The example Jeremy used after his statement was squirreling Ragnaros or something of equivalent value. If getting rid of Ragnaros using 3 mana doesn't win you a game, you were almost certainly going to lose anyway. Frankly, I find your claims to be much more ridiculous than Jeremy's. I'm not sure what lead you to make such strange assumptions. All I can say is that Semantics are important.

Chromagna There's nothing you could do with the Starving Buzzard except Houndmaster him and then he'll act as a good personal shield with a little bit of a buff with his effect. That's it. That's literally the most useful he can be.

Some of these are nothing compared to Envenom. In early beta, the Rogue hero power could also give +1 attack to a weapon if you had one equipped. Envenom was a card that would double the damage on your weapon. Doesn't take long to rack up a 30 damage knife for instant victory.
Remember Dr. Christmas? He was so OP that you could draw 11-13 worth of mana at turn 6 with a 6/6 body, which basically gave you the win, once the secrets get triggered.
I remember one of the Dev's of this game mentioning that they don't want to punish players for playing minions. It was one of the reasons for the Warsong nerf, but yet, unleash does the exact same thing.
Really nice to see that more people accept these Hearthstone videos and don't just dislike because it is not league because they are good. Keep up the good work!

For me it would be Sneed Shredder and Unstable portal. Their random surprise effects make them so fun to play. Sometimes you get sth good and sometimes sth bad. Most of the time I got some good stuff which won me the game. :)
LiangHuBBB they're not overpowered, though. sneed's can be silenced and the initial body it gives is way too weak for the cost you pay. also, there are some really crappy legendary minions to get from sneed's. unstable portal is really good, but there's so many more bad cards than good that often times it simply doesn't do all that much in terms of swinging the game your way.

I remember the old Twilight Drake. They were the reason few of my first cards a crafted and used in my decks back then were tweo Owls and two Spellbreaker, cause this "Powerdrakes" were everywhere. ^^
I played back in closed beta, when Nat Pagle drew at the end of the turn, but... he used to have 5 health? That's a new one even for me. No wonder they dropped the hammer on him.
Rookie true, but the real nerf to miracle rogue was the introduction of Dr. Balanced in the same patch it's cost was increased. After all you can't use AoE when every enemy plays Dr Balanced right after you play your auctioneer. And if you don't have enough damage to kill the enemy hero,you have to use a lot of your damage spells on Balanced or he kills the auctioneer and there goes the main card in your deck.
Rookie that;s because they could get out the auctioneer on turn 5 and combo you to death on turn 6 (especially since there was no good neutral healing). But when GvG came, not only did auctioneer get nerfed to being dropped on turn 6 instead of 5, you also got healbot to heal you up from any damage done before you'd get 'miracle'd, making killing you harder since you had on average more HP. By dropping Balanced in response to the auctioneer, and coupled with your higher health, unless they had a perfect hand to kill you, they would have to spend much of their damage on Balanced.
According to Liquipedia Hearthstone Mana Spring Totem was not a minion but a spell. I do not know why it is always represented as a 0/1 minion, but the official sources seem to claim it was a spell. Which does not matter in the slightest as to why it was broken as shit, as it would have had to be banned and removed even as a minion because of the infinite loop combo, but still it explains why it was so evidently batshit crazy.

kleash The effect is permanent throughout your entire deck, it's like Thaurissan, except instead of your hand it reduces your ENTIRE deck by 1. So, you played two of them, which reduces EVERYTHING in your deck by 2 mana total, then you'd play two jugglers for free, and keep on using pandas to return them to hand and just shank him to death.

Arthur Mortari Reducing every card in your deck by two and having a high damage combo are two very different things, Druids are all round the most balanced class there is. They have good mana costs, and decent combos, if you know they have that combo in their deck then you should know not to let yourself get too low and play according to that. If you're losing to that combo a lot then you need to build a better deck suited to playing against those Druids.
Schlomel Shekelmen thats what I thought too, but I lost hope when I faced against a Druid who won with Force of nature, 2x innervate 2x savage roar + hero power. I finally got some control of the board in the 9th turn and then he does that... fucking joke, I even played safe to be higher health than double combo, but that hero power made it exactly lethal.

How I wish alpha mind vision is a card right now with all the OP meta and jousting and add cards to your hand effect we pretty much know what cards are in your opponent hand. For exp, I will always cast one before opponent turn 7 to have a chance to take dr boom away hehe.
I think the main reason Hunter is called huntard still now days is just how strong it used to be everyone has been scarred. Then new players hear huntard and think the same thing.

