As someone with bad eyes: massive props to the guy that went in to get them back. Finding them on your own is a bitch and losing them sucks so bad. I hope lots of good things happen to him.
It's always great to see Louis (and Neil, and other youtubers) pushing their comfort zone and being supportive of each other, showing their fear, and being visibly brave or uncomfortable on camera. It's nice to know that the pros aren't born fearless and it is something that we can all work on and improve.
@@CatalystClimbing It is! Thank you for your reply. Im a bit like you; A scarecrow with strength that doesint make any sense, and thrives on and craves challenging things. Sent a tricky v4 with a dyno start my last session. Only been a handful of times but i love this.
Watched it way later, but it seems you needed your Catalyst T-Shirt to be able to do it :P Such a fantastic experience. Thanks for the video! I never climbed outside, and it's a challenge to find beginner climbs and more experienced people to join and give some advice. But one day I will!
when falling on dws routes in majorca I always kept the glasses on with one hand pushing them at the nose during the fall, with the elbow nicely tucked in. next time going with contacs though.
How do you cope with the wet shoes? Backpack full of extras? And do you also have another chalk bag with you, or three or four? That was a great climb and a great video!
The one thing I wonder about deep water soloing, is the chalk. Once you are in the water the chalk is gone right? Do they bring more chalk, and put in into the wet bags? I still feel like new chalk in wet bags still wouldn't work so well. I have so many questions.
It seems like you used your first choice pair of shoes (and shorts!) on the first go, must add extra difficulty if you have to swap for less good shoes every time you have to try again, but I guess it's also a good incentive like "oh god I don't want to have to try this in an ancient pair of Mad Rocks" 🙃
Here's an idea... a travel show where Louis climbs lesser known crags around the world while also experiencing culture and cuisine. You could call it "Searching for Climtopia!"
Looks a bit dangerous with the people swimming/paddling below where you fall. Am I seeing it wrong or is there some sort of messaging/signalling going on to make sure you don't fall onto someone going right below you without knowing they're in the danger zone?
My boat specs have a dual lanyard, 1 keeps them in position but if they slip, the other is linked and goes around my neck. If they come loose, they hang close and do not go flying.
Louis trying to make everyone think he's Alex Waterhouse from below with his shorts! Is it true that the Waterhouse shorts give you extra climbing power when over water?!
Sorry for the re upload! RUclips was being weird yesterday so we pulled the episode and re uploaded today
Gutted, A video at 360p as highest quality made me feel somewhat young again.
Glad to see the variety in your channel, Louis. Could you do a few more sport/trad, maybe a multi-pitcher?
You got this mate you got this
Absolutely heroic effort Louis. So sick!!
Need a collab!
No way storror
hi storror!!!
i met toby at boulder brighton!!!!
he was so cool
and i got a selfie
So this is why I was recommended this video
Good adjective storror

Me too!
yeah truly a hero
"If you need any tea and cake we've got a shit load on the beach" -- that girl said the most English thing possible at that moment, love it! :D
Haha loved Louis’s running midair during the fall at 6:00
Instinctive but useless!
@@althejazzman It stopped him landing on his side

Love these videos with Neil outside. What a legend he is.
I love seeing Louis out of his comfort zone, because it's relatable, but it rarely happens!
I so much want to deep water solo now! I love the ocean, I love cliff jumping and now I am getting into climbing as well. ❤
This is truly epic. Beautiful in every way. And congrats on the send Louis!
Amazing Louis! Love that you jumped off again at the end! Love your videos!
You are an inspiration Louie. I went to my first bouldering gym after watching a vid with you and Magnus.
thats awesome stuff josh! hope its going well!

Outstanding man, absolutely brilliant. And props for taking the big jump at the end.
These vids are just thoroughly wholesome and enjoyable. Just the thing I need at the current state of the world. Well done!
So good Louis!!! I admire your courage to face your fears
I think this is my favourite video of yours and honestly anything with you and Neil in makes me smile. GREAT JOB YOU LEGEND
You absolutely got the full experience taking that fall from the top. Must feel pretty happy about that.
If anyone was curious the 7a warmup is Horny lil' Devil.. guess Neil didn't want the video getting demonetised :)
Fantastic vid Louis. Maybe the best so far. You are not just a gifted climber - you’re a tremendous entertainer.
Watched it way later, but it seems you needed your Catalyst T-Shirt to be able to do it :P
Such a fantastic experience. Thanks for the video!

