The story behind this school is extremely upsetting. I hope the owners gets exactly what they deserve!
It'll be so awkward if someone didn't get accepted xD
LOL!!!!!!!!!!
Yikes, I got to tell you something
@Şahanşah Bnoarg The owners of the school were scam artists, barely teaching the kids the correct material for their age and giving colleges incorrect information which is why they had a 100% college acceptance rate
@@josuahingle no way!🤯
I got to tell you something, promise not to get awkward...
This video didn't age well. Rofl.
Best comment of the day.
Anyone with a brain saw that this whole thing was a scam empowered by far left politics that controls the higher education system.
Can someone explain please?
@@bmclg The media fell in love with this school and reported on how successful it was. Now the story has come out that the school is a giant scam.
They faked student applications and grades to get their students admitted. The "school" is literally a one room warehouse with no teachers, is unaccredited, and would threaten students who didn't go along with the scam.
Universities (even "top tier" ones like Harvard) ignored all the warning signs because they were so eager to admit black students. Meanwhile, an Asian student group is suing Harvard right now because of how high those same schools set the bar for Asian applicants.
@Larry Chunk wow that’s really sad and disgusting
My parents live about 15 mins from this so called school!!
Damn shame what they did to those kids

Well its your own personal choice to wake up to the screams of hell
valarie 254 iiii
Ikr amazing
Yea they were cheering about getting in even though they lied on their app
idk why this made me cry, but I’m so happy for them
Elle Chu thats sad
all their years of hard work in school, elementary, middle, and high finally paid off, I'd be happy for em too
elementary doesn't count. but middle school, it depends.
Q L they still had to attend school 5 days a week and put in effort for 7 years..
everyone had to and it wasn't that hard
Imagine what it's like when they don't get accepted
they have a 100% acceptance rate, it was in the video
They meant 100% of students are accepted into a 4-year college not 100% of students into their top college. Amazing nonetheless.
Ayomide Adeoye if I went to that school it would have been 99% lol
Someone always has to bring negativity in a positive situation
stfu ayo you dumb omg shut up kid
Jesus how smart is this school
you’ll realize that getting into colleges like that aren’t all about smarts
butt bat Affirmitive action works for less selective schools and a lot of people don't apply for colleges with Afirmitive action. That is kind of rude to assume.
butt bat actually they are hella smart, they look at your academic scores for college smart stuff
butt bat affirmative action is aimed towards white women. They have helped a very small percentage of minorities though.
Tyler Gordon Is this true? because i'm sure it's not but i agree that they haven't really help all that many people

Ashton Kao I just saw that wtf
Ashton Kao LMAOOO I'm dying, didn't even look like a hard push, the boy just went down
That is MIke
The physical abuse was noted in the New York Times article today ... along with the school faking transcripts. Sad.
It's now come out that this school was/is heavily abusive towards students, falsifying transcripts to get college acceptances. The man that pushed the student here is the one behind it all.
This is how I’m trying to be. I’ve got one more year.
you got this!!! work hard and never give up on your dreams
Good luck
you can do this!! try your best and work hard 👏
I hope u don’t get accepted :)
Hanna you will get accepted
16 Years Old!!! Damn, I thought I was smart with my 5 A’s and 2 B’s. Guess not
Ben Mone Bs aren't good enough when it comes to these things lol
Gisel Lora thank you very much for letting me know
Gisel Lora if what you say is true I won’t apply for Harvard, Yale, Princeton, or MIT like I was planning on
Ben Mone just try to get a bunch of As and a good gpa
Ben Mone however, if you improve your grades from here to the point you start applying could help. If those two Bs are the only grades lower that As you have at the moment then I think you have better chances. Also focus on your tests and extracurriculars!
I was almost in tears for these students until I read that this school falsifies transcripts and records so the students get into top colleges and so that the school has something to boast about.
I know it is not the student fault at all and that they get abused here and that they were serious cheated of a real education.
Hearing the hidden story behind this makes the tears of joy turn to tears of pity. It's awful that they were abused and lied to, and because of that, they will now struggle in their classes and be personally accused of cheating.
Harvard, MIT, Brown, Stanford... (probably all of us know how hard it’s to get in there)? This is entirely WRONG and deserves a full-length investigation. No shortcuts to Education whatsoever!!! So sorry for those kids!
Congratulations! There should be more college preparatory schools available to students.
This is an incredible video! It is a joy to view the elation on the faces and in the hearts of the classmates, as well as the student accepted to the various universities.
God bless each of these students.
stfu you idiot
I mean it’s not that they aren’t available to all students but they try hard to pick students that aren’t there to waste time. I go to a college preparatory high school, and my 8th grade year applying was rigorous because they want people to do to the work and be serious about the school because they are helping you shape your future and be prepared for college. Not everyone can handle it
Oof
mhm
They went to a school that lied about their grades and various other kids and the teachers beat them
Two years later, they are caught in their lies. LMAOOO
Whos here after NYT posted that vid

