Hey, u forgot to mention this thing cost $4,000+ 😂
😂😂😂
Never mention the price in a commercial :D
😢😢
3700*
Might as well get a damn gaming PC
One thing about the Lenovo legion series is so true, they don't try to cut the cost in the ports. I like the notch thing with a 1080p webcam in the design, looks cool
and they eventually stop working due corrupt updates
The reason why I like Lenovo. Ports are important and I hate usb hubs which also share the bandwidth
$4,000 price tag, they def picked the right person to review it. NotUrAvgConsumer knocked this review out just like he does with his other videos.
He's a fking bad reviewer lol if you listen to what he really says this man has NO idea what he's talking about.. he's talking like anybody who would review the thing after seeing it for the first time
jarrod tech recently put a proper detail review on this 😂
The graphics just keep getting better. Shout out to you and the team for the dope visuals in the vids.
This aint even a sponsored video at this point, its a full on commercial. Hardly something "the average consumer" is doing
I want one 😮, the carbon fiber looks beautiful🥰
*The intro was EFFING AMAZING!!! 😍♥️*
Love your videos ❤
The size of modern gaming laptops just blows my mind. Comparing this to my GTX980 MSi from back in the day is insane, not to mention the lack of cheep shiny plastic
thank you for your honest opinion on this laptop. I was curious about it.😊
i love this laptop , and your montage in this video
Lovin the digital camo look of the top.
Love your editing as much as the laptop itself.
Tbh, great video, crazy how a laptop can look and perform this good
Awesome computer bro..genial video
Wow this looks amazing
I just got the 7i pro with the 4090 a few weeks ago, if I had known about the 9i it would’ve been a different story, what a beast!
Same here. Wonder if I can still return it 😂
me too, mine 7i pro with 4090 is still on the way, but please keep claim, this is first laptop with internal water pump so better keep an eye on it for more reliability issues... plus 9i is very pricy at the moment.
Same here, mine is still under way will.
Mine also same guys I got my Lenovo legion pro 7i 4090 but its cool and good laptop the design of 9i is stunning but....
Same here, but the price on the 9i is premium too, starts at like $4300 with a 4090! My 7i should be here in a couple days, got it for under 2600
Very cool video
Sir, the choice of games you tested makes me smile (same gaming preferences)!
Does the rgb really sync with the content on screen? Lenovo claims as such in one of their announcements. Or did I just get that wrong? Kinda like Philips ambilight? I can’t seem to find any reviewer mentioning this?
„The Lenovo LA-2 AI chip also syncs the Legion Spectrum RGB present in strips around the keyboard and bottom covers, on the top cover’s Legion wordmark, and in the per-key RGB Lenovo TrueStrike keyboard with visuals on the screen - truly immersing the gamer in the on-screen experience.“
I got legion 5 pro 2022 in march and that laptop is a beast. Im newbie pc gamer so the spec are perfect.
Some are commenting on how this isn't an OLED monitor. For many reasons, this monitor is actually better than OLED for anyone in the creative space and for many gamers. Before I outline why, I will point out that I do use an OLED monitor at times for a second monitor and this combination gives great results, but for a primary monitor I would much prefer this on a laptop. For starters, this has way higher nits than OLED, which means it is visible in a much wider range of environments. This is a big issue for a portable device. The response time won't be as good as an OLED at 3ms so for high end competitive gamers that could be an issue but it is very fast so for most it wouldn't be. Again, even in this scenario I personally would just use a secondary OLED monitor as my primary gaming monitor, but gaming is secondary to me so I don't need the absolute best response time all of the time. It also has no burn in, which regardless of what some may say, laptops are not a tv and burn in is still an issue with even the best OLED out there. OLED monitors use about 3x the amount of power compared to this style of screen. OLED does have a wider viewing angle, but when I am using a laptop, this is not only not an issue since I am sitting right in front of it, it can be a detriment when using in a public space since the narrower viewing angle gives a little more privacy. If one shares their screen with multiple viewers often, this could be a consideration for OLED. OLED has true black which mini LED does not so dynamic range under ideal conditions favor OLED, however in actual use I have found this is highly dependent on "ideal conditions" since once the ambient range starts to increase, OLED quickly starts to wash out. In the end, the argument for OLED vs Mini LED is highly personal dependent on how one uses a system and what they value most. For the reasons I've outlined I find for my use as a technical artist a combination of this with an OLED secondary monitor works best.
OLED is better.
Very detailed and insightful comment, thanks a lot for sharing this actually useful perspective instead of just bleating "guh no oled" like a good number of people here.
_looks at above reply_
What is best miniLED or OLED?
are you sure OLED uses "3x the amount of power"
I thought the abscense of backlights made them use less power
@@DNKG669 Microled also don't use a backlight. Do a simple google search on Microled vs OLED power consumption.
Also when you said rubberized is it made out of latex or something or silicon with the keyboard area? I have the legion 7i but thinking of switching
Love all the Yurman, got the same gold dagger bracelet and forged carbon pendant! Also, buying this laptop as we speak!
What a beast! Specs asides , Visually it's so beautiful.
