Yep.. it was coded to move with the wind, melee animations, etc. Im sure that they cut it out cause they didn't have a solution for the blades not clipping. Just make them go invisible as soon as Kratos puts them on his back.

There are a few moments where he gets hit and doesn't dodge but Kratos doesn't get hurt or flinch, so I think his game is modified so he wouldn't get hit either way

Usually, I would agree, but Thor isn't disappointed with Kratos's skills here. He's dissatisfied with his strength, KNOWING Kratos is holding back the entire time. Thor wants a fight, not a training exercise.
Well, they probably didn't design the game around mastering the Thor intro fight to the level where they can do clever things with dialogue. Should have just made better taunts. The scripted ones are great, but the combat ones are kind of poor.

@@Marcelelias11 I wouldn't go that far. Thor is extremely powerful, and even Kratos makes note of his strength without Mjolnir. I think Thor and Kratos are equally strong, but Kratos is better at managing his strength. He fights smarter, not harder.

I really wish they added a cloaked armor, or like a skin decoration similar to how shields worked on GoW 2018, but just losing the cloak at the start after the Freya chase and never getting it back is so disappointing
I think that works better. Thor isn't mad that Kratos is acting weak he's mad that Kratos isn't defining himself through bloodshed and war. Being on the defense and only trying to disable Thor rather then kill him is a threat to his entire identity.
All for his pride, ego, and his mad genocidal tendencies. Hundreds of thousands would've been saved if the answer had been ''Yes''. Odin should've flown back to Asgard then returned with a dozen Valkyries and Heimdall and smashed Kratos then and there. But as Heimdall noted, Odin's only flaw was seeing the best in people. Sadge.

Yeah, it does. I almost always rocked the level 1 survivor set look when I transmogged. Like, the black and gold looks kinda cool, but it doesn't fit an older Kratos as well as brown. It's just kinda tacky and gaudy. Plus, the small tints of red are nice touches. I was hype to hear they added the cloak, and then I saw it and was like "Welp". Black and gold would've been a good color variant, but I don't get why the default one wouldn't be the box art version. So close yet so far.

i dont see the appeal of GMGOW. Enemies are just sponge af and most enemies have a heal move. Thats the worst kind of difficulty. There are no alternative Boss patterns to learn or something that catches you of guard from a Boss you already fought 10 times before on normal. The only thing that GMGOW is doing...is making it more time consuming and frustrating if you die.

Absolutely love the cloak during scenes, in fast paced combat though I do miss seeing his muscles and markings. With the chains I’m not sure how it would work without severely clipping. I hope they add it anyway for the sake of option at least
Yea I'm sorta realizing why they removed it for the majority of the game, it looks passable here but not great and I imagine configuring the physics on it for all 3 weapons + cutscenes would be extremely difficult

(Notice how he had to defibrilate Kratos with mjolnir) but then again he would've continued to live as Odin's puppet and Atreus would've been enslaved as "Loki"... So by reviving Kratos... I’m not ashamed to admit I was a bit weary of playing Kratos with a cloak throughout Ragnarok as I want to see more of the armor resembling to the 2018 look but as I played the game, I immediately regret that I didn’t get to roam around with that cloak and now wish we can actually get it through a future update or DLC.
Your cloaked mode is impeccably fantastic! The fur cloak really suits Kratos, but the showstopper is your combat! Love your use of the pillars as bat's, and your sense of timing and rhythm in attacking, parrying, blocking, and evading are very pleasing! 😌
everybody, rewatch this video, and concentrate on the facial expressions of the characters, especially thor. it makes you appreciate the game just that much more
The fact that there are physics applied to it hurts. Means that they probably wanted to include it but removed it late in development. Hoping it returns in NG+
12:55 When Kratos’ axe strike Thor’s hammer it created the lightning beam and it freezes because of the frost from the axe. Thor then said “this feels familiar” - this is because every time you see a frozen lightning a battle was fought there and only the frost of the leviathan axe can cause the lightning to freeze. Kratos responded with “what?” because he didn’t know that Faye, his wife, fought Thor with her axe. So many details to pick up after you play the game the first time!
Thor whistles to the Raven, calling it over. I think he did so to find out how long it would take for Odin to get here. He knew someone like Kratos would refuse Odin's offer, so the sooner it's out of the way, the sooner Thor gets his fight.

I hope they release multiple capes for new game plus it feels a little disappointing that we didn’t get that for the whole game, not that by that much mind you but I would have loved to have had like a cape made of a dragons wing or some old spartan cape like how they made a spartan shield skin in 2018

(Notice how he had to defibrilate Kratos with mjolnir) but then again he would've continued to live as Odin's puppet and Atreus would've been enslaved as "Loki"... So by reviving Kratos... Thor indirectly defeated Odin and saved the realms.
He would live until Odin Died from Old age and Then Thor becomes Lord of Asgard.

I’m not ashamed to admit I was a bit weary of playing Kratos with a cloak throughout Ragnarok as I want to see more of the armor resembling to the 2018 look but as I played the game, I immediately regret that I didn’t get to roam around with that cloak and now wish we can actually get it through a future update or DLC.

Your cloaked mode is impeccably fantastic! The fur cloak really suits Kratos, but the showstopper is your combat! Love your use of the pillars as bat's, and your sense of timing and rhythm in attacking, parrying, blocking, and evading are very pleasing! 😌

The way Thor swats his cloak aside to reveal mjolnir is the same way, and same cinematography, as the scene when Zeus reveals the blade of Olympus.

The fact that there are physics applied to it hurts. Means that they probably wanted to include it but removed it late in development. Hoping it returns in NG+

12:55 When Kratos’ axe strike Thor’s hammer it created the lightning beam and it freezes because of the frost from the axe. Thor then said “this feels familiar” - this is because every time you see a frozen lightning a battle was fought there and only the frost of the leviathan axe can cause the lightning to freeze. Kratos responded with “what?” because he didn’t know that Faye, his wife, fought Thor with her axe. So many details to pick up after you play the game the first time!

At the table, you can see that Thor doesnt want to fight Kratos. But the Raven (Odin) reminds him of why he is there.
I don’t think so. At the very beginning of the fight Thor says ,,I’ve been waiting for this”. This quote suggest that he want to fight.
Thor whistles to the Raven, calling it over. I think he did so to find out how long it would take for Odin to get here. He knew someone like Kratos would refuse Odin's offer, so the sooner it's out of the way, the sooner Thor gets his fight.

This ‘Kratos was knocked out’ thing is headcanon.
@@trentportier7054 You're looking way too deep into that moment. Unless the devs themselves came out and confirmed Kratos "died" and was resurrected then its just as much headcanon as thinking he got knocked unconscious.
@@Beforezzz Ah yes, the death loading screen came up & his health went to zero for absolutely no reason at all. Not to mention Thor actually uses Mjolnir to revive dead things in mythology, and brings them back to eat them all over again just like he did with Kratos to fight him all over again. Definitely knocked out 😂
