Sebastian Bach, and Geoff Tate. Their range. I was blessed to see Ronny James few years before he passed. Dio, Scorpions, and Deep Purple. Dio shredded it.
Agreed. Unfortunately it was commercially unviable since in the mid 90s the heavy culture went out of fad and only retained die hard fans. So he fell back on Judas, that had a much larger following and didn't need to write genius music to survive.
Yes this is a shame. Halford is a good lyricist - when he has the opportunity and inspiration. I love Priest, but when their lyrics are decent. The cartoonish monster 'deadly wheels' etc stuff. LOL. I can listen to it as the execution is always good, but Halford seems better with heavy subjects and melancholy - in fact showing vulnerability and emotional anguish conflict; the issues of the human condition etc.
no shit. My favorite line up was with Russ Parrish. best metal line up Ever IMHO. Into the pit is the best metal song ever and the studio version of this tune holds my 2nd favorite guitar solo. I saw them in Asbury Park, N.J. in 94 and it was just f ing insane. I remember when War of Words came out the metal scene thought it was too heavy . ???? Too heavy. It was Brilliant and Rob really seemed to be having the time of his life. He was so into it live.
There is just something about his voice and lyrics. No matter how many times I hear his songs, I want to headbang and tear up at the same time. THE. METAL. GOD.
Best Fight song, and best Halford showcase of vocal genius, including of course Judas. Also, amazing guitar work; incredibly emotional and still technical and heavy. This is a masterpiece, unknown to most, since Fight was only a hiatus, but which would have otherwise been a massive hit. Immortal Rob.
To think Rob is what in his 40's here and still touring and the wail from the early 70's is still intact, the definition of a Metal God. Metal God voices never tarnish only ripen with age. Long live the Metal God 🤘❤
Yeah, right - that's why Priest and Halford are legends who have sold millions of albums, influenced countless metal musicians and bands, and are still kicking ass to the day, while Steel Panther are just a gimmick act who's joke began wearing thin after a year or so.
Absolutely epic. One of my all time favorite guitar solos too. What a song. What a monster line up. Rob quite possibly at his beast, best, I mean both.
Forming this band brought Rob's voice and passion back - you could tell he was bored and just going through the motions the year or so before he left Priest.
When I heard that he left jp and started fight you could tell in his singing and music he had this feeling he had to let out and let loose this band was right up there with the classics bands megadeth Metallica slayer anthrax and so on but they had there own sound witch I think was a fucking god send lol rob was running wild he is so talented as a singer and song writer and to this day he still brings something new to the metal seen 😆🤘 true metal god rob halford
@dcasotti some people just type to type, Halford is the greatest metal vocalist ever, that honestly is saying alot it's saying he's better than Geoff Tate, Dio, Dickinson . I know I've forgotten afew but really Rob I'd THE METAL GOD!
I actually kinda like it when a singers voice cracks on stage. Proof that it's a real human being up there and not some autotuned wanker. Rob Halford is the greatest. Not just in range, but his emotional delivery.
+Andrew James Yeah, people like Bieber and whatever the name of One Direction's singer is could learn a thing or two from Halford just in general singing. He's up there actually singing without any kind of computer attached to his performance and sounds significantly better than that autotuned crap. A computer cannot correct a bad singer at all.
Rob Halford is vivid page of the Rock Music history with unbelievable vocal and charisma . I was lucky to be at the live performance of Judas Priest!!!It was really amazing!!!Long life and good health to Yu Rob!!!
Man, seeing this live must have made the hair stand on the back of your neck 😎🤘❤️🔥👏 what a metal legend. I was suppose to see them on this tour with skid row and metallica but I was moving states from Florida to Arizona and left before the concert in miami(it would have been epic)
beautiful music, beautiful vocal, a beautiful band good times that won't come back anymore, I only miss that time. I miss 1994 when I went to the band's concert.
I Really Really Really Like The Fight …. Seen this Live in a small venue in Toronto, Ontario right up front and center ….. It was freakin amazing … really wish there was more from Halford and these boys !!!!
Rob was obviously inspired and rejuvenated, and he got his prime voice back when he formed Fight. On the last Judas Priest tour he seemed like he was over it and wasn't putting much effort in.
love this band! I really wish Rob would have kept this band together man.. both full length albums they did were heavy as fuck.. And they killed shit live.. great band..
WoW... Really??? What Happened To The Whole Show!!! This Was A Epic Show...At "The Jar" Venue On Indian School Road...I Was There At That "Fight" Show... Great Memories..."Fight" & "The Jar"....☠️🤘😎🤘☠️...4Ever❤️
Ronnie James Dio and Rob Halford, the best metal voices of all the times.
Darío Arroyo definitely
what NO BRuce Dickinson??
King diamond
@@HaroldFelt bruce dickinson's best work was on the chemical wedding imo, same w rob halford in fight & ressurection
Sebastian Bach, and Geoff Tate. Their range. I was blessed to see Ronny James few years before he passed. Dio, Scorpions, and Deep Purple. Dio shredded it.
Better than studio version. Emotions so high, that’s why I love Rob. No fake, 100% Metal God
This man's voice should get its own Hall of Fame.
this band should never have ended !

