This is exactly the video I was looking for! I own a coffee shop in Canada and looking into serving exceptional matcha. Your videos have been very helpful 🙏🏼
Great job putting all this information together. It was accurate to what I know about matcha, and I learned some new things too! Also, they need to make an anime about "the next tea master"! 😁 The training he goes through, the different matchas he gets to try, the challenges he faces as he gets ready to take over the family business... I honestly think it would make a great story if it hasn't been done yet. 🍵
Ah thank you so much for this video , this is exactly the information I have been trying to find , you cleared up so much things I was wondering about matcha 💚
No problem! There’s unfortunately so little actual information online about matcha and something that seems like it’s only tribal knowledge kept in Japan 😂 so I’m glad I was able to shed some light on the topic!
Just bought my first macha product from a Japanese macha ice cream shop. I believe it’s Kinrin from Marukyu products. Pretty excited about starting my macha journey and this video definitely helped me understand everything the lady at the shop was trying to explain to me 😂. Thanks for all your thorough research.
Kinrin is solid!! I feel like it’s pretty balanced in a matcha latte (a bit of grassiness, and a touch of umami) Glad my learnings were helpful to you!
Thank you for this. I am highly addicted to matcha and started with the Costco brand. But I definitely want to try the ones you mentioned when I get a chance.
Thanks for this great video! It really helped me, I'm trying to get into making my own matcha lattes (starbucks is pretty expensive lol) and this video was super informative :D
Wow, thank you for your research and recommendations. I never understood why people would claim that "ceremonial grade" is not consistent from brand to brand. I was wondering if you'd ever tried Hizoudenrai matcha?
@@dougdoesdelicious Yes, I found another youtuber rate it as their #1 among 20 other Japanese matcha brands however that's the only review I've been able to find of it.
Hi Doug, Thanks alott for this amazing content. I would like to ask,. I'm looking forward to opening my own online store selling matcha but I'm quiet unsure on where to source it from and how I can get the best ceremonial grade for my business as I need it individually customized and packaged. would like to hear from you.
I tried Starbucks matcha and I like it, but I would like to try a Japanese matcha that doesn’t have sugar or at least a minimum of sugar. Which one you recommend to me ?
Man I bought some "ceremonial" grade matcha off amazon and while the color is good it doesnt want to mix and provided almost none of the inflammation relief that the stuff from my local asian food store from japan does. So mad rn but glad i didnt buy too much, time to get some ippodo this time and support my imported store until it arrives.
Hug The Tea sells organic bio ceremonial matcha on their website and in their café in The Hague. Most Ekoplaza stores also sell their matcha, but it’s a bit pricier

Glad it was helpful!!
Ohh what shop? I love that you actually care about quality and aren’t cutting corners.
I need to go back to Japan just to drink matcha lattes ☺️ the American ones are all either watered down or powdery 🥲
it's been pretty hard for me to find a legit one here
You can tell a lot of time and effort goes into your videos, loved this, so helpful, informative and interesting!!
While making the video I felt like I put waaay too much time on it, but looking back now I’m glad I did since it’s been so helpful for folks! 🤓

No problem! I haven’t tried Hizoudenrai, is it only sold in Japan?

Oh maybe the title wasn’t clear, but it’s been on my channel! It’s called “how to make the best matcha latte like a Japanese cafe”
Very informative and interesting video.

Beef? Really? You're going to compare beef to matcha? YUK! But this being said, your video is awesome.
Great work.
Haha was trying to find a decent analogy, thank you!! ❤️
WER IS PART 2 😅
But what is the best ceremonial matcha you can get with the highest anti oxidants? And also shipped to Holland?

@@lizzaminellii oh thanku! I bought ipoddo tea ceremonial yesterday
@@SharriePatroesjkaIppodo has great matcha as well! And if you buy in bulk, it’s cheaper than buying matcha in the Netherlands.
Thanks for explaining the usucha thing. I vastly prefer this way over laates. I wanna taste the tea dammit.
Where’s part 2?
On my page!!
