- IT’S CHRISTMASSSSSS!!! You guys went H.A.M. on the last bakery tour that we did when it was still scorching hot. We thought we’d bring you a Festive Winter edition, and gallivant around London to see what some of our favourite bakeries have to offer at this time of year.
We started at Fortitude Bakery, famous for it’s viennoiserie and beignets, then headed over to Ô Craquelin Pâtisserie for delectable petit gateaux. Stopped by the epitome of standing inside Christmas, Bageriet (A Swedish bakery), checked out Jemma’s favourite, Arôme Bakery, St. John’s Bakery, Chin Chin Dessert Club and finally back on home soil at Crumbs and Doilies.

emailing Netflix to pitch a series where Jemma travels around the UK and the world doing bakery tours.
Yes please! 🙏
Jemma's concentration reviewing all the pastries and every passerby staring at her 😂😂😂😂😂
When I have a table of baked goods in front of me to be honest I don’t notice much of anything else 😂
Happy Holidays to everyone, where ever you may be! 🎄🧁
As DELICIOUS and as FESTIVE this is I have to say that lady with the shocking looking eyes just topped it off😂😂😂 16:03
Swedish lady here. You were most polite regarding the saffron bun. They are a traditional Swedish staple. The flavor is definitely not for everyone. A better choice would be a Bulla. These are also very traditional Swedish buns, commonly eaten with a cup of coffee in the mornings. They've got a very delicate, sweet flavor. Skol! ☕ 🥧
These tours are amazing and when I return home.. your shop is a MUST!! Thanks Jemma!
You are fab at describing textures, tastes and baked amazingness. Thank you Jemma!
Fabulous tour and those wonderful delights looked delicious 😋 ❤
Thsnk you for taking us all along on your tour! Love your narration, the sights n sounds and views. Happiest of Holidays to you & everyone viewing. ❤🌲🆕️🎆 May the Sprit of the holidays be with us ALWAYS.

I live in Asia at the moment with never-ending heat and I'm missing Christmas in London so much!! Thank you for making me feel positively homesick ❣
These tours are fantastic! Thanks for sharing. I love seeing all the different pastries and ideas (US subscriber/follower). All the recipes are fabulous as well!
Hi there, Jemma! I just love you and your recipes, guys! Greetings from Brazil!!!
Your tour today brought back memories of Christmas past. A time when families would place a Victorian tree as the centrepiece in the middle of the room, carefully decorating it with small bags containing everything from popcorn balls to chocolates and candy fruits, etc. On Christmas Eve, we would gather with family and friends, and during the festivities, you would wear a blindfold, circle the tree, and pick your treats. Along with some gag gifts, nothing too bad, but someone always got a bag of coal-a couple of BBQ briquettes wrapped up. And who ever got the coal had to clean the dishes after the party. These are fun times filled with laughter as a way of bringing people together before the celebrations of Christmas. Take care and thank you for a year filled with joyus goodies
Hi Jemma! I loved this bakery tour. Can’t wait to go back to London and do the same tour. Merry Christmas from 🇺🇸
That couple taking the picture 😂 think they loved your lighting.
Thank you, Jemma!! Please, come back with new recipes for us!🎉😊❤
Fantastic tour. Thank you. The cinnamon buns at Fortitude Bakehouse are the best in London, maybe the world!!
Love love the tour. Desserts 🧁 awesome BUT Christmas decorations in London are spectacular. 🤗🇨🇦❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You absolutely took me to London! I LOVE THAT!!!😩💖
Great tour, thank you Jemma, YUM!
I hope you are ok after all these sweets, Jemma! Thanks for trying these for us
Late to the party here, well after Christmas, but those gingerbread blondies in C&D looked amaaaaaaazing! I will be in London in late August for a few days and hope I can pop into C&D as part of my touristy wanderings. No gingerbread blondies that time of year but plenty of other treats I'm sure. Maybe I'll have to recreate this little walking tour Jemma did. By the way Jemma, if you go back and read old comments ... I still make your Pastel de Nata recipe and noticed that these amazing little tarts are starting to get popular in South London! Portuguese bakers are moving to London to open shops and make them for the Londoners! If you search the London area for Pastel de Nata you'll find several shops making them these days. And for anyone else that decides to try their hand at making Pastel de Nata, go straight to Jemma's recipe. I reviewed over a dozen recipes and Jemma's is still the best and makes a great Pastel de Nata that is very much like the ones I had in Lisbon.
Yaaay love this series ❤️
Yum yum yummy, love these bakery tours, but now I want to taste
I've been dying for you to do another bakery tour. I'm in Australia. I might never do this tour. So this cute bakery tour vlog is so wonderful!❤❤❤
Feeling the festivities through this vid🎉

