Really great video tutorial! I am just beginning to learn Japanese and want to start off with the best pronunciation I can so that I am not practicing the wrong sounds and building poor habits early on. This happened to me with some sounds while I was learning German that I wasn't aware I was making until my third year during a phonetics course. Thank you for your work, I really appreciate what you have done here!
@@vconsumer I didn't mean to say that in Spanish such sound exists. What I mean is that when producing the standard Spanish /u/ sound, which is rounded, instead of rounding your lips, just do not do it and that will give you the Japanese /u/ sound. That's why I said "it seems like an unrounded Spanish /u/.
After watching quite a few videos I think yours is the most complete and clearest one :) thank you! Keep up with the good work!

Fantastic. The only one of many that does things properly with explanations of how to make it with your tongue and mouth!!!

Nghe gần giống chữ "ư" hơi lai "u" trong tiếng Việt, giống kiểu phát âm chữ "ư" nhẹ hơn thì phải, có ai người Việt giải đáp giúp em với ạ 🥲

I want to know what your lips are doing. Cause I can see them move in a specific way
