless you and your family!
Tim, you are a very cool dude and you made this season a MUST WATCH series like never before. I truly enjoyed you sharing your faith. You are a hilarious and articulate dude we all would like to call friend! blessings!
tapping my chest im very very thankful what u did what have you done out there you always thanking god what have you get very heartwarming episode my god! team timber all the way man
What an epic end to Alone, easily rivals Season 7 which I regard as the pinnacle of the entire series. You three were so solid and each had their unique beauty and presence as human beings so it was easy as a viewer to root for all of you. That was some great insight regarding drinking lard... we were wondering why that condition 'disappeared'! As you might know from your travels... the Tibetan's drink butter tea. When I tasted it, I didn't quite understand the importance of fat and cold climates but now I do. Also, without the mention of those specific countries, that message of hunger and the sacrifice/gifting of that fish fillet was not lost on us as viewers... it was a powerful message & driven home at that moment to a profound level.
Truly an awesome time and yes moose lard great stuff.cheers
Bruh I almost cried when you tapped! For days afterwards I kept saying to my wife, I can’t believe he tapped! I understand your reasonings though. 😃 God Bless! Team Timber!
That meal looks delicious! So glad that Levi is there with you learning how to cook. The chat is fantastic too! ❤️
Thanks for making these videos, season 11 was amazing because of you and the other competitors.
I'm not at all religious but I thank the lard for saving your toes!
🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦Happy to CONNECT with you Timber! Great Job with the 🫎🫎🫎🫎!
So fun watching your videos! Thanks for answering those questions and giving us a deeper dive into to the reality you faced out there. So cool! I’m starting to appreciate nature SO much more than before.
I Love these catch ups Timber❤ Man that meal looks really Delish! The Sleeping Bag information is super valuable.
I was team Timber all the way! God bless you.
Love these videos. Rounds out the season to know more and get questions answered. Thank you!!
Great point to help people be safe in the wilderness. Test equipment first close to a place where you can flee if you can. Twice I got into serious issues because I didn't test equipment first.
Yay, Timber! You were awesome to watch and I continue to enjoy all of your insights post show
Love the updates man! thanks for doing the show. Alone is my absolute favorite show ever because I get a small slice of learning about life from people like you.
Levi's giggle when he saw his dad being silly by throwing the chili sauce bottle over his shoulder was adorable. Timber, loved you on the show! You shelter was incredible, and it was amazing seeing all your skills in action. Your respect for the animals and people of the world was really appreciated. Question: Would you reconsider any of your 10 items (other than your sleeping bag)? I would think the salt block to be very valuable for hydration! Cheers!
Hey Timber. Just a huge thanks for being an amazing person to learn from, admire and cheer for this year. Your reunion with your wife was incredible to see. I’m curious to hear just exactly how it was watching the episodes with your boys? That seems so rare and special. I have four great boys and would be amazing to experience something like that together. Congrats and thanks again.
This was so interesting! Thank you for posting. Moose lard sounds awesome. David McIntyre from season 2 also gained a little weight at the end. A special achievement on the show for sure!!
Was on team Timber(and then team Dub) for a loooong while, right up until the end. But that William, he's a 90´s Toyota LandCruiser, human edition. But what a blast of a season, probably the best so far. Thanks for the suspense, thoughts and hilarious tid-bits...
Oh, and a cooking tip, make sure the pan is sizzling hot, and consider frying in smaller batches :)
Interesting. Thai chili sauce on fish. Will have to try that.
Same here with the teeth Timber ,it's very annoying. I'm at the point just take them out n get dentures.
You were awsome brother your a good man God bless you and your family
Have a good weekend timber
God Bless.
Was pretty neat to watch the Mackenzie Delta in the Northwest Territories being represented on Alone. I spent almost 5 years in Inuvik and ran that river to the Arctic Ocean a few times in the summers and the Ice Road in the winter. I like Alone and hope to learn some bushcraft stuff for my own channel. Feel free to check us out and send some tips once in a while 😅
You know where I came from, good luck with your youtube career :)
Timber, I grew up heating with wood, so it struck me that we never saw you or any of the others put on what we used to call a "night chunk." Just a large, minimally split chunk that would burn slowly, hold the fire and provide some heat during the night when you weren't awake to tend it.
Respect!
About the sleeping bag. Was yours was down or synthetic fill? Which would you recommend? Which brand would you recommend?
Regular flossing, sensitive toothpaste, and soft toothbrushes helped me with my bleeding gums. Firm toothbrushes and brushing hard apparently inflames the gums 😅
My wife and I were pulling for you, bro. You are a great competitor and your ability to procure meat of the land was impressive. My QUESTION: Is that your first moose ? Being an outdoorsman in OH, I've only had the opportunity to harvest and process whitetail deer, turkeys, and small game. How did you know what to do with that massive bull moose? Thanks and I look forward to seeing what you do next. Good job!