honestly I remember looking back at this when it was on Facebook a couple times with my mom and I was so inspired by them to get better I'm now in the 9th grade and well only a year after it was first shown it turns out that the school actually taught them nothing and they just made them fake this for millions of views for people to like them and think they were actually a great school but ye that's just if you didn't know about it.
the video's actually weren't fake, they were actual acceptances. They did however fake almost every aspect of their application, transcripts, activites, etc
damn that explains why everyone in the room is always ready to support with gear and cheers 😍that is some incredible school spirit right there
Lack of representation and social setting can really do something to your mindset, because she said “Most African American girls just end up getting pregnant or not doing anything with their life.” She doesn’t know most African American girls tho, it’s because the environment she was placed in, so sad
No they aren't. Black women are in regards to black men but that means black woman have to have more degreees per person. So no they don't
n wo well I mean the single motherhood rate for black woman is 70% so it’s great for young woman to stand up and say no to that
SmoothSwingTV oh please, show me your statistics then talk
Fraud School
Even worse she didn’t even get accepted legit it was a scam
I could watch this all day.
Well um, this is awkward a year later
This is so nice! I wish kids at my school were this supportive of each other
No, you don’t.
This would be amazing if getting into your dream school meant you can actually pay for it :/
so true...
Most ive leagues and Stanford give full ride for students who family income is less than $65,000.
Or if it was actually real.

Scammed. Even juked the Washington Post lmaooooo. What a fraud.
Happy to see these boys hard work paying off and being Educated. This is the type of stuff I want to hear on the news
This how i was when i got accepted to College. Instead it was just me and my mom celebrating. This video is awesome. Good luck in college guys! 👏🏽🙌🏽

Jeff Lam - we don't know that.
congratulations on all the hard work ,and may you continue to succeed and be happy in your future!
I'm so proud of them. Can't remember what I did when I got accepted into my first choice uni and that was literally just last year...
Im from future, its all fake. Its on NY times and also Ellen, none of them accepted
Well ,they said if something is too good to be true then it is. . . Poor children
Just imagine if they looked back at the screen and it turned out they didn’t get accepted it just looked like they did.
i couldnt see the last quote cuz of the fucking video overlap
“Most African American girls end up pregnant or not doing anything with their life. I know my mom wanted a different opportunity for me. TM Landry was the way out.”
I love seeing people so excited about their colleges and future life!!
Guys , why is everyone disgusted at this video ? What happened ?
So they lied in their resumes about sat scores and school academics , I’m that school theirs no teachers and they have to teach themselves , they treat their kids badly , it’s hell, and they just want a good look for the public when behind closed doors they’re manipulating these kids
Just recently saw the news from The Washington Post on how they are scamming the kids and acting up a nicer attitude toward the public.
Should make a compilation of those who don’t make it. Instead of cheering it’s an awkward silence.
This is beautiful 😭
Mosidi Tenyane - this is fake
I don't think many people over here realise the story behind this school. It's not the students' fault, but the fact that other deserving ones got robbed off of their chance because some school wanted prestige and reputation is sickening.
Anyone peep the guy in the yellow shirt dragging them around when they’re celebrating 😂😂😂
sal farhan 😂😂😂😂😂 I noticed that too
sal farhan that's the head of the school

Kinda funny because the LA school system is terrible but good for them! Shows that even the hardest workers will succeed no matter what.
Itz Tiger we have a different system from regular schools and according to the state we aren’t even a real school
This had me in tears. What a special way to celebrate.. Making memories.

