I saw PG many times when he used to fall into the audience. Fortunately he was always carried along gracefully. he was younger then! The latest album is as superb as ever. I feel like we have grown together.
Why wouldn't the audience catch him anymore once he was getting older? That's messed up. Is it a reflection of changing times into stupidity and selfishness or was it an unwritten rule or instructed by security guards not to do anymore but that he wasn't aware of?
Had the privilege of catching him during one of those stage dives at the Hammy Odeon. Lay Your Hands on Me. Trust me when I say this people it was amazing, and PG has a nice arse!
He just needs a few plants in the audience to make some noise 😅. This guy changed the world in many ways and reveals how he continues to do so but they're sitting there like King Charles. 🥱
Excellent interview. And, I agree about communicating with animals; which, were my 1st love and then music. We have to listen to animals before we can communicate with them.
Fascinating. Really fascinating. This man's music filled my teen tears with dreams and feelings. 1. I seem to recall hearing him play "Biko" to open his set at Reading Festival in 1979. I may be wrong. I hadn't heard it at the time. 2. I went as a youngster with my much older sister and a suitor to see PG at Hammersmith Odeon in the mid/late 70s. I think I was the innocent third wheel brought along to fend the suitor off ... Anyway.... Aged about 14, I was sitting apart from them and during an instrumental PG disappeared from the stage.... Then suddenly there he was on my row in the circle.... about 4 seats to my right. It blew my mind. Funny to hear that device mentioned here.... Anyway. A wonderful writer and singer of songs. Just wonderful.
I love you Peter, thank you for a lifetime of great work, and memories. And the solution to climate change is ........time. It will change back, as it always has. In it's own time.
I'm a big PG fan. But if he thinks " no wall " is a good idea, tell him to go live near the border in Texas in the States. I guarantee he would have a wall, as well as security around his house. Walls have good and bad purposes.
lol, funny how these 'amazing' ideas never ocurred to the people who champion them, 10 or 20 years ago. It's almost like they are taking their queue from these buffoon characters on what to think and how to see the world.....

Saw him stage dive too, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that.

The Last Temptation of Christ soundtrack is simply one example of the utter brilliance of this wonderful man.
The man is back! The new album is superb as ever!
I'd say he did get some of his dad's brain for electrical engineering. Peter Gabriel productions are world class brilliant!
Indeed.
Brilliant interview, Pete has always been so perceptive and hearing this in interview form is really great
One of our greats. I remember getting solo first albums in my early teens. Wonderful.
excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse meeeeeeeeeeee
Very gracious of Peter to interview himself for this show.
Thx for uploading this testimony of one of the important artist, activist and musicians of over 55 years - cheers! Hope to see him soon again 🙂
Peter mentions Echo and the Bunnymen! Two worlds colliding wonderfully for me.
He did ?
What a great Interviewer Bill Bailey is! He can completely stand back and give PG time to talk.
Thanks for Sharing this! 👍🎶🖖

Christ, I'd love to hear a collaboration between him and Steve Hackett before the end.
Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway is my favorite Progressive Rock album of all time.

Sure, but the question is whether human life will still be around to enjoy it. The earth will keep spinning long after we're gone.
No, it won’t
Six of the Best!
A Brit interviewing a Brit rockstar! Fantastic. And rare. 👍
Love him... For ever... Ever... Also, Ich Lieber dich Peter... Ausgezeichnet... xx

Heyupp PG
The ape bashing the keys sounds better than most rap
When is this from
I’m curious too. Looks to be sometime around the back to front tour, so maybe first half of the 2010s?
If I remember I think 2014
They mention it being a year since Kofi Annan died, which was 2018, so I’m going for 2019.
So you think we should annex Mexico and Canada instead?
Us us us & them them them, but after all, we're just ordinary men...............
Pavlov yes…but there is a limit to brain power isn’t there?
I was a big fan, & then the silly dancing started.
His interest in communication is out of this world, multidimensional skills