I commented earlier about how upset I was when you left I didn't know about team timber but I consider myself on that team one of my questions are what happened to your cabin after you left who tears it down or what happens to it and 1 other comment that I had was I was hoping you would make like a little pool in your cabin in the dirt and put hot rocks in it to warm the water up for your feet was wondering why you didn't think about something like that.
I was on team Dub. My wife was team Timber. My son won with team William........
When he tapped out I think to myself. He should set one condition. I Won't hunt, and tap out when I am out of food. I think that was the best way going forward. That way he can tell himself I am here till it's over. Giving himself a somewhat set leave time could motivate him to go on longer. Just my thoughts.
@@gtccold This still wouldn't work because he had weeks of food left, he deduced it was his time to leave. 20+ hours of darkness will affect anyone's mental. He accomplished everything he wanted, left on his terms with his head held high
What a great video, Timber. It's nice to see you interact with your son. Thank you for sharing your experience!! That moose lard looks heavenly.
What brand of smoked alderwood salt do you use?
Was rooting for you towards the end ..
A smidge crushed when you decided to go home …
But we arent in your shoes.
Iam curious on tbat bag that let you down ? I had a similar event with a brand new bag that led to a horrible night …
Also
Something ive always been curious on …
Is the long lasting or short term effects on ones health ?
I do wish the show gave updates on peoples medical condition if pulled or tapped out under those
Conditions .
Anyway !
love u dont hide your faith !
And looking out for your book !
Thx !
So you guys have to keep quiet for a whole year?
My god am going to comment so much on this video. Lard itself helps prevent frostbite. You can literally apply on your skin and it'll help protect against the cold. If you think about it the original Chapstick is made out of pork fat. I think if you apply them on your skin it'll act the same as chaps.
I am not going to watch this yet but Ai will click like. I have not yet seen episode 11, 12. I'm a trucker in Alberta oilpatch and live in my truck for weeks at a time. Sadly, Google News spilled the beans on the winner but I still want to watch them... My question is this. If the Jerky was so hard on your teeth why didn't you just boil it and make Jerry broth with reconstituted meat?. No judgement here. I wasn't there
So was the show filmed last year?
How long have you been home , at the time of this recording?
I thought for sure you where going to win.
How do you apply for the show Alone? I was interested and looked online. Had a reply looking for $500 to apply.
Hi Timber, I've recently had al my root cannel teeth extracted, going with a couple implants and partial dentures, I'm almost 60. I'm missing about 10 teeth. I get the tooth issues. I wonder if going on a keto diet before going on the show to acclimate to a mostly meat diet would help in the gut issues? But it may put you on the slime side of things prior. About the moose, did you see any moose later in the season when temps got colder, cold enough to help preserve the moose, would you have maybe waited to take a moose once the cold set in and passed up on taking the moose in the warmer time? I liked William's approach to big fires outside but would miss a fire in the shelter for light and to pass the time in the evenings for the mental aspect. I was in the Timber Camp for the whole show, and really appreciated William's tactics and ability to play it so cool.
I have a question- do you regret not pushing through to outlast William? It seemed like you were in good form to keep going.
Interesting about the lard! So after all, it was important that you got the moose.
You mentioned quitting coffee before the show. Was this to avoid caffeine withdrawal headaches and things? If so did you taper off or go cold turkey?
Hey Timber,
My big question is, where did the venison come from? Is there a story?
You sound like you have recovered nicely.
Cheers from Alaska
Your son has better cam work than Uncle David Chang :p
I wish you didnt tap i was cheering for you. I think you and will could have gone for the record 😊
What about toilet paper? Also feminine hygiene products for the female contestants
Dude… didn’t answer the main question… WHY didn’t you eat “anything” while you were smoking pounds of meat for a weak?! Seems like you are ignoring the elephant in the room.
Also… how can food not be made small enough to swallow it whole??
Use deduction... He most likely ate a few meals, but it wasn't enough for the amount of calories he was burning. He was most likely hyperfocusing on his tasks because he was scared his food would spoil. There was so much stacking on his mind at the moment. Also you need to chew your food lol
@@KILLER9783 well he lost the game not eating enough that week so it’s a total f up
@@armandolara8210 Not really he left in relatively "good "health. he even said It wasn't physical reasons he left, it was the mental reasons
@@KILLER9783 that’s not what I heard from this video. :) good luck in life thanks for engaging!
