    Important Note: All bolts are loosely tightened, and are fully tightened once on the track and the saw head has moved back and forth and the track is straightened and everything is all aligned.
    We are so excited to have the sawmill set up, and can't wait to saw some lumber. We purchased the Woodland Mills HM126-14 at the end of July 2021 and received it at the end of October. In this video we are going to bring the saw mill crate from one side of the homestead to the other at its final spot at the saw mill barn with out Massey Ferguson 1835E compact tractor. From there, we open the crate and start assembling our Woodland Mills portable saw mill.

      @@DuckRiverHomestead not yet, local shipping was a dog and pony show, didn't get it in till about 0300 mst. Threw it together in the driveway, wife would be pissed haha! Will update buddy, really setup was a breeze thanks to your vid, I just assembled the head on set rails feet first, daughter loved running dads .5 impact setting them nylocks. Have a good evening man, thanks again.

      This is why I posted the video. I'm glad it was helpful. One thing that would have made it easier is having a table to hold all of the bolts, and an organizational tray to separate them. I think it would be nice of WM to send something like that. I'd be willing to spend $50 more on organized bolts with sizes clearly marked.

      @@DuckRiverHomestead I am fortunate enough to remember the mm to inch conversions, but I agree, even a few stickers on the bags, at least they kept the track fasteners and the head unit fasteners separated haha, only had a washer, two nylocks and a 30mm left over, no holes though! Just milled an aspen that fell down a few weeks ago, machine works great.

    I'm gonna need a laser level, that's a smart idea

    • @DuckRiverHomestead
      @DuckRiverHomestead  2 года назад

      It made it so easier. I have moved the track over a couple feet and re-leveling it was a breeze. I have another 6' extension I'll be adding soon and anchoring to the slab with rebar, and the laser level should make all the difference in the world.
      Thanks for watching!

      Thanks you!
      I love my HM126. I have 2, maybe 3 logs in my huge delivery that are over 26". I'll have to cut them down first before putting them on my mill. Sure the HM130 max would be nice, but I don't really miss any functionality other than the electric start. I might add one myself before I start doing my mass production of lumber. I also plan on adding a lift motor instead of the crank.
      I hope you enjoy yours!
