Well Said
I love ❤️ his song's
😅😂🤣🤙✌️
The only voice I could listen to every single day. Peter Gabriel is a musical genius.
here's to the man who never put out a bad song.
Nobody has faced their demons quite as fearlessly as Peter Gabriel. What an artistic legacy this man is leaving.
Good comment!
So incredibly hip! No one can pull this off but PG. One in a billion. I actually spent an afternoon with Peter Gabriel in L.A. once and also met him at a NAMM show where we walked the floor for a while just talking about music and new instruments and stuff. He is a very soft-spoken, reserved and polite gentleman, and one of the best song writers and performers of the 20th century, IMO.
The man will always be so damn cool ...Legend / Maverick / Icon - Light years ahead of anyone ...
He Make me listening him. All memories.Thank you Peter
Would love to hear about that X next lifeline maybe.
love from Italy forever
The most soulful voice I've heard. This voice has been with me for about 40 years.
Hear that Voice again ?
Synthés Voices
My grandpa was murdered in 2002. This song resonates with me. Haunting and somehow helps me to heal after all these years. Peter has been my favorite musician since I was a teenager. 🙏🏻❤️
Yes, you are right "TheGalera72"."No way out" is a good song. Peter Gabriel is the most complete, creative and inspired musical artist. That's why we're looking forward to his new album.
Habe Genesis live erlebt 1974 in Donaueschingen und liebe die Musik bis heute - mercy für euer tun mercy Peter Gabriel 😊✋💫 -
I was 6 years old, I never understood how you could do all those beautiful magic sounds and harmonies and I was fascinated by that. Why harmonies and sounds can make you laugh or cry, feel good or bad... You, dear Peter, are the reason why I choose to make music. To understand all the magic behind. 40 years later, you are still so inspiring. Nowadays our little planet needs people like you... really. You’ve done so much already.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all this magic and stay safe.
I took my daughter to see Secret World Live when she was 6, she is still a huge fan. We have our tickets for i/o secured, 30th anniversary of her first PG, thankfully she can now get the beers in.
Great statement - Peter and the genesis boys were certainly one of my prime influences in diving into the real world of music as a drummer and Vocalist
He's a grammy awards winner all the time...
I love you Peter Gabriel ❤
Two musicians I could give another 60 years of life to..... Donald Feagan and Peter Gabriel. Their musical knowledge and love for life could educate a million more people....
That Voice, no one else sounds like him, so so distinctive.... love him.....
JOHN CARMICHAEL look up Harry Styles doing I think it's sledgehammer,he's did a first class job and sounds just like Peter in the song,it really is amazingly good,I think you'd really like it
Well, that used to be the norm, back in the days when musicians were still real musicians, not just a bunch of copy cats who try to sound like the stars on the radio.
Those old guys ALL have their distinctive voices, those old bands all had their distinctive sound. You heard the first note and knew instantly who it was. Unlike today where everyone's just copying the same crap over and over.
@@angusseletto1511 Mr Styles did do a great version - he recorded his last album in Gabriel's studio - Though while it was really good, and he's a decent fella, it'll take a couple more decades to get the timbre in Gabriel's voice - I'm sure Styles will be about in a couple decades to do so though, he's a very capable artist, ^oo^
Yup! a voice like no other.
Ive always thought Dave Matthews occasionally sounds a bit like Peter
Don't you just wish you was in there watching, perfection personified.
He's Doing this Right now with A Lot of the same people. Hurry up PETER. I need The New Album and Tour now🤙
è sempre un piacere riascoltarlo .èun grande
Brilliant, first time I saw Peter was 1980 in Liverpool , looking forward to seeing him in Toronto 23 ♥️
Gabriels sound is like a drug and his voice is unique. Epic!!!!!
michael wallden Well put!
@@mariekazazian8019 one favo
Real..
Sound of is voice is addictif
I'm Infected ❤💉True Words 😀👍
I love his voice , music and all about him
I've said it before and I'll say it again... to me, the 'trilogy' of So, Us, and Up is one of the greatest works of modern art... period. I never get tired of listening to those three albums, and I doubt I ever will. Peter Gabriel is truly an inspiration for me.
...agreed. But I think we'd be remiss, if we overlooked the "Security" album. For me, that was the game changer. Absolutely nothing in the rock genre was represented, YET?.... Everything on it rocked!....nothing was conventional or traditional....but your ears just KNEW it was ROCK magic!!
Then again, PG3 is his best work.
He has all the samevmembers of his band for years and years. And they’re always smiling and happy that tells you a lot about Peter Gabriel and he’s a hell of a man he’s loyal, kind, sweet, and definitely a gem of a musician. What an amazing person.
Lowest point of my life, buried my dad, then my mother. Crawling out, I saw Peter Gabriel live in Atlanta in the early 90's. It helped a lot, and was one of the best live performances I've ever witnessed.
I was there. Besides Pink Floyd, definitely the best show I’ve ever seen.
Very happy to learn new music is coming, really really enjoy listening to PG🙌
Lets not forget the fantastic band that have been with him for years
You’re so right everyone of them is a powerhouse…
Jesus christ, he is so good looking and awesome... thank you!!!!
