You know what you’re right, it does seem very 90s! I hadn’t thought of that but yes! I think it was from the rollerskating collection so maybe that makes sense lol
The cardigan looks great on you, but that price is a shocker! I was going to ask my local boutique about the knitwear from the Manchester collection. I'm going to need to brace myself 😅
I have to look up that collection! I don’t know much about it! But be prepared for sticker shock. I was in recently and everything was at least 25 to 30% more than I expected. :(
Chanel increased their prices is one thing, but another thing is Japanese Yen depreciated a lot lately, therefore, Chanel prices in Japan become crazily expensive. I agree with you that this cardigan looks 3 grand to me (of which is already expensive 😢). I will not buy it for sure at 6 grand. And me too, had started to walk out from Chanel & ventured into more affordable & younger looking clothings. Most Chanel clothings, especially jackets that I have made me looked aged. Not only being broke, but also looking aged 😅😂😢
Agree with you completely. I was avoiding some of the other designers because they were aging, but some of the more current Chanel designs are also aging. Or they are just too silly, like the entire rollerskating thing … no offense to those of you who love it, but I can’t stand it. I don’t want hearts and stars on my clothes. We are not three years old!
Danni! UGH! What a shame... the cardigan is cute but not for that price point. I do like the Miscellaneous Bag & hopefully the leather will stand up to its price tag! Thank you so much for sharing💕
Hi Dani I absolutely agree with you. This price it’s insane. Its nothing so special about the sweater. That’s why I really don’t care if it’s the newest season, or it’s older, a few years back. The only things I am interested, that really something special and super wearable I my SF climate. So like maxi dresses . I love that resort living style, and it takes quite awhile to see them on TRR or other places, the rest always soon available. And actually this sweater reminds me a few years back sweaters. So unless it’s something very unique , I don’t care. I pretty happy to purchase previous collections, that gives me quality and wearability . Have a blessed day🙏❤️
It does take a while to have them appear… I do a search for the designer name and the current year and then I get to see what’s available for a reasonable price that’s relatively new… But sometimes The RealReal doesn’t have the correct year. Lol.
Hi Dani! You are spot on with the Chanel cardigan. If you remove the logo and buttons that scream Chanel this would retail probably a $200 cardigan or maybe less. Thank you again for the quick but informative video! 🥰
Too funny, but I thought exactly the same thing. I wish I could explain what it felt like in person… Like a really rough blanket. When I first tried it on very quickly I did not notice that and I only had two minutes, so I figured I would just pay more attention at home. I’m glad I did. That would’ve been a huge regret.
@LuxuryDesigners oh yea, for sure for over 6 grand that's insane and the quality is not there. Sending ❤️ your way! Stay as fabulous as always! You're my most favorite luxury, you tuber now!
Thanks for another fun video and it somehow feels like I am shopping with you 🤣 to answer your question Dani, the cardigan is so expensive for its style and quality. Truly a daylight robbery like another subscriber says. Hate to disappoint you, the bag looks cheap from what I can see. Maybe much better in person. Also could be because I stay away from any bag which has big logo. You have so many much nicer bags Dani
Haha I wish I could do a RUclips live, and actually virtually shop with everyone who frequents the channel! That would be so awesome! We could interact and share what we think about pieces! it is crazy expensive… And I’ve been kind of feeling the same about the bag too. I was really excited about it at first, and I am excited about the fuchsia, but if it was not too late to return the white one, I would have. Buyers remorse for sure.
I agree about these black-and-white pieces from 24C having "cashmere" that doesn't feel high quality! The price seems unjustified. However, the pink-and-green RTW items from 24C (and I assume the other colour combinations with the same styles, e.g. blue-and-purple) are made of cashmere that feels a lot softer and cozier and just really different from this black-and-white cashmere.
Agreed. The pink and blue and green did not feel as luxurious as the other designers, but not as bad as the black-and-white. I wonder what happened… I still think they need a source better cashmere though.
The price is insane! I agree with you that their cashmere is not top quality, it is not as light and smooth as other top brand. This piece is very classic both for style and color, but 6k? Insane!
Wholeheartedly agree. I’ve been checking out Brunello Cucinelli more Loro Piana more. Not thrilled about the older style designs, but much much better quality for much less price. What I wish is that Chanel would integrate the higher quality into their pieces. Have the fun design, but also the quality. They seem to be taking a singular approach.
I'm finding it really hard to justify buying anything from Chanel anymore... I still like their shoes, but I find myself looking at other brands for other pieces.
I’m finding the same. I was there, looking at so many pretty things, but when I got to the details, unfortunately, things were amiss. Not at this price point… the good news is that I think it’s causing many of us to consider brands that we had not otherwise!
I just can get my head around that price. I thought that the prices of knitwear were all over the place, some that I expected to be very expensive were in the 2K ball park and some that of the chart expensive. I think the way forward is to do exactly what you are doing and compare with other brands and reward those that produce good quality with your purchase! I'm finding myself more drawn to Fendi these days.
Yes - I still need to spend more time in Fendi. I’m liking Louve, BC, Balmain for more trendy pieces, Piana .. I’m not very thrilled with Dior these days because I feel like they just keep producing the same sweater lol I need to spend more time in Fendi for sure. Thanks for the good advice for all of us to check them out!
Absolutely I did. Highway robbery. The cashmere does not feel like soft wonderful cashmere. Very disappointing. I don’t know where they are sourcing but it’s not from the same place that the two sources designers of cashmere are.
The cardigan yes, is cute, but the price is a no go for me. As for the Chanel price increases (luxury in general) I wonder if they will end up like cars/ car dealers lately, they raised their prices so much that now there's been a collapse in that market, they are having loads of trouble unloading inventory. Time will tell!
Actually, I’ve heard from several folks at Chanel that are pretty high up that the market is “soft” for them right now… I wonder why. Our economy sucks, but they have been relatively recession proof in the past.
I am astounded by Chanel's ability tocharge what they do when for $250 you can have someone knit you a sweater in this style, in your measurements using Loro Piana cashmere yarn. (Pasma designs is a Ukrainian maker that comes to mind.) I love fashion, but the greed bums me out.
It’s so disappointing, bc the look of the cardigan, it’s classic and chic and timeless. But $6 grand just doesn’t make sense. 3500 is pushing it. But 6…..yeah….especially for how you describe how it feels. Chanel should feel like Loro imo. What a shame. Bc again it’s so quintessential Chanel and timeless….but the math just ain’t mathing anymore lol.
@@LuxuryDesigners yes I agree, i don’t see myself buying a bag from Chanel as I can’t afford it but even when I have saved enough to buy a luxury bag i don’t plan on purchasing from Chanel. They clearly don’t want my money and they aren’t worth they money as their craftsmanship and quality gone significantly down. I believe once they have shaken off their customers that aren’t extremely rich they will work on having better quality again or maybe they already have as I have heard they have private boutiques for their vip clients. It could be that the merchandise they offer there is of better quality.
Agreed… If we don’t, then they will just continue… I find myself just staring at pieces for much much longer longer before deciding… And looking at more details, and really contemplating the price more than ever. And it’s not just the economy, it’s what’s going on with the brand.
I noticed they changed it also, and then the pouches… They give us a white pouch without a zipper anymore. It just doesn’t have the luxe feel, but it has the luxe price. At some point that’s not going to fly anymore with consumers. it was intimated to me by an associate in another state that sales are quite soft… Even through this holiday. The last time I was in I heard four people pass on a classic bag because it was over 10,000 now. Just two years ago there was a waitlist for those. There is a point where people will say no more.
The bag is super cute. Some might not like how loud the cc is, but i think that makes it super cool. It almost feels like 90’s Chanel.
You know what you’re right, it does seem very 90s! I hadn’t thought of that but yes! I think it was from the rollerskating collection so maybe that makes sense lol

