Great tutorial video Caan. I've started doing these literally as a direct result of watching this video, so it really is appreciated that you are willing to share such information for no personal gain. I am yet to have a 4th/5th place 'winner', however I know that the odds are stacked in my favour with the limited liabilities I'm managing to seek, and the potential rewards, so statistically has to turn around soon. Also, I like the fact that if I use a 'Best Odds Guaranteed' bookie, and the odds drift out after I've set things up, I could end up making more profit if it wins....possibly even more than if it got the extra place :)
I think you're just each waying a ''4th'' favourite, the point is- we get a free extra ''place'' making the ''Win and each way'' profitable, because of the extra place line, we then lay on the exchange. You literally cannot lose the bet.

It really is a great strategy. Although matches that close are infrequent at best unfortunately. Sometimes on a busy Saturday you can find 3 or 4, but during the week its rare to find any that are +EV.
I've always found it more profitable to dutch the race if you have enough accounts.
Bet365 seem to have decent matches quite regular.

Nice, as I've just been more than happy at the 14:20 at Aintree ending in a dead heat I'll be happy with that strategy.
Skybet had £10 back as cash, 2nd - 4th, so I placed bets for a max loss of just over £1.
They paid out half winnings on the horse I backed (favourite)
Betfair paid out on my lay bet against the favourite.
I then saw that the favourite had been demoted to 2nd
Skybet then said they'd credited the £10 back as cash anyway.
Not a lot of cash to you but it's a perfect outcome isn't it?

I do a variation on this without using the bookies. I check the extra place races on Saturdays then check the Betfair place odds before racing starts. If they significantly higher than a fifth of what the bookies are giving i back the place knowing the odds will drop and i can trade out.
Ye the place odds really tighten up close to the start. Only downside doing such things at the start is odds can move quick so you need to be really slick. That's where it's easiest to get a really efficient match.
Terrific content well presented, thanks. I'm going to experiment with this although reading in the comments of how people get restricted is a concern. If the bets are placed in a bookies premises with cash ( I have Betfred and Ladbrokes in my local high Street. BOG and I see that extra places are advertised in the window) and hedged accordingly with an exchange will that avoid restriction outcomes or do they act in the same way as their online presence?

Ive got a bet that i think is worth looking into you bet on the current correct score when it hits 2 goals so 1-1 2-0 or 0-2 you back it and then lay for half the price to get an evens bet say you backed at 4 layed at 2 on say 1-1 you then cover before game starts 2-1 to outsider 2-1 to favourite and 3-0 to outsider as anytime correct scores if someone scores theres a great chance you will have the right score as 0-3 to slightly odds on favourite wont be fancied that much as expect the outsider to score in the first 3 goals so then you would get the atcs however if it backs at 4 and you get it layed at 2 then if someone scores you get a double whammy if the correct scores goes to as low as 2 for a the 2 goal score then you just back the correct score and there is a good chance you will get your money back.Its always best to do it when odds on favourite is away from home as there ismuch beeter chance of both teams scoring

Do you mainly do this in shops?
I would not do this as your only play with an online bookie or your account will be closed after a couple of hundred profit.
You'd be suprised how slow they are to restrict if you take those that are not arbs. In shops another way, especially via the automated terminals as the limits don't apply and no person to get suspicious when going back!

This is a very good video. The only thing I'm struggling with is calculating the amounts to lay. However if this software works it out for you then definitely worth investing.

I've been paying £15 a month for odds monkey for a while and want using it. Since I started using it 2 weeks ago I've made about £900 from 2 or 3 bets a day.

Honestly, there's not much you can do appart from get more accounts. The choices are pretty much; make a profit and find new accounts, or, lose and be allowed to carry on.
Sky odds are sharp on these races to account for the extra places....you will have substantial QLs. Kinda key detail you left out
You're right 99% of the time.
I sometimes get on them around midnight the night before though and you get a half decent one.
But yeah other bookies tend to be easier to get a good match.

Lay low and then back high at your desired odds. That's the only to make money on sports gambling
What most punters don't see with e/w bets, is that the e/w odds of their selection is absorbed in the lay out (stake). Your odds of 20/1 equals a 4/1 e/w price, yet at a stake of £30 e/w, costing £60, would see a return of £150 including returned stake for the place, so the actual odds that you're getting for the place bet are 6/4, as the overall bet cost £60 to place.

No plans at this time. Seems PR was a little too late to the party and as a free product many aren't so interested in supporting it etc. Real shame but it's got most of the other calculators on there (7 in total).
Any way of laying off sports bets to ensure a profit ! , Take advantage of an inflated price or special/promotion bet , then placing a lay off bet that will ensure a profit, you can bet each way on some sports , motor racing for one, but not really aware of many specials or inflated prices been offered

Yes if you can find more than one worth it, trouble is the bookies will factor in the fact there giving the extra place by lowering the odds in general making value hard to find

I don't understand it fully. When laying the bet the liability you pay is more than the win amount on the bookmakers bet unless you get the liability back? Very new to this. Just need to get my head around it better.
It's called hedging, the figures are to make sure the outcome is the same across all answers. Just like "cash-out" you get on a sportsbook. It's just that it's a manual version.

Far better off trying to find a local bookie with a decent offer on lucky 15s. There was one nearby here that gave you 5 TIMES the odds if you only had one winner. My dad and I must have taken them for a couple grand over a few years. They knew they lost on it, but it got folk in the door to put their fivers on stupid footy accums. Loss leaders. Be a smart shopper instead of trying to beat literal armies of actuarial scientists who get paid wages keep these loopholes tight enough that any profits derived from them are negligible.
Local bookies = captive audience. Odds usually worse in-shop.

Hi Caan, EP's have been my bread and butter for the past couple of years but as you know the stake restrictions come along fast.
I toyed with the idea of doing EP's purely on the exchange, for example:
If Matchbook are offering X2 place markets I.e two places and three places then I can back the three place market and Lay the two place market but odds are just so far apart between the two markets the QL's are massive. Any thoughts on this?
Ye that doesn't sound like it would work, especially when liquidity isn't great. Having the 0% comm can be quite a benefit too depending on what you do but they do have peramaters where they take it away if you're exploiting it.

The stakes are irrelivant, the risk was £1.29. Whole thing takes a few minutes to setup when you understand how it works. Appreciate it may look like a mare the first time around but it's really not.

There are no lies here, I think maybe you haven't understood... it only needed to place 5th, 6th, 7th for the disproportionate win. 20/1 horses frequently finish there.