He's so unique musically and lyrically with calm voice....
Definitely a song for his beautiful wife.. she was sick with cancer for awhile. He stayed by her side and drs cured an incurable cancer. He’s amazing songwriter.
Everything in the right place .
Master musician. His work has severed as a road map in my life. He is a wayshower because he holds the light for those of us trying to make sense of this world.
I lost my sister last year, she took her own life, as Peter sang the words "don't leave us like this" I wept so hard. Love you Peter and thank you for this amazing beautiful song, stay well stay strong everyone.
jimmythx1 May she finds peace in God’s presence
I'm so very sorry for your loss.
I am sorry for the loss Jimmy.
@@thejma724 Bless you.
@@juliehall3731 Thank you, bless you.
I almost want to hate today's kids for not having Peter Gabriel in their lives. I just hope some will still find and take comfort in his ...his life. Such a beautiful everything. Oh such a beauty. He's my Obi_wan to my darkness. God Bless this man.
fantastic...
This song gives me goosebumps and makes me cry every time... so intense... *peace*
Hi Peter, promise that you will not stop creating music. We miss you live! Lpr. Tim x
we miss your creativity!
I would give quite allot to see him live. I grew up listening to him glad your still making music.
Well, it's been 18 years since we got to hear any new music. Here's hoping for a new studio album soon!
I need your Music! Come on! Make me dream again!
Very bittersweet. I hope you are healthy Peter Gabriel. Thank you for the music. Rest in Peace to all those who passed from the covid19. ✌🏽💔🙏🏾🙏🏿🙏🏽🙏🏻🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
God gave this man, Peter Gabriel, the gift of music, to really, musically, express the reality of our times, of what we feel. At times, we may feel down, tempted to go to a dark path. But listening to Gabriel's music, you regain hope again, and to once again move forward. Like another long from the So Album, with Kate Bush, that gives hope: DON'T GIVE UP
Peter Gabriel's musical prowess is undeniable.
I just wish he could write interesting songs again.
Peter, nobody has a more soulful voice than you. Period
Thank you, Peter and the group. I gratefully remember your concert in Vilnius in 2014.
Masterful.
Saw Peter at Maple Leaf Gardens back in the 80s. How does he sound better now? Remarkable genius this gent!
I love you so much Peter 💙 since i Was 10 years old, i am 22 now, and sometimes i feel lonely because there is almost 0 people of my age in mexico that listen your music, i wish more young people fell in love with you💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Poignant - powerful - what a team of musicians!!
Mara Katria amen!! It’s humans at their best
I remember being 17 . I was getting ready to go out , when I heard "Don't give up " I just sat down hearing this message of love , I was in awe . What a beautiful person to give it up like that . Music !!!!!! I love this gift that keeps me going !
PETER YOU ARE THE MOST GREAT IN THE WORLD!!! THANKS FROM ITALY!! A BIG BIG HUG!
Bravo Fede! Un saluto da Modena.
bad english .........the greatest
It is such a beautiful song done by the master himself. Thanks Peter Gabriel. Great band Tony Levin - a bunch of familiar faces.
Just simply amazing.
Just hits the heart! Thank you for this wundervolle Musik
Peter you are genius!!! We want a new album!!! 😭
....how can music ever be better than this? pure inspiration.
Peter,
Thank you for decades of medicine for my soul. My health is fading, but my love for my family, Nature, God and your music has never been stronger. I saw you in Los Angeles , I think in the '80s or '90s. You sang 'lay your hands on me' while the floor supported you, while you trusted.
Godbless you my friend, all of you.
It takes 20-50 to create the art of a soloist.
All the best. I'm not quitting on you, just realizing, 'there's no way out'.
Trev
All the best to you ♥
Prayers for your well being
HOLF THE LINE Trevor, Hold Ther Line!!!
Big hug from New Zealand 💜🌻
The amount of great songs Tony Levin has played in through the years is amazing, so many different artists and musical styles.
The bass superhero!
Tony as well as his firmer mate, Adrian Belew.
Talented people, doing what they love, sharing it with the world. I love the song and, actually, I like this version a tad bit more than the original album version. Peter Gabriel and his collaborators -- number 1 each and every time. Plus the richness of the mix is mind boggling. It's amazing how a different set of monitors/speakers can pull out elements you haven't heard before. Just plain awesome.
Peter, from those of us that have been students at the Gabriel Academy of Music for over four decades, we wish to thank you for being the best Headmaster ever and for always having the time to sit in with band and teach... To you and all those at your studio, thanks and joy be unto you all...
These are fantastic versions. Raw and pure. Should be released in HD quality.
lots of folks in the comments seem to think this is a new recording. It's from 2002. read the description, people! haha
Tu metti la pace nel cuore Peter. Grazie di cuore
I remember buying “Up” years ago (20)…and PGs tour in Houston. Having seen him in 1986 first row…it was just as thrilling. Not sure that I “got” all of the new songs. I can’t stop listening to “I Grieve” and this song. Absolutely amazing!
