@@sweetwilliam49 I wish that's what she said lol what $1.50 for the nuts bolts washers to extend the brush I get what you mean but new brushes are going to cost you more than his little trick minus your time
brilliant and entertaining.....I call that all jacked up on good coffee and having fun in the garage.....great solution to the problems....great vid. And for those who thought it was too long....just watch at x2 speed......another prob solved.
While anti-seize certainly prevents the bolts from getting stuck, it will also increase the torque on the bolts because it acts a little like grease on the threads. Plus, the exposed threads will still rust because the nut removes the anti-seize when it is screwed on. For this reasons, I rather prefer to spray the bolt/nut after torquing them, with Rust Check the red spray can (there is also a green can which I don't like). It covers everything and prevents any rust build up and you can surely use it on any other bolt that is already secured. I basically spray every single visible bolt on a new car right after purchase - especially since I live in Canada, if you see what I mean. Speaking of anti-seize compounds, there are about three types: aluminum, copper and nickel based ones and we need to stir them once in a while
when i broke my brush off i used an acid brush found in plumbing department (about 6 inches long) and just stuck it through hole in can so you just unscrew lid and slip it off and use brush without lid while in use and slip lid back over brush when done
was wondering if this kinda video was out there in youtube land ...YEP here it is...mine is too thick and at the bottom of the can...OIL to thin it out ...I tried paint thinner and it worked to thin it out till it evaporated then it was thick again... sweet video ...THX
I would probably look up the SDS for the product and determine what the carrier is rather than just dumping motor oil in it to thin it out. It may be xylene or alcohol which evaporate faster than oil but not contribute lubrication which reduces torque specs.
you know when it comes to torque specs there counting on the bolt to be clean and not have anything on it so technically putting brand new Anti Seize Compound on a bolt would affect the torque supposedly, like he said its a petroleum based product but I get what your saying and it would be interesting to know the exact component is
Cool we were able to solve 2 prblems with those bottles... but now we have a new problem! Now you can't leave that bottle anywhere because it's going to make the room smell like gasoline!
Umm. make sense. I think the metals best suited to make the anti seize are those with natural lubricant properties like aluminum, copper, lead, tin, etc. For the same reason are used in engine bearings .
man stop, that was minutes apart and I'll bet the grinder was no where near that table where the gas was it was on a whole other table in another part of that shop
lol and every bottle in every shop in anywhere USA their way past their date . What's the expiration date ? a year that go's alone with their short brushes the company dose this on purpose I bet so people go buy a new bottle LOL put a short brush on it and a short expiration date 😈😈
I see this comment was 4 years ago its now 2024 in this joe biden economy I know that cheap can is twice the price now saving money is never hard work lol
Lol I don't know about where you live but you spent more on the gas you used to clean the bottle and brush then a new bottle antiseaze would cost. Nice video though.
really aside from time what $1.50 for the nuts bolts washers and the little bit of oil and I call bs on not have trouble getting it out with a brush it a short brush it can't get to the bottom and I'd bet that done on purpose to get people to buy a new can myself I have half a can that I use a few times a year and it got thicker so I love this video Im just a school house rock kid at heart knowledge is power
Good video, I believe it is TWICE as long as it needs to be...
That’s what she said! Buy some cheap brushes from harbor freight

Beautifully made video, The commentary was excellent. Thank you for the solid solutions. 🍻
Great video and solid points you make! That’s why I have both the can and the tube, the tube is so easy to apply..
Thank you for watching and commenting!
Excellent video, great instructions, and brilliant solution. Thanks!
Thanks for watching and the comment.
The anti seize king. Thanx Pal 😁
At 40$ canadian a can, I will save cashola......"Sportsfans" 😁

Nice video. What weight oil did you use to thin out the anti-seize?
10w30, but it doesn't matter, you can use any weight.
Cool we were able to solve 2 prblems with those bottles... but now we have a new problem! Now you can't leave that bottle anywhere because it's going to make the room smell like gasoline!
But i guess it will be easier to find 🤔 in tha case... nicely done! 😄 cheers!
but it was just a little drop of gas 😆😆😆😆😆😆
Why gasoline? Would it not be better if you use Varsol?
maybe gas was just right there and there was no varsol
So, why would you need three bottles of the anti-seize compound since it has a short life in a year or two years?
that's why his was combining them to one bottle by cutting off the tops
like your vid. it is like liquid gold
is this anti sieze compund magnetic
No.all ingredients are non ferric metals
@@enterBJ40 it says nickel so it must be magnetic

Fukin awesome
So in the middle of cleaning with gas you throw sparks around with a grinder?
man stop, that was minutes apart and I'll bet the grinder was no where near that table where the gas was it was on a whole other table in another part of that shop
Never mind, it's 5W30
Why no use a longer brush..then clean it
I have trouble getting the caps off.
one suggestion, use another stick or cap from similar old bottle which is not broken
Keep in mind anti seize has an expiration date!!!
lol and every bottle in every shop in anywhere USA their way past their date . What's the expiration date ? a year that go's alone with their short brushes the company dose this on purpose I bet so people go buy a new bottle LOL put a short brush on it and a short expiration date 😈😈
Spoon lol that’s what I do
That’s a lot of work for a cheap can of never seize lol
I see this comment was 4 years ago its now 2024 in this joe biden economy I know that cheap can is twice the price now saving money is never hard work lol
Lol I don't know about where you live but you spent more on the gas you used to clean the bottle and brush then a new bottle antiseaze would cost. Nice video though.
That's $50 of work to save $2 of anti-seize. I've never had any trouble sealing my bottle, or getting it out with the brush.

At least try to get most of what you are doing in the shot.
