Leslie Nielsen did not find fame late in life. He started acting in 1950. It wasn’t until airplane in 1980 that he started doing comedy. Prior to that he was always a dramatic actor.
He made at least one appearance on the TV show Columbo which was from the 70s and he was in a 1956 sci-fi movie called for bidden planet.
Leslie‘s acting career spanned over six decades.
