Hey Ben, just as an FYI, you can have Twitch automatically export your VODs to RUclips. It's much faster and you never have to download the video and then re-upload it. Also, I love the vids and appreciate the additional commentary you provide while playing.
about the money talk, i have always been more inclined to support people who are just upfront with what theyre doing and why. like people who sit there like "tell me YOUR favourite build in the comments i love to read them" or even the ppl that do something purposefull inflammatory to get people to correct them or comment rebuttals piss me off because it's clear engagement farming. if they say "hey leaving a comment boosts engagement so youtube shares my content more widely, please leave a comment it helps me out" i will do it. i know WHY in both cases but underhanded engagement farming pisses me off its so disingenuous. people need to just be upfront, its disrespectful to peoples intelligence to farm things or hide information. And so being upfront about what gets u more money is great because then people can make informed decisions about how to support u instead of u manipulating them into whats best, treat audiences with respect and theyre so much more likely to actually WANT to help and its a healthier atmosphere. streamers who hide their revenue or engagement bait make people feel distrusting and yeah maybe it works on a bunch of people but at the cost of ur character and while insulting swaths of people? idk just doesnt seem cool to me. why does earning money have to be a taboo secret? we all do it? so just be honest. its not some Inside Secret that u have to protect like stop acting so high and mighty it does nothing but make u a dishonest person lmao more people should be like u and be upfront and real, its refreshing
It's actually better for computers to run through the night. If it goes cold there's more chance that a contact starts to exhibit metal fatigue and crack (due to expanding and contracting). This is true for desktops and servers, not sure about laptops.
Not tryna drag politics into your excellent cookery but it's really interesting to hear how foreign society works from a ground level perspective. Most Americans(77%} only pay 15% or less in taxes and would absolutely lose their minds paying 50%. Don't read further unless you are ready for controversial opinions Some more interesting stats on the broken American system. I'm in the 24% tax bracket, I pay just over $800 a week in taxes. I pay more in taxes than 52% of Americans even earn in a year. The top 10% of earners provide 70% of the total tax collected. So if you think the sole problem is that the rupper % aren't being taxed, you're wrong. The problem is reckless government spending, unchecked corruption, ineffective laws, and weak leadership.
I don't think that's a controversial opinion at all; what people disagree on is what constitutes "reckless government spending". The money goes to a lot of places, and everyone has a different idea of which of those things are "wasteful". And while it's fair to say that upper earners not being taxed enough is not the "sole" problem, it's still a big friggin problem. Entities with massive wealth leverage that wealth to influence the tax code, so they can in turn accumulate more wealth. And then use that wealth to wield even more power. And so on. And then the wealthy class has the gall to play the victim and try to paint the majority of society as a bunch of moochers. It's disgusting.
The whole system of higher taxes for higher pay is ridiculous. By making more money you already pay more with the same percent than someone that makes less does. 55% is just legal state robbery, no matter how much you make.
Higher Taxes for higher pay works differently than many people think. Let‘s say: 40 % Taxes for everything until 50k $ annually 45 % until 100k $ 50 % until 1mio $ And 55 % for everything more than that means, that, if you earn 1.5mio $ annually you pay 40 % Taxes on 50k $ of that, 45 % for the 50k to 100k $, 50 % on the 900k $ to the million and 55 % on the last 500k $. So you don‘t pay 55 % on the whole 1.5 mio $ like many believe but on everything you earn over the first 1mio $ you make annually. It‘s a very decent system, since earnings somewhat like to snowball, the more you tend to make. It‘s easier to earn more, if you already got more.
I know there was a lot more of me yapping in this video, let me know if you prefer just pure gameplay or casual talks like these!