This is a blessing this is just beautiful
I understand that the school boosted test scores and grades given out, and even added classes that were not taken but... test scores and grades are not the only part of the application. These students had to also write killer essays to get in. The school didn’t write those essays, the students did! Not only that, you also had to mention extracurricular and awards. You can’t make those up either. So, while the test scores and grades may have been inflated, those students were still very accomplished as they have clearly done well in the other parts of the application. You can’t just have good inflated grades but 3rd grade writing for your college essays and get in; doesn’t work like that.
It’s call affirmative action
This was messed up. They didn’t realize that they messed up more than half of those students lives.
If only it was real "smh"
0:25 "GREEN BEAN! GREEN BEAN! GREEN BEAN!"
Edit: 1:06 Poor guy just got shoved randomly lol

pretty easy to have a 100% graduation rate with only 16 students lmao
Well, they all cheated. It was all a scam.
I always doubted how can something be Soo perfect. Well here we go now!!
It was all a lie. Poor kids
Don’t poor kids me. They knew what they were doing.
John Petrus they’re kids, it’s the parents and adults at the school in control. Not the kids
@@rynolemons8662 The "kids" are all 18 years old at least and as such are adults. They are responsible for themselves and if they choose to take part in a fraud, then they are guilty as well. But because they are black, yet again, they will come up with some kind of excuse. "We wuz scared, we wuz beaten, we wuz threatened, we wuz just doing what we wuz told (like Nazis)"
John Petrus Some of them really didn’t know. All they know is that they are getting good grades, and some of them have been fool to believe hard word pay off.
What happens to all the kids who got accepted whose applications were doctored?? Do they fail out? Get kicked out??
how did the 16 year old get in to harvard early
that's what I was thinking
john damiano skipping grades or going to preparatory school.

Imani Wow that's such a good system, they should definitely imply that to more colleges
I mean the fact that they are in an independent school, that already proves that they are pretty rich
Flying FajitaMan Ivy League gives full rides to anyone who’s family makes less than 60k. Also stop being a downer these kids will be fine

Cheating is amazing?
This is too pure man. 😂
This is too fake lmaooo
what the hell happens if they get rejected lmao, that's gotta hurt in front of all them people
something you guys need to recognize is black people don't have to be on an athletic scholarship to get into iv schools , or the fact that you think that their race got them in, those situations are possible but most black kids get into college on an average scholarship. the fact that people are seriously in denial that these kids worked hard to get to where they are, is undeniably disrespectful and rude
go read the New York Times article that just came out
Zakia .x - they had to cheat and lie. Their scan have been exposed by NYT.
Hmmmm. No one thought to stop and think this looked suspicious? Teachers who were not certified? no extracurriculars? One big warehouse with pre k-12th grade? students who teach themselves? and a total tuition bill if you did k-12 of well over 100,000.... if these are inner city school kids (as I was one) who is paying this 100,000 plus tuition bill? If everything is on the up and up then absolutely I am beyond excited for those young people in attaining entrance into the most elite colleges in the world however, it was revealed that the staff was encouraged to pad the transcripts of the students at TM Landry with classes they never took therefore, grades given by uncertified teachers that were never earned. As for the test scores? Those too are entered into their transcripts by the officials at the school so who knows what their test scores actually are. This is a house of cards and as time goes on, I for see a whole lot of people going to jail for this fraud. If i were working in this administration office I would start to reveal what I know so that I would not be implicated in this fraud fiasco so that i would not have to spend time in prison.
