    I have noticed over the years that non greasable ball joints vs greasable have always stayed quieter. People tend to overfill and then rip the boot. Also aftermarket bushings may make more noises. It's all a gamble...factory or aftermarket.. nothing these days is made to last. It's what we all get with production manufacturing. Thanks for sharing

    I had a 2017 Silverado that had squeaky rear springs. I lemoned it over them. GM and the dealership attempted to fixed them 4 times, including a complete replacement and by the time the lemon case was done the truck had 37,000 miles on it. I took the MSRP for MSRP trade in on and got my wife a new Traverse. I still don't know what the actual issue was.

    Helpfull tip you can’t really check a wheel bearing a 4x4 by rocking it at 12-6 o clock with out loosening the cv nut
    You can sometimes get by with using a pry bar under the tire with the cv tight but the nut itself will hide most the play by hand anyways

    Yes it is.... I have had many experiences with aftermarket level/lifted trucks. Stay away from aftermarket. Buy a truck that has been already lifted.. such as the trail boss, raptor, rebel etc... The factory engineers are smarter than suspension manufacturers. In addition your truck would be built with all safety standard in place. What I mean by that is that your airbags won’t go off with a 3 inch lift while you are off-roading... which happens.

  • @croomrider9785

    This is why I went with a 6” lift instead of a level, the angles are horrible, especially for 4x4.

  • @briangay5418
    @briangay5418 5 лет назад +4

    Anytime you modify stock suspension you maybe maxing out all the front end components especially with those big ass rims and 3 inch leveling kit. While people think they look nice they add twice the weight and that alone without the lift can wear the suspension components early. It looks like you took care of the squeak but it will most likely come back. Invest in some impact tools or get a 4 way tire iron.

    I'll bet it's just loose wheels.
    You absolutely have to torque these. Then, run them for around 50 miles or so and check the torque on each wheel again.
    Good torque wrenches pay for themselves every time you use them and will last a very long time.
