I want this for my 26” Gary Turner custom BMX, but the fork bottom won’t allow this to sit flush!

Whenever i tighten the stem lock my steering locks with it

Two quick questions (1) Is the bottom of the stem lock supposed to recess into the fork at all? Mine does not and I assume that's correct. (2) Should the bottom of the stem lock be positioned parallel with the tire or perpendicular to it? Thanks.

The bottom of the stem lock should be positioned parallel. If you set it perpendicular, you'll find that it will not slot in. I hope this clarifies things. Thanks for watching!