Great to watch and a fantastic effort, you and Neil make a great team and ditto on masters arête
Love it! Went coasteering there for a friend's stag and now I need to go back and try some DWS!
Wow this looks SO FUN, definitely love to try this one day
Crazy that I grew up minutes from here but didn't get into climbing till I moved away. Need to return and try some of the (easier) climbs here
The Neil videos are always so great , wonder what he has instore next time for Louie 😂
Brilliant video, I love watching you overcome the fear.
Oh thank god, the video got removed for me mid watch yesterday and I’ve never been left on such a literal cliffhanger.
Nice to see you outside of your comfort zone! This was amazing :D
Awesome, and always such a great background music!
Just wow 😍 My anxiety however, just went through the roof!!! 😬
Been here, right near durdle door in the neighbouring bay. Very nice spot for sea kayaking too.
Great job Louis, we all knew you would get it!

That was a great climb and a great video!
lots of spares and towels i would guess
Awesome upload Louis!
that was fun, thanks for sharing
That was awesome to watch!
So awesome
these videos with neil might be my favourite you've put out
Loving all your colaborations with Neil ❤️
Such a nice rock to climb !!
Dang congrats brotha man!
love the deep water solo stuff!
congratzzzzzz 🎉🎉🎉
Scared Louis face is really funny 😂
Great effort!
Wait so is there a mountain of wet chalk at the bottom of this lagoon?
Epic bail man🤟
Isn't the guy who got the glasses that guy from the Portland Olympian?
Well done on the final jump !!!! definitely the hardest part of this
Great Video!
What is the name/location of this cave/route? Tried to research around but cannot find anything.

It is not that expensive 😅 extra bags and chalk
Need to work on that falling technique, but great job and fun vid !!

Amazing video 👏
Great video! Amazing crag !
Gonna tell my kids this was Fantastic Beasts
ahahahhahaaaaaaaaaahahahhahhahhhahhaaa thanks
That begs the question, is deep water bouldering a thing? and if not, why the hell not? Great video, and well done Louis!
because it's not worth it to get wet shoes and lose your chalk for such short routes maybe?
It’s totally worth it, rock + ocean is the real deal! Shoes will dry, chalk is sold in big quantity
Crazy good video
Here for the hugs
Sick climb! :)
Was that Omar Bobat behind the camera at the end?
Enjoyable video, fun and has made me feel happy inside. Love my visits to Lulworth YHA and cove walking over to Durdle Dore.
2 videos in two days what a week!
Awesome video
great stuff
This is surreal. I used to go to stairhole like every week.
Wow, Louis really took a dive into deep water solo-ing 😉but honestly my palms were sweating every time your foot slipped
Je tremble rien qu'en vous voyant grimper sans assurage, sans corde, sans rien... C'est magnifique, mais c'est effrayant !
How many chalk bags do you bring for something like that?
sick one
thumbnail genuinely made me lol
this. looks. Epic!
DO MORE WITH NEIL
I’m guessing you only put a small amount in the chalk bag and just let it dry out between attempts? Wicked video bro, we’ll done
yes you can bring 2 or 3 chalk bag so while the bag dry up you can use another one , you can make yourselfe a chalk bag in plastic that dry faster
Falling in water scarier than falling on rock from even higher place, according to Louis.
what happens to the chalk when u fall in the water??
It gets wet.
Chalk water
7:22 the edit 😂
Can someone tell me if you need a SUP or boat to get to this crag? Or can you reach it by foot (scramble)?
You can scramble
Mega 😀

where is this?
Lulworth Cove, Dorset. Same place as in the new Magnus DWS video
cool.
Magnus just published a video where he did the 8a but also warmed up with the 7a named "Horny Lil' Devil". I highly recommend watching that.
Louis does Horny Lil' Devil in this video too
What climbing shoes is Louie wearing? They look like slip-ons. The Blundstones of climbing shoes, if you will.
Sounds like there's a swarm of hornets around...
wow
🎉👏🏻👏🏻

Dave is so charming
I also lost my glasses deep water soloing, but I lost em for good 💀💀💀💀
swear i saw this yesterday
Hahah
Wait I always thought Louis was an ex-pro climber, how is this his first 8a? Wasnt 8a like a warmup for pros?
Boulderer not sport climber
@@tingmo6669 So is Daniel Woods but he still has some 9a's.
GO ON LOUIS LAD HAHA!!!

Neil and Louis such a grat pairing.
bruh my best is only 6C
Way to just send 8a with like 5 pounds of extra water!
