Super awesome video. I will say that they're a little egotistical claiming he's like the new Jackie Chan. I think they're missing the point that he didn't just do awesome stunts, but that he has an amazing sense of humour and is an all around charismatic guy. Not to mention that Jackie is a master of far more martial arts than Iko.
Not to dismiss his talent, I couldn't do that. But that line did rub me the wrong way. Lol

What makes Iko different from Tom Cruise and Keanu Reeves is Iko can actually fight off-screen.

@@ljc4835 IIRC, Iko was a coach for Indonesia's national martial arts team for international competitions. He's not just an athlete, he's a professional coach.

I am so incredibly jealous of you guys. I've been a huge fan of Iko since The Raid and I've been following him ever since. I'd love to meet him. I'd especially love to have him teach me to be even a millionth of the badass he is. You guys have been living my dream since the start of this channel, but especially now.

Both The Raid movies are easily the one best movies I have ever seen

Jackie had always been about comedy.. I watched his old Hong Kong movies.. Drunken Master, Snake in Eagle Shadow etc, they all have comic elements.. It was just Jackie's style..
Wasn't expecting to see so much love for Uwais, really pleased to see him getting the credit he deserves.
Also liked that they explained how movie fights are nowhere near a proper representation of a real fight, in terms of how everything is jazzed up to make it "look" better, that's a tid-bit you don't hear too often.
They explained things so much better than I would of expected. Usually these kinds of things are just famous faces rambling or promoting their movie but these guys did a great job.
I love the fact that they kept going through the movements over and over perfecting the details with you guys instead of just saying oh yeah you guys got it on the second try
The magic of cinematic fight choreography is the combination of practice, discipline, timing, and camera work. I'm glad you got people who knew what they were doing and I enjoyed this video a lot.
Imagine using everything you learned here and combine that with prosthetics and the fake blood from way back. That'd be hella awesome.

Two kids at my school faked an entire fight at school during lunch. The whole thing was choreographed and looked awesome but everyone (including the teachers) thought it was real. To this day I consider them to be absolute legends.

I can already see you guys choreographing a bar fight ending with one of you getting punched in the stomach so hard you spit up a card that was randomly selected by another person earlier.
New favorite episode! Love fight choreography (watching and planning/being a part of).
Yes! This is awesome! You always see films - usually RUclips fan films or film festival shorts, but sometimes even big-budget Hollywood stuff - using camera tricks to cover up for bad fight coreography. It sucks to see fast, blurry, edit-heavy action scenes because they can't show the action and reaction in the same shot.
What really makes me kinda angry is when you find out that some movies actually had well choreographed and well acted fight sequences which weren't deemed fast enough by producers or directors so they cut it all up in a jumbled mess for some god forsaken reason.

hello i'm from indonesia thanks for the video, a little story. silat much of its history in the colonial era in Indonesia, we lived under pressure at the time, to fight the invaders, many silat styles but basically taught humility, training in martial arts used to be more difficult, more extreme when practicing, using original weapons, beating and kicking seriously. if exposed is a risk ", my parents practiced every day legs and hands beaten with bamboo sticks, and kicked us not using samsak but wood or bamboo trees, and when warming up push-ups, hands were clenched on rocks, I also learned Silat and shorinji kempo from Japan, I pray that we all learn to live from humility, it will produce positive energy for us, greetings from Indonesia, the spirit continues.💪👍

Why exactly are you so interested in an absinthe episode? If it's because of the alleged effects of absinthe: that's just a myth. Absinthe has the exact same effects every other kind of alcoholic beverage has.
Because everyone drinks it wrong. The right way is a small ritual and is quite nice. And as with any other Modern Rogue episode, I just wanna see them fuck it up!
SirJMDDK I know how to drink it, but that absolutely does not change its effects. If you want an episode about the different "rituals" associated with absinthe consumption, that's understandable, and that's why I asked. Just didn't want you to get your hopes up for any other effects than any other alcoholic beverage produces. :P
more or less they have learned pencak silat .. even though their movements are not yet agile .. that is Indonesian pencak silat, to get agility like iko they have to practice gradually for years 😊 and finally passed after mastering all the techniques of pencak silat... Salam dari madiun bang iko 🤗
