I've got a new pet colony of #WeaverAnts (Oecophylla smaragdina) and they are truly epic! I created a tropical jungle #AntFarm terrarium for them, in hopes they would move in and create their signature leaf nests in the folliage of the setup. The habitat was high-tech and climate controlled, with an automatic rain system. Come join us as we discover the amazing world of Asian weaver ants, in celebratation of #3MillionSubs. This is Part 1 of our Weaver Ant Trilogy! Enjoy!

I started watching this channel after a little group of house ants moved into my living room. My mom killed them and I was VERY devastated. I didn’t care that they were crawling about, I was instead fascinated in them. They worked together to get little crumbs back to their home and even seemed to have emotions when I looked closely. I’ve always been fascinated with bugs of all kinds!!!

Weeks later Ants Canada decides that the pharaoh ants are too big of a problem and goes on to completely air lock his house by sealing of all window sills and the underneath of all his doors, As well he will dig a moat around his house and will begin doubling the thickness of his walls with metallic panels. As he finishes his work he sits down as the sun begins to set, he arms himself with his tweezers and gloves and prepares himself for the onslaught. #frickthepharaohants

Pharaoh ants are no match in a fight against weaver ants. Weaver ants are also super aggressive and territorial, much more so than trap-jaw ants and it only took one of those to make the pharaoh's back off. I'd really like to see some pharaoh ants try and set up in there.
