I am late on this video and hate to ask a question and bring you back to a 3 year old video as I am sure there is alot of time spent serving the comment section
I have my 1rst airbnb, I am 2 months in and have been made a cohost, the details are complicated to write out here however the owner and I have not discussed being compensated for co-host duties I think he believes that somehow I'm going to do it for free
I have been cleaning a studio attached to the house and played a big role in getting the big house ready for the listing
I'm trying to figure out how to break it to him that first of all that the turnover is underpriced
How do I figure out how much I should charge to be the co-host the family is out of town for the most part and will be extremely depended upon my abilities to manage
I don't want to be taken advantage of however I don't know what to say or how much to charge thank you
Typically a co-host makes 10to 20% of the nights stay not counting the cleaning. So if you are doing the restocking, getting the house ready, ordering supplies, welcoming guests, and managing the property, you would make $10 to $20 of a $100 night stay. If $45 of that goes to cleaning, you would also make the cleaning fee to flip the room. That said, it all comes down to the agreements you make. @@AskAngelaBrown awesome thanks for the quick reply I'm just restarting my business after a 10-year break and I should have had a lot of this figured out before I got my first jobs he's out of the country right now but he'll be coming back so I want to prepare to have the conversation
In the beginning I threw out a disclaimer saying that right now I don't know what the official charge will be but moving forward we would finalize the agreement