Good afternoon, what do you recommend taking acer helios 16 2023 (rtz 4070) or lenovo legion pro 7i (rt 4070) and why? Thank you!
thats one cool laptop for sure. love it
That's an absolutely Behemoth 💯
I never heard anyone calling a laptop "behemoth" and take it as a positive thing. 😅
could anyone tell me how the mini led screen is i am concerned after razer's 16 blade mini led screen which was trash!!! and had god aweful blooming
Great overview, can you speak more to the battery life in regular useage? Also, does it have Windows IR Face Unlock?
Yes, it has ir face unlock
This is the best editing I’ve ever seen
I believe part of the reason there is a big gap behind the keyboard is that there is watercooling on this particular model. its not just the vents.
Nice video!!
Ur average consumer won't spend $4k on a laptop 😂
Probably laptop of the year with great upgradability and all but trackpad is a bit on the smaller side.
Who's really gonna use the track pad anyways
Your gonna buy a mouse anyway 👁️👄👁️
I had the Legion Slim Pro and had to return it because of a sh*t trackpad. I don't know if anyone else has had issues, but mine was soooo faulty.
@@officialdjdetox i have the Slim 7 and I love the trackpad
Acer predator triton 17x beats it imo
What wallpaper are you using?!
Hey Jud, wanted to ask if you have announced the giveaway winners from the previous video
Such a beautiful laptop
since you mention the screen and how some gaming laptop screen doesn't look right. So do you know how many dimming zones this MiniLED has? and you know how accurate the colorspace and gamma is?
very good point about the dimming zones.. if you are in EU you can get a laptop and return it if you don't like it for whatever reason within 30 days. I would certainly do this buy and just check the screen, battery and temps if they all work fine. If not return, and get Asus or Razor and repeat
This is the laptop that I need
this is awesome!
I need this one 😍
Added to my cart. I do light gaming but this is great for 3D production.
Great video, nice editing. Subbed! However, the average consumer is probably not going to be able to afford this, haha. For maxed config, I'm currently looking at $4500 on Lenovo's website. For that additional $1000 over competitors with similar specs, I guess you are getting the nice chassis, screen, and liquid cooling. Can't wait to see more in depth reviews on this from performance and temperature standpoint to see what else that extra cost gets you, but dang, this thing is nice!
Lol at 4500 it should provide 300Hz OLED not 165Hz mini led.
@@user-jg4ns7pn6c Yeah, I think the price is pretty outrageous but thats nothing new for a brand new top spec luxury laptop. We'll probably see discounts next year. But I don't think I can wait that long. Curently looking at Origin PCs 17x and hoping for a black friday sale. should be around 2400 or so for a 4080/i9 laptop which is very reasonable I think
@@user-jg4ns7pn6cexactly
@@user-jg4ns7pn6cI thought miniled is superior to oled
@@brandonmunda346in what world? 😅
Damn that looks amazing! great job Lenovo! I've got that same forged carbon on my car
Remember when Lenovo was basically about professional PC’s and peripherals? Great to see where they’ve come…
I have one getting one for my birthday
i got 7i with the rtx 4090....what a blaze. I got a steal price. The thermal performance is amazing..my gpu can easily max out at 175watt and the temps sittinga arround 70C. been upgrade the memory to 64b. The only downside i think is no hardware raid support on this machine.
Any problems with microstutters so far? Some users claim that despite maintaining good framerates there is noticeable stuttering when putting heavy use on cpu and gpu at the same time.
@@DaClaymore yes. some microstuttering happened. i’m not sure whether this is hardware or title related problem. I just tested it with battlefield V, the stutter happened during gameplay toward video scene, i thought it was due to slow ssd problem. yes the drive speed is quite slow compared to latest gen 4 nvme
I wish i can have one! Am still rocking a macbook air from2013
Wouldn't it be harmful to the display having all that hot air blowing on there?
lenovo is killing it!!!!!
I'm telling you. They're just getting better every day
Alright, we need this on thinkpads now
Some important points missed, I am curious about: 1) Color accuracy/gamut for us artists? 2) Can it be powered up closed in a dock from a wireless keyboard or mouse?
1) Up to 16″ 3.2k (3200 x 2000) Mini LED 16:10 (165 Hz / 3 ms Response Time / 100% Adobe / 100% DCI-P3 / 1200 nits / Dolby Vision Support / NVIDIA G-SYNC Validated / TUV Rheinland Certified 2) "wake on... " should work. I will test it once we have it in the office.
@@Brejdyou thank you! I'm quite interested! That's good news.
The screen quality is one of the most underrated and misunderstood features of this laptop. The specs are phenomenal for creatives. I prefer this to an OLED for reasons I posted in another reply.
I like Lenovo. I got a gaming laptop years ago and it still works fine
I'm just excited about the two Thunderbolt 4 ports and the SD card reader.
Yes ofc, paying 4500$ to get that thunderbolt.. smart man
@@4doorsmorewhors Who said I was going to buy it? I'm just glad that a Legion laptop is finally getting "basic" features offered in other systems. Hopefully, that will trickle down to the Legion 5 and the Legion 7.