Hi Amy, so do you mean that if I buy in Japan I would get it more expensive compared to other countries? thanks
At first i thought it was a sweater from QVC....
😂😂😂
Danni! UGH! What a shame... the cardigan is cute but not for that price point. I do like the Miscellaneous Bag & hopefully the leather will stand up to its price tag! Thank you so much for sharing💕
I hope so because it’s a helluva price for the clutch! I think it should be a SLG!
Hi Dani I absolutely agree with you. This price it’s insane. Its nothing so special about the sweater. That’s why I really don’t care if it’s the newest season, or it’s older, a few years back. The sweater looks good on you. Cute sweater, but OMG the price. NOT for me at that price.
That was exactly my issue. If the fabric was better, and the price was lower, I would’ve kept it but I can’t do that. Ugh
I agree about these black-and-white pieces from 24C having "cashmere" that doesn't feel high quality! The price seems unjustified. It is absolutely! Unfortunately, the texture and feel of the cardigan were just as crazy :(

Would be a convenient phone pouch definitely quiet lol
Haha truth to that. Thankfully, I don’t carry much, but yes, I would agree that it is not much larger than a phone case.
I'm finding it really hard to justify buying anything from Chanel anymore... I still like their shoes, but I find myself looking at other brands for other pieces.

The cardigan looks fine but the price is too much. Are you going to return it?
Absolutely I did. Highway robbery. The cashmere does not feel like soft wonderful cashmere. Very disappointing. I don’t know where they are sourcing but it’s not from the same place that the two sources designers of cashmere are.

The price of that cardigan is dystopian....
Yes!!!!
I am astounded by Chanel's ability tocharge what they do when for $250 you can have someone knit you a sweater in this style, in your measurements using Loro Piana cashmere yarn. (Pasma designs is a Ukrainian maker that comes to mind.)

Interesting - never heard of that designer but will check them out! Thanks for sharing

I’m so with you. I’m missing Karl! a lot of the pieces just look like ghetto with some Cs and way too much money :(
I like the bag, the cardigan is obviously daylight robbery. Chanel is trying to be more exclusive and get rid of their less wealthy customers.
You raise a great point about the price point of the bag also… It really should’ve been called an SLG and half of that price.
@@LuxuryDesigners yes I agree, i don’t see myself buying a bag from Chanel as I can’t afford it but even when I have saved enough to buy a luxury bag i don’t plan on purchasing from Chanel. NO! No to the cardigan! The price is unacceptable. We have to be the ones to say NO, even if we love the brand.
Agreed… If we don’t, then they will just continue… I find myself just staring at pieces for much much longer longer before deciding… And looking at more details, and really contemplating the price more than ever. And it’s not just the economy, it’s what’s going on with the brand.
Wow! That is ludicrous
Yesss!
Chanel doesn't excite me anymore! It's a combination of the insane prices and the poor quality! Even the Camellia on the packaging is cheap. Smh!!

I’m sorry but the sweater looks cheap. You can do much better than this for less money.
Agreed!
