Huge help in learning the best way to do that PCV line to valve cover hose. What a pain!
What about hose #9??? The one with the label (This hose requires non-return valve to be inserted from OEM hose)...
ya I second Wankelcrazy..whats up with the hose that has the label for the non-return valve? I like the hoses but the box is like a huge guessing game..some kind of diagram would be nice to aid in installation Mishimoto!
This video doesn't show the replacement of the CBV return hose from the bpv to the turbo inlet hose
Yeah it's the only reason I watched this video cuz I couldnt figure out where this 9th hise goes
Great car man, I want one soo bad! before i watched this video haha.
The hose with the label is your brake booster hose
how come there is nothing for the sti?
Hose #3 was a hard one for me to take off and put on. it I had a LOT of trouble with hose #6 as well. I think it would be good to show some tricks on how to fit these hoses on. I notice that there was just an assumption that it would go on or "this will be a tight fit." It would be good to show HOW to deal with the tight fit as well (i.e. mechanics pick, heat, etc.).
HI Tim! Thanks for your comments and feedback - we'll take this in to consideration on future videos! :)
Thanks! It was a great video. I figured out that once I took the air filter off (as you recommended in the video) I could get to hose #3 easier. I finally got #6 on as well.
@@TimFleisher installing this right now, can you explain where hose #3 goes? Mine was detached at the bottom (probably why i'm doing this whole project).
I agree with Andy a lot of stuu was left out , and it was only the more complex steps. There is no way to get the hose from the intercooler to the top of the block off without cutting the OEM hose or taking the fuel rails out.... Honestly looks like laziness since there's no way he could have done that install that smooth
Is it okay to put hose #8 through the lower overflow tank?
is draining the radiator really necessary, seems like the reservoir only needs to be empty.
thank you
Hey let me quick ask, the very first hose you put onto the coolant expansion tank, can you tell mw whether you think that would stretch over to the middle of the radiator? I just got a rad from you guys and the ports oddly enough smack center of the rad. And after running into a couple fitment issues this is my last headache. So it would go a long way, thanks!
Hello Jon, could you please contact us at support@mishimoto.com? Your radiator should not have a center fill cap so we want to confirm what radiator you are working with.
Man you guys sure do make it look easy! I wonder if I'd be better off buying this kit or buying but spools of different diameter silicone hoses. At least with Tue latter I can cut to fit in cade any of them fall short wit this kit. I keep springing coolant leaks so I think rather than playing whack a mole with my hoses I'll just do them all at once. Wanna hooka Brother up with a free kit? I'll plaster your logo all over my bugeye if you do!

HA! Awesome! I actually just bought your silicone radiator hose kit. Ive yet to install it but if I dont run into any major issues, which I doubt I will, Ill be buying the ancillary hose kit next. Thanks so much for your reply! It's great to know yall are listening!
I also agree with Andy. Hoses that are too short and hoses that are too narrow are included in this kit. However, I'm sure the Samco kit has the same problems. To imitate this install video..."Obviously creating a well-fitted product was not on Mishimoto's top priority list." If you call and ask for a better hose 6, they will send you a straight hose, not a 90 degree elbow...I don't think I will bother asking for a hose 5 that fits, it will probably be another straight hose that will just kink.
Can you make a vid with diff color hoses so its easier to fig out where they go
Not a bad idea Justin! I'll mention this to our video team for the future if the plan to reshoot/edit this video. In the meantime, feel free to contact our customer support with any questions! support@mishimoto.com or call 1-877-GOMISHI!
what are the advantages and disadvantages of switching over to silicon. my stock hoses are starting to sweat a little so I'm looking to fix that.
+WesTay please email support@mishimoto.com - they will be able to answer any of your technical questions! Stay cool - Team Mishi
is there a non turbo kit ?
hi im new to subarus .... was wondering if this kit fits in a 1997 forester STI?
+zafuan adi please email support@mishimoto.com - they will be more than happy to answer any technical questions! :)
Hello!! i want to purchase the kit for my WRX 2004, however mine has the intercooler in front... not sure how the installation should be... thanks.
+Carlos “Tacuazin” Coto please email support@mishimoto.com - they will be able to help you out! Stay cool - Team Mishi
thanks for the prompt response.
Any chance to have a kit like this for the 15+ STI?
Not at this time. Sorry!
Does Mishimoto make silicone hose clamps for the turbo inlet?
We do not make silicone hose clamps. Sorry!
When you removed the inter-cooler you forgot to disconnect it from the turbo.
😂
this wont work for my 07 sti?
can you please verify if there is an option for the 2.5 2012 WRX ?
Unfortunately there is not at the moment - but check out this link:
www.mishimoto.com/make-model.html?make=Subaru&model=WRX&year=2012
This page should display everything that would fit your 2012 WRX - also we do carry universal silicone hoses.
Hope this helps! - Team Mishi
I drive a 2004 2.5L Forester XT which has a largely identical set-up to the WRX, yet its not listed as compatible on the website.
We have not tested fitment on the Forester. Sorry!
@@mishimoto thanks for the reply, if I get it I'll report back.
@@alexwatson8851 I also have an 04 xt. If you picked this up, did it fit?
will this work for 2015? also, is the overflow hose inluded in this?
Unfortunately this ancillary hose kit will not fit your 2015.
@@mishimoto I mean as far as installation goes. I just purchased the 15 hoses
is there an easier way to install those coolant lines without draining the coolant?
Need fitment guide for the 2004-2007 STi set.....nowhere to be found.
SILICONE ANCILLARY HOSES FOR SUBARU WRX / WRX STI, 2004-2007
+Ruan Vorster Unfortunately at this moment we do not have one and we are working on getting all of our parts their own installation guide.
can this fit on my 05 gdb sti too?
I have 07 sti
does this apply for the sti as well
This is a direct fit for 2001-2015 Subaru WRX
So this fits 2015 WRX
It will not fit the 2015+ WRX. It will fit 2015+ STI tho. This is a kit for EJ series engines.
Thanks for the info
Non return valve hose? Need help? Please answer?
If you are having any issues with installation, we would suggest reaching out to support@mishimoto.com.
Hose 6 will not fit properly, the amount you have to stretch each end surely makes the silicon go past its natural ability's, Mishimoto you need to try and fit hose 6 again and come back to me, Hose 9 where does this go on a 03 sti UK.
Hi Michael, please call our support specialists at 1.877.GOMISHI or 01384 897476 (uk)
Also, feel free to email support@mishimoto.com with any questions or concerns! -Team Mishi
please be careful buying this kit it does not fit as easy as he makes it look. the hoses are extremely small in diameter compared to the end your sticking in there. so you have to stretch the fuck out of the hoses. But I payed 130 bucks to struggle and I'm loving it. hopefully heating up the tube ends will make them fit snug. Anyone else encounter this problem or am I just shit out of luck.:^)
That guys voice sounds just like Eric the car guy
Why doesn't the Sti kit come with the hose #8 for the by pass valve
This video covers the Subaru WRX 2001-2005 Ancillary hose kit - the STi kit can be found here and comes w/7 hoses. www.mishimoto.com/subaru-wrx-sti-silicone-ancillary-hoses-04-07.html
I think ill take the i/c off first..
yep
Lol love how you skipped on how to remove hose 3 because it's a bitch. Let's be honest.