For sure ! This band was killer! I remember that I bought this cd the first few weeks it was out!! Halford and Travis are killer !!!!
@@pabloguazzotti2260 the band he formed after fight, Halford, was and still is viabile.

Early 40's.
Way older than 40 here
Man, Satchel was already ruling in the early 90s
Ruling then, and sucking ass since - Steel Panther are a bad joke.
Yeah, right - that's why Priest and Halford are legends who have sold millions of albums, influenced countless metal musicians and bands, and are still kicking ass to the day, while Steel Panther are just a gimmick act who's joke began wearing thin after a year or so.
They were never legends to me, only old farts listen to their shit.
his best lead work by far is on this album imo
Rob’s voice is so unique, commanding and emotional at the same time. One the best vocalists of all time! 🤟🏻
All that cum keeps the vocal cords loose
A crime this band wasn't bigger.
Halford by all eternity GOD OF METAL
How about a fight reunion
@@leiiiighA never happen
That solo is just too good...
If you can't pick Robs voice out your not from the 70's 80's he is above alot
Absolutely epic.
One of my all time favorite guitar solos too. What a song. What a monster line up. Rob quite possibly at his beast, best, I mean both.
Always pleasure to see halford who can truly sing , fight awesome band
3:14 FINALLY get to see how satchel plays that lick! Thank you camera dude!

I'm just grateful they made Painkiller before he left.
The last album from him was Painkiller, its far from going through the motion in my humble opinion
@dcasotti some people just type to type, Halford is the greatest metal vocalist ever, that honestly is saying alot it's saying he's better than Geoff Tate, Dio, Dickinson . I know I've forgotten afew but really Rob I'd THE METAL GOD!
One of the best voices in metal. Fight was such an underrated band. Rob's emotion here is amazing and that guitar solo :)
До чего песня красивая.
Rob Halford ,METALGOD ,VOICE OF METAL FOREVER EVER !!
Inmortal Halford
Russ Parish, amazing guitarist...
I think this show was at the Mason Jar in Poenix in 1997. Rob would have been 46 or 47. Rob Halford was born August 25th of 1951.
more like 93 since russ/satchel is still in the band it was 94 when he left and was replaced by mark chausse.
how good would a 2022,23 tour be?))) we need rob and fight back one more time in Australia 🇦🇺🤘
T’his is how a metal God Voice sounds. 🤘🏼
Rob expressing his feeling like this ... I've never seen that with Priest (and I am a fan of them)
The best album Rob has ever recorded.
Phenomenal solo by Russ Parrish
Satchel from Steel Panther
That little crack in his voice in the first chorus aside, this is the best version of this song. Great stuff. This band should've gone further.
I actually kinda like it when a singers voice cracks on stage. Proof that it's a real human being up there and not some autotuned wanker. Rob Halford is the greatest. Not just in range, but his emotional delivery.
Agreed. I am a huge fan of Halford. He is easily my favorite singer of all time.

sabbathtribute There is no better singer I have been lisining to metal for 25 plus years The Metal God is by FAR THE BEST LEAD OUT THERE PERIOD.
Chris Porter without a doubt. Anyone that disagrees has never seen Rob perform around 40 times like I have.

THE METAL GOD ❤ What a show that must have been. Amazing performance
One of my favorite solos of all time and this man(russ russ) would become Sachel years later(from awesome to awesome) 🤘😎🤘
Halford rules!

The best metal voice ever. Metal god.

Still sounds great in 2018. I wonder if any bands from today will still stack up in 25 years or so?
he makes the Phuckin air guitar look good!
Rob canta extramadamente bien en esta canción.
Badass! Rob Halford constructed one hell of a band with Fight. War of Words is such an amazing album 🤘🏻👊🏻

Absofknloutley underrated Fight was so good and this song remains one I love to crank and driftway to.

Rob Halford é o verdadeiro deus do metal, o cara é demais. Longa vida ao Judas Priest.
Grateful for all eternity that Halford/Judas split up that time: Fight and Tim "Ripper" Owens were born!
I feel that. As much as I love priest. FIGHT and Owens had to happen
Greetings fellow metal maniacs ♡ Don't forget to support the metal god by purchasing Halford's autobiography "Confess."