How fantastic, I'm no where near London but watch your videos often and there always so lovely. You've great charisma and connect with the camera really well. If I ever come to London I look forward to finding goodies to come and try on this circuit of lovely foods.
Thank you. I enjoyed this so much!
I love your christmassy outfit, so cute!
My first visit to London had me flying hime with a full wheel of cheese from Neal’s Dairy. What a fun video! thank you so much!
Everything looks so yummy. I wish I can just pop across the pond to try some
Covent Garden! My fav place!
Happy Holidays Jemma!!🎄🩷
Covent Garden is amazing Jem London has the most beautiful and incredible food in all of Europe ❤
OMG! All those tasty treats! You are KILLING ME! They all look wonderful. Thanks for a great, Christmasy-inspiring video. Poor Dane doesn’t get to eat (but I’m sure he got some nibbles!) and those crazy tourists at the end are like a touch of icing to this video. Great job. Your videos always make me so happy & hungry. Cheers from Upstate New York!
Oh he definitely gets to eat! Don’t you worry about him 😉
love that there is a Swedish bakery in london! As a Brit living in Stockholm and working here as a baker (in a gluten free bakery) I can highly recommend baking with saffron - although lussekatter are super popular leading up to christmas, there is a specific day when people will buy these (Luciadagen 13th Dec) and then the same dough is shaped differently so it becomes a saffron bun and more generally christmassy. Swedes love a day to celebrate baked goods, maybe a series on these would be interesting to others around the world? The next big day is what Brits call pancake day, but here it's Semla day :D
Omg, this is the video I needed.
I was just in london and only flew there to go to crumbs and dollies. Loved everything
Aside from any huge blessings you have Jemma, just be very thankful you don’t have an insulin resistance issues.
Since I found out I have this, I had to scratch out visiting Europe, since I know I will not “in every strength in me”, be able to resist their bakeries 😭💔
Will be there next Thursday and will be popping into crumbs and doilies for a treat!!!!!
In Australia we eat the cheese board before dinner that way you can eat dessert afterwards too. Best of both worlds.
love this more videos like this please

I’m coming to London for desserts!
The swedes always go mad for Christmas so not surorised its the most christmassy. Grest find, ive never seen that one before.
‘Apart from my child’ 😂
This was so awesome. So Natural. Have you guys ever considered Coconut condensed milk. My family love it. Burnt butter and Coconut condensed milk Russian fudge.
I like all of the nosy people in the background
Swedish person here and i just want to clarify that eating Princess-cake on Christmas is not a thing in Sweden, we usually eat the green one on birthdays but never at Christmas.
Also the Lussekatter (Saffronbuns) are not supposed to have suger on them like a donut, that is something they came up with but i have never seen it anywhere else. They should only have raisins pushed down in the "swirls".
I think they fell out in the bag lol. Thanks, this is very interesting 🤔
@@CupcakeJemma They already had suger on them in the shop if that is what you mean?
Lovely walk around 😊
May I ask where did you buy that beautiful scarf?
Merry Christmas
It’s Acne but it’s a few years old now. They have the best scarves 💔
I want to move to London so bad.
Everything looks soooo yummy........how do you stay so slim!?
regarding the Swedish bakery, you need to do a collaboration with Donal Skehan whose wife is from Sweden
Hello do you guys have a lemon blueberry cake recipe?
Yum looks like you had a terrible time eating all those treats.😂
you pronouce it 'baa-gaa-ree-et' :)) - love these vidoes!!!
Hey jemma do you have a discount code I want to order your cupcake book from Australia 🇦🇺 🙏 ❤
Que Rico todo como haces para saborear todas esas delicias 😂👍👏🏻🥰💛💙❤️
Bump
Carnaby is my favourite spot in London, having a bakery just off of it must be a dream! 🥹💜
This is a problem, jemma. It's starting to look like the vast majority of my trip is going to harry Potter stuff and all the food/ bakeries!
@3:13 £15 for that yule log is ludicrously expensive. I get London is expensive & that store is in an expensive part of London & they need to charge more to pay the rent etc. but that price is so high it’s insulting. If I walked into a bakery or any store for that matter and saw that I’d be immediately turned off & most likely wouldn’t return unless it tasted so freaking good I hallucinated bunny rabbits jumping over rainbows while eating cotton candy. If the overhead is so high they need to charge high prices why not make the bakes bigger? Even adding just an inch to that Yule log’s length makes that £15 price tag becomes more palatable. Where I live in the US there are these donut shops that think it’s ok to charge 3 times as much money for a donut just because it’s pretty enough for Instagram. Maybe I’m turning into an old & crusty curmudgeon but $6 for a freaking donut is insulting - these donuts aren’t large or special donuts or have expensive ingredients they just have glossy icing on them & are perfectly round & smooth. I have zero problem buying special donuts or high end pastries for $6 but they’re just plain cake donuts that don’t even require the prep yeast donuts do. I made donuts all through high school for my job so it’s especially insulting.
It works for them, you don’t have to shop there
Just a London-Bakery-Owner here 🙋🏻♀️ so that particular bake was for sharing between two people. But that aside, in the last three years since COVID, the Russia-Ukraine war (affecting wheat imports which also affect animal feed which so then affects the dairy and poultry industry) and climate change causing various droughts/floods which then affect the crops, our costs have increased on every single ingredient that goes into our cakes. Anywhere between 30% and 60%. In addition to that staff costs have dramatically increased and there is also a cost of living crisis. Also, yes, rent in central London is a bitch. If you take that Yule log as an example, there were at least 6 different elements to that cake, all of which were made by hand. All of which use high quality ingredients and all of which require a skill which I can only dream of obtaining. So I actually think that £15 is pretty reasonable. Cakes like this are not an every day thing. But they are a special indulgence. And sometimes, in a world where things are pretty f-ing miserable and bleak, you just need to spend a bit of money on an amazing cake. Ya know. X
Hi Jemma I'm Laura you can invite me in I've will go to winter festival too tasty goodies 😅
Someone please page Trixie Mattel to do the Swedish pronunciations
🤦🏻♀️
those people nosey af 😂
Not a Swede, but swedish-speaking. Bageriet is pronounced Ba gge rììì et!
I couldn’t concentrate watching the sit down part in Carnaby Street, the cuts are brutal maybe next time have a still background so it’s not so jarring with the pedestrians jumping
Everything looked super tasty! However, the video was super choppy with all the cuts at the end and I had to stop watching.
Oh please
