- I was a contestant on Alone season 11 in the Arctic circle. I did a few things that I thought might increase my odds. In this video, I'll go through just a few steps I took to prepare for the show. Alone season 11 starts airing on the History channel June 13. It was filmed near a small town in the Northwest Territories of Canada called Inuvik. How do you really prepare to get dropped off in the middle of the wilderness from a helicopter? I ate so many nuts getting ready for the show! It was like 1000 calories per cup. I got through one bottle of tasting olive oil and couldn't do it any more...

Question: why you and the other contestant didn't bring extra food ration?
@@nickcasolino8903 To bring food ration would mean I’d have to give up an axe, saw,sleeping bag or knife etc. Couldn’t do it!
How big was the area you were allowed to move through before the yellow brick beeps.
I’m not sure exactly, but it was a pretty big space. I’ll tell you one thing for sure, it was always a bummer when I heard the beep!

Are contestants allowed to take their normal medications or are they disqualified if they need medications?
I doubt producers would DQ someone for needing medications, but I’m sure it depends on how serious the condition is. You definitely have to be in a pretty healthy condition to go out there.

Yep. Pretty sure he won it. He let out too much info in this vid that ALONE Admin never picked up on. Releasing vids by competitors prior to series start should be banned. Timber clearly was pulled by Meds. Allowing competitors to release vids before Show starts completely ruins it for viewers. As for me - I've now lost all interest in it and won't bother watching any episodes. Better things to do with my time now.
Why don’t contestants tell the brand of their equipment? Are they instructed not to?
Its sort of a TV thing. Ever notice on an outdoor show where there is tape over a jacket brand logo? It’s very common to not mention branding on TV, but I don’t recall them telling us not to mention the brands though.
