This is hands down the best wedge review I have seen. I spent a lot of time trying to find a good review on these wedges and glad I found your video. Thank you! The only thing I was missing was seeing the spin upon landing on fuller shots.
Thanks so much for the high praise! As for the spin when it’s landing, the numbers on the monitor show that better than any “on course” footage. Spin on the greens is contingent on so many factors that it’s not a controlled test: wind, strike, fairway length, green length, grain, firmness… Just too many variables to factor to compare or “test” landing spin on full shots it becomes a very imperfect science to test/compare/review
@@CMBoydon what wedge would you recommend I want to buy either the 52 or 56 but don’t know which Im an average golfer at best I can only afford one though I already ordered the 101 irons
@@chrisdelahunt7494 go with 56 since you can hit all shots around the green, bunker and full shots with it. A 52 would be used for full shots and maybe for some chips only.
I'm a Takomo ambassador for my Joe: Project 56 and I have the 52, 56, and 60 Skyforger wedges in my bag. Just used these on a Friday charity outing and four different greenside area shots helped my team save par or snag a birdie. Love my 101 irons as well. I love amazing value and Takomo knocks that out of the park, and I wouldn't play 'em if I didn't like 'em.
Hi mate I have purchased the takomo 101 iron set, 4 through to pw. I want to buy a skyforger wedge also but am unsure which one to get Do you think the 52 or 56 I am an average player at best Any advice would help me out please
I’ve had the 101s now for a couple months and I love them. I work at a course/range in Clermont Florida and I’ve let the club pro and a couple of the amateur guys try them out and they were all very impressed. The 56° skyforger is coming in the mail in a couple days. Can’t wait to try it and show it off 👍🏼
@chrisdelahunt7494 I carry 52 and 56. Most players carry 56, so grab one. I don't think they have a 50, but a 48. If you really are unsure of your distances, pay the $100 at a fitting shop for a wedge gap fitting, to get your clubs to match your yardages. This way you're not leaving yardage gap, nor burning money on clubs you don't utilize well. It will give you confidence in your game too. Good luck!
Great Review and much needed. If you spend a lot of time on wedge work, you can blow through grooves quickly. So having an affordable comparable option is nice.
Would say AJ’s opinion is gold. Great thorough review. No interest in changing from what’s been a great fit for me but really, really trust AJ. Cheers man, great content as always. 🥃
They didn’t stay in the bag long, unfortunately the leading edge is too hard for me to overlook. The performance is great and for the price, I can’t recommend them enough.

Nope never heard of em. Where u paid to give this analysis? or gifted those clubs by Takomo? I noticed after all this you never plugged the website they have.
@@andrewjensengolf Just thought I would ask.. not all reviews are gifted, but its just good to share that for transparency. At 1st I didnt think they did gift them b/c you didnt drop their website... but figured Id ask anyways. Thanks
Based on my use of the irons since May, I would expect the wear on the wedges to be good & durable. They didn’t earn a spot in my bag, so I don’t have any evidence beyond that guess
Hey mate im from australia and was wondering would you recommend the whole set because im looking to upgrade my clubs. I also want to ask if you would recommend these clubs to progess my game im trying to take it seriously and looking to get clubs that i can rely on. I currently have 15 year old clubs . I have the 101 irons and they’re incredible.
How do you become an ambassador for Takomo?

@@chrisdelahunt7494Pros never swing wedges full swing. They're for control, not distance. Just another thought to help you choose correctly.

Nice little side by side comparison. Nice video man 🤙
I love them!! I have all the wedges and they work awesome!! The ball sticks the green really well and I am extremely accurate with them!!
Thanks for sharing!!
Best wedges i have played! Had problem with the leading edge but it does help you on the short shots
Love to hear that. I fully expect version 2 of the wedge to refine the leading edge
Was in desperate need of wedges, thanks for the review!
Can’t beat the price!
Finally got the first thumbs up. Always enjoy AJ’s take on the game.
Thanks Allen, love seeing the notification squad show up 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Really solid and complete review. I love my Cleveland CBX-2 wedges, but might have to try these.
Worth the trial when the grooves on your gamers are getting low
Going to be very comparable to your cbx-2. The rounded blade is similar in both. With some good forgiveness.
Really solid review Andrew! These takomas clubs are getting good reviews in all their clubs. They will be big time soon.
Can’t wait to test the irons… the look 💯

They still in the bag? About to get a new wedge set and seems pretty hard to pass these up.

Not bad on these off branded wedges. I'll need at least an inch added in length.
I think you can do that on their site
Very cool. Thank you

Probably the 56°. It would give you more versatility around the greens with chips and pitches, high and low

Have you tried these Takomo wedges?
Nope never heard of em. Where u paid to give this analysis? or gifted those clubs by Takomo? I noticed after all this you never plugged the website they have.
@@Cryptonomics7 Takomo gifted me the clubs to review, as is the case with most all reviews, across all spaces, on RUclips

what does loft mean and which is the best loft for mid handicappers
Radius grind next
Wondering how they wear ?
Based on my use of the irons since May, I would expect the wear on the wedges to be good & durable. They didn’t earn a spot in my bag, so I don’t have any evidence beyond that guess
Unfortunately they don't offer a 50 54 and 58 set.
Thankfully forged heads can be bent to desired lofts very easily and in wedges it actually can help with better flighting
Im making a $45 wedge set cuz why not
😎🔥

100% yes. I’ve started testing the irons, and that review will be out soon… but they are so damn good