@@tonytech5520 don't forget that SD card reader
@@tonytech5520 the fact that you mentioned that a 10$ sd card reader was important on a 4500$ says a lot about how the average consumer thinks
@@tonytech5520can't even say you enjoy stuff now without backhanded people 😂
Beast of a laptop !!
What is your Apple watch band name ?? Looks cool
7:54 I assume u were playing with the Caustic or Gibraltar they way the character was walking ...😊😅
Lovely ❤
Something about that laptop lid gives me 90s vibes for some odd reason. I DON'T KNOW WHY... Was that the era of foil trapper keepers? Just reminds me of my childhood.
Can you test the Tesla smart summon out again, and see if it has gotten better?😊
Does this have less ports than the 7i ?
Ah yes the price where I can just go buy another car.
so buy car no one cares
Where tf you getting cars for 4000 dollars what shit box are you gonna buy with that lmfao
What's the best Legion laptop that still has win10?
I don't like win11, and would like to continue using win 10.
I like Lenovo they make good stuff
Hey, what do you think about the ASUS Vivobook 15X OLED M1503QA (with AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800H processor up to 4.4 GHz, 15.6", Full HD, 16GB DDR4, 512GB SSD, AMD Radeon™ Graphics, No OS, Quiet Blue), is it good for a student?
No, you don't want an OLED panel for doing schoolwork because there will be static images on screen fairly often. OLED is nice for gaming and media consumption but it has its drawbacks and I wouldn't recommend it for a laptop. Mini-led or just a nice IPS panel would be a better choice imo. How much money do you have to spend? And do you plan on playing games on it as well?
How much is the model with those specs? 6.000 US$?
Those rubber textures break down into flypaper. I'm concerned about that. My rhino HOTAS is unusable, need to figure out how to remove it.
Impressive laptop
Is it better than Razer blade 16?
that destiny in the background
Cant find it on Amazon
Oh man, Jarrod definitely drooling on this machine 😂
I have legion 5 with rtx3060 and ryzen 7 5800H it. It's performance is very smooth 2021 model
I miss your Livestreams😢
That's a Legion of Beast inside this thing....
over 60 fps in Cyberpunk on ultra everything ?
why are you hiding the battery time?
Lenovo made their high-end into their midteir just so they can sell you an even more expensive laptop. Welcome to the 4090 effect
best laptop to be honest for gamers
It's hands down the best looking 4090 laptop. 10/10 for the awesome screen.
eh honestly i prefer the sleek toned down design of the acer predator triton 17 x
nah it's screams i'm gamer no thanks
4:02 that's an interesting looking mouse
first second i saw the laptop, it is a no go, the palm rest is the problem, its too short. you need to get an extended palm rest cover to actually make it a decent useable keyboard.
True legion 7i pro on steroids
I’m definitely gonna get one, but will wait for the price drop. The best config and warranty will set you back over 5k!
Can get a 4090 and 64gb ram with any CPU you want with the best cooling and power supply on the market for less lmao. Price is crazy.
Where can I get that iconic wallpaper?
X2 that wallpaper looks amazing, !!!!!
How much is it?
what the necklace you are wearing? I really like it!
I want it!!!!!!
7:32 what game?
Ngl some of the effects are unnecessary and are just a bit much, however everything else looks great 👍 Speaking as a supporter. 😄
This is the perfect laptop basically.... everything in one
tiny trackpad. keyboard pushed down with little space for your palm to rest. display is 165hz instead of 240hz. liquid cooling is for gpu only and not cpu. no ir camera for windows hello. price is 4400 when scar 16 can be had for 1000 less today.
It "like" has vents or it "is ventilated" ??? 😅
Yeah I dare you to put it through the Grindr literally RUclips would love to see the pieces being ground up. I don’t think you’ve got the guts. Quite honest with you. Figure of speech comes to mind. Thanks again for the video. Appreciate it, take care of your friends and family bye for now . . .
for coding and graphic design
Which laptop should you buy?
HP victus
(16GB DDR4, i7 12650h, RTX 3050ti)
either
Dell G15
(16GB DDR5, Ryzen 7-6800H, RTX 3050Ti)
I want quality and long duration.
I accept other recommendations
why you asking that here
Dell g15 have more power
Ironically, many of the build features were in Legion 7 2022
Another product that I can't afford. Still enjoyed watching it.
I'd say this laptop looks almost ideal, but they could have given it a better refresh rate, possibly an oled screen
and also an option that doesnt have the forged carbon design
😒 I put 4k OLED gaming laptop in the search bar and this popped up
I actually prefer the Mini LED display. Burn-in in any capacity ruins OLEDs for me
@@rapu4 that's why you use screensavers and turn your device off.
You have to treat any electronics with care.
@@The_Bastard_Heretic I worry more about UI elements that persist for a long while, e.g taskbar, toolbars etc.
Super
This guy should work for QVC, makes a great infomercial LoL
Nice laptop
Jarrod has to get his hands on this to compare against the database.
Please tell them to sell this is Japan with English keyboard.. please ask them sir
