Definitely. Smart of her to ask for an attorney, but I think we know the real reason she decided to plea instead of go through a trial.
It’s arguably better evidence, too, since it speaks to her state of mind at the time of the crimes vs. after arrest and where she could say her words were being twisted. It’s completely unhinged, but I know people who speak very similarly (but luckily didn’t go to this extreme!).
I think she was so cult minded that she truly didn’t think she was breaking the law sick sick person who does journals I think if I try to get like two days and that’s it I couldn’t even journal my food. It takes too much time.
The dad is 100% complicit and needs to be in jail.

The fact that she was even already on the phone with her attorney and reacted that way…she knew he escaped… guilty
Yes she knew. She’d been out in her car looking for him. A cop pulled her over and she said she was looking for her friend’s son. The cop (who knew about RF and that he was otw to a hospital) told Jodi to go home and the police would find him. That’s why she went home and called her attorney! She knew she and Ruby were in trouble. When the police got to her house and she got dragged out despite being on the phone with her lawyer and refusing to let the cops in, that was the only satisfactory outcome thus far. I hope they checked her phone and tablet both of which she was holding when she answered her giant door.

Not all of his interactions are in this evidence dump. I’m quite sure that the DA was not going to release things that were not directly relevant to the evidence against Ruby and Jodi. And CPS had custody, not the police. The conversations with CPS will never be released.

Men have been abandoning their children for as long as human history has been recorded. It isn't nothing new.

Pretty sure he knew what was going on. Also it's odd that he had a verbal agreement with Ruby that he couldn't see the kids or that he didn't have any contact with them for over a year

That neighbour and his wife have completely restored my optimism for humanity. So unbelievably kind and human. They recognized the reality of the situation immediately and did all the right things. I have also never seen such compassion from police and emergency response personnel. They did everything right. Makes me proud to pay taxes for such quality service people. Thank you to those men and women.

@@m1ntyuuNot true!! She was sentenced to four 1-15 yr convictions. So 4-60 yrs total. But in Utah, its up to the parole board to decide her amount of time. She'll get credit for the time she's spent in jail, plus credit for any programs she joins in prison, all of which could cut her time in half. They may deem her fit after four yrs, but if she plays her cards right that could get cut in half, especially since prisons are notorious for being lenient on women. She may only serve 2 yrs. I hope the Utah prison board takes the severity of the case into account and won't let that happen though. But only time will tell.
Has anyone considered that the Ruby called her husband to come get the kids to intervene as quickly as possible to stop the kids from talking/incriminating them?
Yeah when his eldest daughter came to get some stuff from the house for her siblings he called the cops and wanted her arrested for stealing. Some of the things she collected were the kids devices and they probably possibly had evidence on them he was worried about them having it.

Of course she did! And I think Roy and Pam kept the older girl in the house so she could make calls to Ruby and Jodi so they could do what they needed to do before the police arrived. That is why Jodi had already lawyered up and wasn’t surprised when she saw the police. And Ruby had called Kevin to tell him to go pick up R and E. I believe that Jodi removed E from the safe room into the closet so the police wouldn’t find her in the safe room. Jodi and Ruby actually thought they were going to be in control of the situation and get away with it.
Kevin showing more concern for Ruby during his interview is so telling. He doesn't ask many questions about his kids but says he trusts Ruby to care for the kids after being told his children were essentially dying. He said he wished he was a better husband and does not say he wished he was a better father after not seeing his kids for all that time. He also seems way too preoccupied with his own emotions instead of asking about his kids..... I know this man is also a victim of Jodi's "counseling" but he should not be allowed to have those kids back.
The little girl broke my heart. Looking at the pizza knowing that she is not allowed to eat. So much evil in this world.

The elderly gentleman didn't realize the situation at first, he went from what do you want, to being in tears when he realized what was going on with the boy, he's a hero in my book helping the boy until the police could step in and help❤

In our neighborhood, we get almost non-stop door-to-door sales people, kids selling things, collecting empty cans/bottles, looking for donations, selling subscriptions... Every time someone knocks on the door, my defenses go up immediately. At least he was able to recognize it wasn't a typical encounter.

What Ruby considers “evil” in children is just regular smegular child behavior in the average child in adolescence. If she looked in the mirror she would know what true evil is.

