haven't watched the video yet but, i'll share my story of dating trans guys. was looking for a hookup on grindr, found a trans guy, I said it might be fun to do some things with a trans guy, next thing he's accusing me of being a chaser and blocks me. next trans guy i come across and i try and tone down the interest saying that im not necessarily/specifically into trans guys, then he accuses me of being transphobic and blocks me I can't win when it comes to dating trans guys

I mean, unless the trans person has had bottom surgery, then won't the hookup find out anyways when the clothes start coming off? So, it's honestly best just to tell just so they aren't surprised by the revelation and can back out if they aren't into your genital type before things get too awkward?
not sure why this popped up for me, not my usual content. i think you are very brave to voice this opinion, of course i believe you are correct, but i know that some folk would wrongly vilify you for saying this. im a straight bloke, and the thought of going back to a womans place and then they only reveal they have a penis just as they are taking their clothes off, i would feel incredibly violated, and would consider this a form of SA, though i do think i would know right away if someone im chatting to was a trans woman. i dont think it would be very likely for a man in this situation to actually physically attack the individual, but i guess you are right that it is a potential scenario. as i think you stated you are a gay trans man, if you were not to disclose you may also encounter a man who is expecting a penis, only to find out there isnt one, and from chatting to gay guys, they definitely love a penis. same goes if you were hooking up with women, they might not be happy. as you said, i think you're just being a shitty person not to be open about it. interestingly, if i found myself joking flirting with what i presumed to be a gay bloke, and they revealed that they were trans and actually had a vagina, id probably be far more open to explore further than if flirting with a woman who later revealed she was trans, even if she no longer had a penis. arent humans odd.

We managed to navigate safe sex in the 80's. Surely we can find a way to handle this. Idk, I'm not very active myself.
It's just adding on the bio, checking,. using a tag, anything, really. It's a matter of safety, I wish people were more attentive to their safety
