I see Thrice and I clicked immediately. They are such a unique and diverse band! They play punk, rock, jazz, folk, and synthetic styles of music and talk about a wide range of topics in their lyrics. They are truly transcendent! Dustin Kensrue is the lead singer and song writer. He was a pastor in Orange county so he incorporates alot of Christian themes but says the band isn't a Christian band. He has such a beautifully haunting voice.

It's not that we need something that we don't have, but that we're reliant on something that comes from someone else, and that we can't produce on our own. We can't be self-sufficient, because "everything's grace." It's just a question of interpreting beggar strictly versus poetically.
I'd suggest listening to more than this one song before you make your mind up about them. I'm sure even your own favorite band has a few songs you don't particularly care for. Hopefully, you give them another listen and remain open-minded. What's better; loving one more thing or hating one more thing?
