My HONEST REVIEW of Takomo Skyforger Wedges (First time using them!)

  • Can Takomo compete with the biggest brands? At $89 per wedge, surely they can’t be as good as wedges costing $150-$170?
After using the Takomo 301CB Irons for over 6 months, I’ve been looking to get my hands on these wedges for a while!
This video is my live reaction as I use the wedges for the very first time.

Hey Sam, I just purchased all 4 of the Skyforger wedges. Haven't had a chance to hit them yet but.....they look fantastic. I'm sure that I'll have to get used to them but I'm optimistic. Great vid, looking forward to more.
    Thanks.

    Hi mate
I have purchased the takomo 101 iron set, 4 through to pw. I want to buy a skyforger wedge also but am unsure which one to get
Do you think the 52 or 56
I am an average player at best
    Any advice would help me
I can only afford one of the two wedges

I would go for the 52°… it’s more versatile!

That depends on your gapping doesn't it? Do you have a 60° and a 50° ? Then, take the 56. If you have no 50°, then take the 52°, although the gap to the PW is really steep. I have the 60° and 50° vokey sm9 and have now received the 56° Skyforger (replacing my old 54° vokey SM8). That'a good gapping for me. And I also have the 101 4i to PW. Love them.

Hey Sam I just saw your vid on Golf Sidekick. I'm flying out to Scotland from California next week and I will be based in Dundee playing St Andrews and possibly Carnoustie. Wondering if you'd be up for a round?

I do not like the weight on my Skyforger 52°. Wentback to my Vokey. They were fine from pitching.
