I opted to include the cost per use on a pinned comment rather than clutter up the video. This is comparable to some of the more popular products on the market. In my opinion Adam's Rinse Aid would be more of a competitor to CarPro Hydro2 Concentrate as they are both dilutable. With that being said this is the price breakdown as of 2024. Adam's Rinse Aid: $19.99, $1.18/oz, $0.04/ml CarPro Hydro2 Concentrate: $62.99, $3.71/oz, $0.13/ml CarPro hydro2 Lite: $16.99, $1.00/oz, $0.03/ml Gyeon Wet Coat: $19.99, $1.18/oz, $0.04/ml DIY Detail Quick Beads: $19.99, $1.25/oz, $0.04/ml
One product that will have similar performance for a fraction of the cost is Formula 4 from Superior. I think it's performance is very similar and way less expensive. If I am wrong I will mail you anything from my store. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Gallon is about $22. Dilution is 10:1
Good overview Mike. I picked up Rinse Aid when they had the buy a 16oz get another 16oz free sale. For me it works pretty good to bring hydrophobics back, but it has not lasted very long maybe 3-4 washes then i start seeing it diminish. But it being so easy to apply taking maybe 3-4 minutes to apply and it being dilutable 9:1 i think its worth it especially at the price i paid during the sale.
@@MikeGDetailing Just a note I made a 16oz spray bottle diluted 9:1 after awhile like a month something was going on in the bottle. Looked like the rinse aid was linking in the bottle and had a gummy rubbery residue in the bottle, on pickup tube, and clogged the pick up tube filter.
Great video Mike. Definitely need to change the name on the product. Glad you covered how quickly UV damages and wears down a coating in California. That’s important info on why a coating is beneficial on any vehicle to help slow down that process 💪
Great Video Mike. Was curious where the info comes from on UV degradation of coatings in Cali? I ask because here in Colorado we have a higher UV exposure then Cali does due to our altitude and having less protection naturally from the atmosphere. At sea level you guys have more atmospheric protection. Adams is real close to where I live as well as B and B blending. There are a few of the products from Adams that were once called something and later discontinued and renamed as a new product such as the rinse less was changed to hoseless. Its my understanding there was some changes in the formula and more concentration.
@@VikingRocketeer thanks. It does not hep that it is sunny here a majority of the time. In Colorado you actually experience seasons. The rinseless would be a bigger seller if it was actually called rinseless instead of Hoseless.
Hey mike, Yvan told me that if you polish with the app, it can deep clean the paint and revive a coating. Maybe give it a try, i would love the see the results
lol shout out to neighbors and their pets and landscapers let’s not forget them 😜🐿️💨 don’t forget to put that measuring cup back on the robitussin bottle. i’ve only recently used 2oz of diy quick beads in a foam cannon with amazing results, this one looks promising along with wet coat and the like. have you ever tried drive auto’s beady beadz?
@ lol…i was gonna say you could almost foam on tussin that stuff will fix everything even the curb rash in the rims 😆 yeah beady beadz and bucket naked wash are on my list
@@Thecardetailingnut I think it is worth a try. I spoke with the chemist and he stated it was not meant to be super durable as it is intended to be used frequently without building up on itself and causing streaking or smearing like some other spray and rinse products. Even with the spray bottle application it is affordable.
Oddly named product, but looks like a nice quick and easy protection option or topper for a coating that is nearing end of life. I like the foam cannon application method vs something like Quick Beads, seems more consistent with less chance of streaking issues. It is always so foreign to me when I see how coatings fail for you guys in sun country vs us up here in the northern latitudes with all the weather/salt. We get our share of sun too, but nothing compared to you guys (plus my vehicles are always garaged). Any idea of what coating you're going to use next on the Impala?
@@jeffc6832 yup oddly named as it’s not even a rinse aid. The foam cannon application is definitely nicer than constantly pulling the trigger. As far as the coating I’m not sure what to apply next. I have a couple ideas but still debating what to use next.
@@TheBreakfastLover sorry for the late reply. I reached out to the chemist and durability can be up between 30-90 days depending on the typical durability factors.