ピーターさん、あなたの声は特別です。昔から変わらず本当にすばらしい。ありがとう。from JAPAN🇯🇵
Peter & Band thank you very much !!! Background vocal uuuuuù.....very beatiful
It doesn't matter what he sings, names from a telephone book, crap melody, whatever.... He always infuses soul and emotional meaning into everything he sings. That's a one in a million talent!
A genius at work. Thank you for the joy you bring to the world Peter we really need it right now.
I have been singing professionally for just over forty years and if I could choose just one person of each gender to sing a duet with, on the female side it would be Sarah Brightman and on the male side, Peter Gabriel. Thank you, Peter, for years of incredible music. "In Your Eyes" is my wife and my song and tonight, while we are quarantined, we cranked up the DVD of you in concert and danced together to it in our living room.
I absolutely love this song, what a beautiful song by this legend
Only two words : -"Thank you".
I saw Peter for the 1st time for the Security Tour, 1984 Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto Canada. I had a front row seat and got right in front of him for the whole show. He came right up to me halfway through and crouched down with arms outstretched towards me and stared right into my eyes for what seemed like...forever. I was transfixed... Almost...scared. A memory I will never forget. I've seen him many times since and hope to see him many times more. Suffice to say I'm a life-long fan and will always be one. A true original.
Thank you, Peter!
You are still my favorite artist of all time.
Jack Coleman me too
Ditto
I had a dream that Peter joined Genesis for Carpet Crawlers on the last night of their tour and announced they'd be going on another tour with Steve Hackett. Then I woke up and made a cup of coffee.
Peter Gabriel est pour moi, le meilleur artiste au monde. Il est également entouré de très très bons musiciens. Bravo et merci à eux pour le bonheur qu'ils apportent.
SO great to Tony and David still with him. And he looks and sounds great! Love this
Absolutely wonderful piece. I can't believe I had never heard this before! 💝
Up is an underrated masterpiece.
Magnifique mélodie comme d'habitude 😃Les musiciens au top..👍
Stuning again , thanks pg
Sounds like classic Peter Gabriel.. brings back great memories of a master music, arranger and singer. Its a majestic vibe.
So damn awesome.... Very emotional.
What a voice!
Oh my, Peter Gabriel giving his best rendition of how to interrupt how we REALLY might feel in words & music. Yes, I do shed a tear and want others to dance in the realization that there is so much more to everyone's perspective. I can only image how our son's (to someone private, not Peter Gabriel) perspectives have molded them, they needed you (Dad) and need you to be strong & purposeful; I am heartbroken, I just need you to be well & present. We all love you. Sorry, needed to try to reach someone in time and space. By the way, you were great when you were present, I loved the fact, you knew the names of trees & birds; you a lovable & valuable. Please wake up wherever you are.
A living breathing genius!!!!
Beautiful tone. Gorgeous song. . love you P G. X
This has very deep meaning for me. I don't know how you do it, but I'm glad you did. One I'm still to finish exploring, kinda afraid to. I'm definitely onto something. I'm so tired. I'm ready to go 🏡❤.
This song is utterly heartbreaking...and it leads DIRECTLY into "I Grieve". SO haunting.
yes
"UP", is a masterpiece !
Yeah. Still gets me, even after all these years.
Peter Gabriel is just a fantastic singer and lyricist. He is one of my all time favorites. Wonderful song.
It might seem strange to say, Mr. Gabriel, but I trust you with my heart. This is heart-wrenchingly beautiful and goes to the core of my being. Up was 40 years after Melting Face, and your music is still some of the very best this world has to offer. Thank you for sharing this with the world.
are you referring to Melt? Up was only around 20 years after that one lol
Sublime ❤❤❤❤❤
The Life affirming sound that is Peter Gabriel .
Perfect just perfect❤❤❤
🙏 Please, never stop making music. Please, never leave me alone! 💞 All the best wishes from Germany! You are unreachable! ❣️
I've never listended this song. Perfect !
Such a great version of this song! One of my most favorite artists of all time. Your Voice always gives me goosebumps. Love you Peter!!
Man, I missed Peter Gabriel and this marvellous group of musicians. Just brilliant!
If i had to choose one artist to listen to for the rest of my life and could only choose one, it would be Peter Gabriel hands down. Cannot think of a single song I don't love! Was fortunate to see one of the first Blue Ball shows in London. Bath is also the coolest city in the world
After PG's voice, Tony Levin's bass is the stand out ... an amazing musican.
DAMN!!! Leave it to Peter Gabriel to have done the best song I've heard yet. ❤🔥
I cant believe this was nearly 20 years ago. It seems so recent. And it's timeless. Thanks for sharing this unique look.
Another Masterpiece by the Unicorn 🦄 of the Music Industry!!!
UN BELIEVABLE WOW!!!!!!!!!!
Wonderful! ❤Thanks! From Brazil
Wow Hello Peter!!! Amazing Song!!!! Thank you so much for this!!! You are the best!! Stay safe and healthy dear! Many hugs from Sardinia, I love you!!! Cheers 🙋🌄🌈😉
