Very thorough review, and honestly it’s accurate!! I have only tried Nami as a latte so far, but it’s more on the refreshing side as you say! I will try it as an Americano to see if I can taste the Matcha more!
I kinda had a feeling it wouldn’t be my type when I realized she doesn’t check the water temperature lol. Ashely is a sweet human being but idk if this is the matcha for ppl who know what type of matcha they like. Ippodo has spoiled me.
Omg I'm so happy I watched this video. I was looking to purchase Nami Matcha by urmomashley and it really helped to have a pre-review on it to see if it's the kind of matcha I'm truly looking for. Thanks so much!
Which Matcha's do you recommend that don't lose their flavor in milk? I tend to use a lot of powder so that I can taste it, but I hate it when the milk takes the flavor away.
sometimes it's the milk brand that you're using that makes it take the flavor away. the type of milk you use too like say almond milk, coconut, etc may have an effect of altering the way the matcha tastes
@@Cherryforgetmenot I love Ippodo. It's the one I use the most. Sayaka is my favorite though. The Ummon was just okay. I wanted to try something different. Thank you though! 🙂
@@Cassolelvr one thing I also suggest is less water when mixing in the matcha so it’s a little thicker. It’s a big difference in latte bc more water is going to dilute the flavor.
Your reviews and veggiekins are the only reviews I trust and not just saying it’s good because it’s associated with a certain person💓 thank you for your insights and reviews. I’m still trying to find which types of matchas I enjoy.
I wish I initially bought the kit that comes with matcha so that I could use the equipment with other matcha 😭 I’m not able to stir my matcha enough to get that bubbly consistency. Idk how to compare this with other matcha, but I think it’s fine. When I tried to make the matcha and pour it into milk, the matcha tastes weak? Like I know it’s there but it’s not as strong as I thought, even when I add more scoops than recommended. And when I add honey to it, it still doesn’t become sweet (?!? Maybe it’s my brand of honey 😭?) but when I use maple syrup the flavor is there, the whole drink tastes good. I completely agree with the way you described it when you added milk. Overall I think itsssss okay. EDIT: wow I've been making matcha wrong this whole time 😳 I've always used a spoon to stir the matcha when I really needed to whisk it. like badly. I've never been able to pick up on all the flavors like that. I tried to make mine like how Ashley advised and I'm shocked. I think nutty is the best way to describe it. it reminded me of butter and Playdough. I thought it was refreshing and then it gave me this caffeine buzz omg. I see why people say drinking matcha tastes like grass because this tasted so earthy. I don't hate it I just think it was interesting and now I wanna try other flavors of matcha. though when I added the syrup as Ashley did, I felt like this wouldn't get sweet. like it was barely there no matter how much I put in. and then I put in oat milk with vanilla flavoring and it was a weird combo i think the vanilla got in the way of me really enjoying it.

I honestly liked hers better than the ippodo sayaka
thanks for the honest review! 🫶🏼 love ashley too!
Thank you for your review!! You should try Freesia Park’s brand. It looks high quality but I’m curious on your take

ippodo has also spoiled me hahaha
Which Ippodo matcha do you recommend in specific? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
@@omartokhie9518 I drink the ippodo Sayaka as my every day matcha. For special occasions I’ll have the Ummon.
Not everyone checks the temperature lmao...even Japanese cafe shops. Its not that serious
@@Isabella-hp4mc it’s the number one way of ruining good matcha by burning it.

For bitterness, does 5/5 mean very bitter or no bitterness?
5/5 would mean that it's very bitter - for this one I gave it a 2.5/5 so it has slight bitterness in it

You can also just add regular sugar to your matcha and water and whisk it together, if honey or syrup aren't sweet enough!
I dint like nami matcha at all :(
