You got to do the Oakland live Free Bird… July 2, 1977 on the green in the stadium. The band was in a plane crash about 3 months later and we lost some of them RIP…
Great reaction - Wait till they talk you into reacting to the live version. 🙂Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd which is actually a name of one of their albums.
I grew up with Lynyrd Skynyrd!! Believe me when I say this .. Born in 1958, I had the privilege of growing, living, & experiencing the best eras of music 👉 60’s, 70’s, & early 80’s ☮️ 💟 🌻🌾✌️💯‼️ You gotta check out the live version in 1977 Oakland Coliseum!! 🎸🎸🎸
@@theneverenderreacts Yes .. had to be talented to make it in the music industry. And the only way to sell an album was to go on tour!! May I recommend Peter Frampton DO YOU FEEL LIKE WE DO live version! Btw, enjoyed your reaction. 🤘
Check out the live 1977 version, then watch pink floyd comfortably numb from the pulse concert. Enjoying seeing you discover what I grew up on. So cool
The 70s was the golden age of music. You have never said anything more true. A couple of my favs are Poison Whiskey, Swamp Music, and Ballad of Curtis Loew. ANYTHING by them is fantastic and the essence of southern rock.
I'll always say this "I been born too late" lol. Mannn the music you grew up on......the music I grew up on can't hold a candle too yours lol...I will make sure to take those songs suggestions
The pleasure I get when I see someone reacting to Lynyrd Skynyrd ( len-nerd skin-nerd) for the first time. Glad you enjoyed it, and you nailed it, the 70s and 80s were the best decades of music in my lifetime. Enjoy your journey with this band. Thanks.
Name is pronounced Leonard Skinner. He was a no-nonsense, flat-topped basketball coach whose name will forever be linked to the iconic rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd. Funny part about Skinner? He didn’t even like rock ‘n’ roll. In fact, he often sent students to the principal’s office because their hair was too long. One of those long haired kids was guitarist Gary Rossington. Him and the other founding members named their band Lynyrd Skynyrd in a sort-of tongue-in-cheek inspiration to the old gym teacher.
The pianist was a classical trained pianist. He was a roadie for the band and was playing the piano on a break .Ronnie heard him and signed him up there and then !
The phonic pronunciation of the band's name is printed right on the album cover under the band's name. It's Len Nerd Skin Nerd, named after their old PE Teacher in high school.
Their live album was one of the first five I got, ca 1982 when I was 13. I highly recommend checking out videos about the studio(s) at Muscle Shoals, Alabama. A ton of the greatest music ever made came from this small town on a muddy river.
okay Mr. NeverEnder! I have a request and I'd love to hear what you think. It's by one of my favorite bands, and they are called Lake Street Dive. They do a great version of "Rich Girl", which was originally done by Hall & Oates. I'd go to Lake Street Dive - Rich Girl (Live @Pickathon 2013) for a really great version. Thanks Mr. Never....
