    Great application demo and overview Mike! I’m glad you enjoyed it! You touched on many great points. Thanks for your honest feedback.
    Yup, as you saw, the slickness and gloss improve as the hours and day go by. It’s very slick a few hours after application, but it gets even better. And the hydrophobic properties after that full week of chemical cure will be insane.
    Looking forward to the future updates on it! Great job with the video.
    Thanks for giving my products a try. 👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏻

    I did a single stage paint 4 years ago with another brand coating and it's like Attention to Details w/Chelsea showed today on her video, apply and then wipe off fast. Possibly that will do the same trick Pan's 3 years and 8 years coating.

    • @MikeGDetailing
      @MikeGDetailing  22 дня назад +2

      @@1stfrompuertorico568 yes that is the trick. Although this paint is not like the paint from the 70’s so the coating behaved like applying it on clear coat. Some panels were repainted with actual base coat clear coat and the coating behaved the same. Older paints can be tricky like what Chelsea showcased.

    I am going to be using Pans polish along with DIY pads, then Pans panel prep and 8 year on my 2012 FJ. I’ve never polished a car or put a coating on before, but I’m Looking forward to it!
    How did you remove the vents on the hood?
    When you polished this FJ how was the paint to deal with?

    • @MikeGDetailing
      @MikeGDetailing  19 дней назад

      @@BryanRushing polishing is not hard. It’s tedious but not hard. You will do just fine.
      The vents pop out. I have a plastic door panel removal tool to help pop them out. Very easy to do. For the ones on the wipers turn them on and leave them on the upward position to slide those plastic pieces off.
      As far as the paint this white paint is similar to single stage. It is not my favorite paint to polish as this white paint only likes certain polishes. Any other paint will be just fine.

    When I had ordered the whole CLEAN line from THOR, I wasn't sure where I would use the 3 year coating that was part of that package deal. With my son starting to drive, we found a '12 Ford Focus at a resonable price... so I guess I ended up buying a car for the coating. Last Saturday, I deconed, polished, and panel prepped, and coated that puppy. I'm saving the 8 year to go on my Bronco Sport. I am really looking forward to the first wash after the 7 days are up. The application was pretty good, and like you, Mike, I simply went by the time versus visual cues. The car I was coating was what I would call metallic smurf blue. Sure looked good after polishing and even better after coating. With the thickness of the coating, it was actually pretty easy to keep track of coverage as the color would darken / deepen as the coating was applied. For me, it didn't really flash and rainbow as I was expecting, but it's a very easy process. Thanks for your video, Mike. It really gave a good example of what to expect when installing CLEAN 3 year ceramic coating.

    • @MikeGDetailing
      @MikeGDetailing  22 дня назад +2

      @@RossT551 wow thanks for the praise. House of Rags is working on the UK distribution. Comparing both I would say both user friendly options. Pan’s is definitely slicker than Syncro and I would say slicker than Mohs but not by much.
      With Syncro I preferred just using Mohs rather the using the top coat Skin. There are a couple of reasons for this. First being Skin takes away the slickness away from Mohs and secondly I was not impressed with the durability performance of Skin. Mohs was much better by itself. If I were to do it again I would just do two layers of Mohs. Hope this helps based on my experience with Syncro.

    Hi Mike! Another cool vid! I have an unrelated question, I have a new car (6-7 months but it's my weekend car so not many miles) trying to preserve the offgasing of plastic,,new car smell" that I really love in this peticular car (I love the BMW new car smell) what would be your go to (unscented would be best) to clean the interior? I'm using DIY rinsless for it, and it seems like working good, just wondering what to use for a deep clean? Apc is unscented and I wonder if 1:30 would be OK? Have Gtechniq c6 on interior. Thank you!

    I have the Clean by Pan 8-year Ceramic coating coming, supposed to be delivered tomorrow Oct. 25, 2024 along with 4 other Clean by Pan items. FYI, I asked Pan if you can stack the 3 and 8 year like you can the DIY coatings.