As a mother, I’m appalled and utterly disgusted by this person. How was this allowed to go on this long? How many other psychopaths are on social media giving the appearance of normalcy but actually abusing children? Life is not long enough for Ruby Franke. Her husband is complicit and should be jailed as well.

Yes he is! The fact that he tried to escape once before and was severely punished it’s amazing he tried again. Thankfully he did! He was very direct and honest with Ruby (according to what she wrote in her journal). Despite the continued severe consequences RF continued to tell Ruby from time to time what he thought. Like when he said he’d rather have water than her as a mother. Although he was literally dying of thirst I’m sure he truly knew Ruby was the evil one. I hope nobody ever EVER pushes those kids to reconcile with Ruby!

I'm glad they let it be Eve's decision to go with them. They were patient and kind, something she had never experienced.
I think it took her that long because the first cop told her "Jodi is with us, why don't you come with us?" 🤦 She may have thought that they were all on Jodi's side and we're going to punish her. Only AFTER the female firefighter came and told her, "we got your brother help too" only after she heard THAT she got up and walked out, knowing that they were there to help her. The first cop did NOT know what to say and wasn't the best communicator with traumatized children. He is not a psychologist, obviously.

After seeing these videos and finding out what Ruby wrote in her journal, these two women should have been charged with attempted murder. The fact that Ruby pushed her own sons head under water and held it down, was on purpose. These two women should never see the light of day.

@@kaylahall1219the two oldest are on their own, but the two teenagers that are under 18, I'm assuming in child protective custody. They were originally at the home of the Connections leader, Pam Boetcher. I believe they were taken away from her home to protective custody.
I truly think it was only a matter of time before it escalated into murder.
I was so angry when Jodi complained that she had a problem with her shoulder when she was being put in the police car. Yet she didn’t show R and E any sympathy or mercy when she and Ruby inflicted so much pain on them. There should be no mercy on these 2 evil monsters! 👿

His kids have been duct-taped, locked up, starved to emaciation, skin dead that's peeling to where they thought it was more tape, under 72-hour hospital supervision, among other things, and he wants to know what's going to happen to his wife! 🤔🤔 Sickening!

Hopefully, they'll build a case against him as well. He's definitely complicit in the abuse of those poor innocent children. He can't claim ignorance for failing to protect those children.
Child abandonment at least
This case only covered instances in the last few months before the arrest. Kevin wasn't present during that time and there is probably no way of proving if he knew what was happening.

It's really not helpful for an already traumatized child to see grown adults who are supposed to be sources of strength,

Damage to the body is permanent and serious from starvation and physical abuse. Emotional abuse has long-lasting dire effects too. It's a life sentence for those children. They have the right not to be abused.

The fact they let HER take those steps was a great way to establish a strong foundation where she could continue to push forward with her bravery. Such a difference between "she was removed" and "she eventually got up and walked out on her OWN"

This is the first thing I thought of too! She knew she was going to be in big trouble. During the interrogation she didn't even know her attorney's name. Obviously she wasn't calling him just for a friendly chat. She's complicit in everyday and SHE KNEW IT. Horrible human being.

These police officers are absolutely amazing. Instead of forcing her to move which could traumatize her further they sit with her no matter how long she needs and that’s absolutely precious. A group of strangers showing more love patience and empathy towards these kids than their own mother.
You're told to pick your kids up at the police station. The police officers interview you and ask you if you're aware of the condition of your children. My first reaction is to be concerned about my children with that line of questioning. I would be begging to know if my kids were okay and where they were. Why does this man/dad never asked about his children?

There actually loads of evidence out there that he joined in with the abuse. They had a RUclips channel called "8 Passengers" and there are plenty of clips of Kevin AND Ruby abusing/admitting to abuse all their kids since 2015. Viewers were concerned of the well-being of the children for almost a decade which lead them to having CPS visit their home MULTIPLE TIMES! CPS done nothing about the abuse.

These are from their RUclips videos from years ago. I once followed them out of curiosity because those seemed weird things to do. R seemed very scared most of the times in the videos. Like a dog waiting for a hit when done something wrong. It's really hard to understand all of this.

The similarities between this case and the Vallow/Daybell case are staggering. The gradual descent into torturing children based on supposed “prophecies” into an immediate escalation (literally, in weeks time) should be a wake up call to those in LE these days. Take the accusations seriously. Listen to those who are fearful for the children. This thing could have ended in the same outcome the way it did with JJ and Tylee.
