I like this so much I am afraid I’ll come back one day and it’ll not be here anymore. It’s like a well kept secret treasure. This is a beautiful performance Paul, thank you for that.
Oh my....what a mesmerizing and gorgeous piece of music!! I LOVE it! Very reflective and emotive! Paul, you play so beautifully and this took me away to a far away place in my mind. What a great request from your viewer and for me, exposure to a wonderful piece of music that is brand new to these ears. BRAVO! ~Jackie
My ex.husband who is a piano teacher always played this, and I loved it, but he never got it quite right. You played this wonderful music how it should be played. Bravo!!!!
Absolutely SUPERB Paul. I heard this about 30 years ago and fell in love with it but have never heard it since. I have been trying to find it but had no idea who composed it or what it was called, all I knew was the pianist who was called John Ogden. Thank you for uploading it. A perfect rediscovery.
Beautiful stuff. I don't know much about classical music, though I really appreciate it. About a decade ago I stumbled on Cyril Scott and instantly became a huge fan. Fascinating person, had all kinds of creative outlets and lived through an interesting period in history. Great work, thanks for the upload.
Hey Paul ! I know that you love Chopin's music and I would kindly suggest you to have a look at op 48 no 1 ! You probably know that piece, but I haven't you see play it :) Best regards.
Something amazing about this piece - I've been trying to learn it by ear as I do most songs, but it warps in my mind and becomes more generic. It's so hard to get a handle on all the little flourishes. You did an amazing job with it.
Hey Mr. Paul Barton.I love the way you play.I have a request for you to play. Can you play "The Lark" by Glinka/Balakirev? I would love to listen to it.Thank you-Yoel
you upload a lot of musical pieces. after you learn them and record your performances, do these pieces stick around in your head? could you recall a piece you played half a year ago? my peak of piano memory was about 11 or 12 pieces, it took about an hour and a half to play through this big,in my opinion, repertoire.
I heard this in the horror game ‘Layers of Fear.’ I thought it sounded beautiful and I’m currently trying to learn to play with both my hands play separate chords, so hopefully I’ll be able to learn this very soon 😅
Beautiful piece and very well played By the way, i don't know if you already know, but a couple days ago i sent you the piano composition i talked you about in the last video :)
I've loved this piece for many years. You can see why Cyril Scott was dubbed "the English Debussy"

Good job Paul! Howevet It's a pity that the lowest Eb on the piano is off tune. 😢

Martin Denny's cover really adds a tropical flavor.

Beautiful playing. But DRASTICALLY different then what Cyril Scott himself played Lotus Land.
Is Cyril Scott an impressionist. It was composed in 1905?