Better add Justicar Trueheart to this list. Justicar Trueheart(Permanently) replaces your hero power with a better one. For most heros it is balanced, but on warrior it is a big problem. They can add on 4 shields every round. I'd also consider adding Grim Patron to this list.

+El Bandito We didn't know any better. Things were the way they were, whether you liked it or not. A lot of people still complained about OP cards, though. It was the same in the earliest days of Magic The Gathering. The stuff they made in their early days was so crazy OP that they had to ban or restrict their use once they learned how to properly balance their cards.

SO glad I didn't start playing Hearthstone until most of this insane shit had been removed or nerfed. Mind you, I still had to put up with Undertaker for a few months and I STILL have to tolerate Dr Fucking Balanced, which Blizzard simply doesn't see a problem with, despite it being run in literally EVERY deck that doesn't aim to win either earlier than turn 7 or with a very specific OTK combo that he's not part of.
I feel so strongly the rage, saltiness and even despair of playing against an illidan stormrage. Glad Blizzard realized that we can't be messing with each other's actual hands lol.
I think Nat Pagle was no so good, was a great card, I played a lot, but it's a 50% chance. And you forgot Gadgetzan Auctioneer, that was really sick, the real hearth of the Miracle deck.

Disenchant extras. Don't disenchant things you don't have extras of because you never know when they'll nerf/buff things.

I played back in closed beta, when Nat Pagle drew at the end of the turn, but... he used to have 5 health? That's a new one even for me. No wonder they dropped the hammer on him.
Gadgetzan auctioneer was another overpowered card in miracle rogue. They could just draw their whole deck with it.
Rookie true, but the real nerf to miracle rogue was the introduction of Dr. Balanced in the same patch it's cost was increased. After all you can't use AoE when every enemy plays Dr Balanced right after you play your auctioneer. And if you don't have enough damage to kill the enemy hero,you have to use a lot of your damage spells on Balanced or he kills the auctioneer and there goes the main card in your deck.

Most miracle rogues I faced could one shot me by turn 7...
Rookie that;s because they could get out the auctioneer on turn 5 and combo you to death on turn 6 (especially since there was no good neutral healing). But when GvG came, not only did auctioneer get nerfed to being dropped on turn 6 instead of 5, you also got healbot to heal you up from any damage done before you'd get 'miracle'd, making killing you harder since you had on average more HP. By dropping Balanced in response to the auctioneer, and coupled with your higher health, unless they had a perfect hand to kill you, they would have to spend much of their damage on Balanced.
According to Liquipedia Hearthstone Mana Spring Totem was not a minion but a spell. I do not know why it is always represented as a 0/1 minion, but the official sources seem to claim it was a spell. Which does not matter in the slightest as to why it was broken as shit, as it would have had to be banned and removed even as a minion because of the infinite loop combo, but still it explains why it was so evidently batshit crazy.

kleash You missed the part where you play 2 of them, knife juggler and panda, and win the game?
kleash The effect is permanent throughout your entire deck, it's like Thaurissan, except instead of your hand it reduces your ENTIRE deck by 1. So, you played two of them, which reduces EVERYTHING in your deck by 2 mana total, then you'd play two jugglers for free, and keep on using pandas to return them to hand and just shank him to death.
Schlomel Shekelmen still, that card was bad, just because it had a combo with these cards doesn't mean it was overpowoered. if it was, why don't they remove druids combo? a lot more stupid in my opinion

Reducing every card in your deck by two and having a high damage combo are two very different things, Druids are all round the most balanced class there is. They have good mana costs, and decent combos, if you know they have that combo in their deck then you should know not to let yourself get too low and play according to that.
If you're losing to that combo a lot then you need to build a better deck suited to playing against those Druids.
Schlomel Shekelmen thats what I thought too, but I lost hope when I faced against a Druid who won with Force of nature, 2x innervate 2x savage roar + hero power. I finally got some control of the board in the 9th turn and then he does that... fucking joke, I even played safe to be higher health than double combo, but that hero power made it exactly lethal.
Pretty fitting a video about the most overpowered cards in history shows Demon Hunter as its thumbnail 4 years before its introduction.
wow, only started playing a year ago so i did not know some of the older broken cards and combos. but seeing some of the alpha and beta cards i have to woner what the balance team at blizzrad were smoking when designing those cards. fun to watch, thx for the vid!
How I wish alpha mind vision is a card right now with all the OP meta and jousting and add cards to your hand effect we pretty much know what cards are in your opponent hand. For exp, I will always cast one before opponent turn 7 to have a chance to take dr boom away hehe.
You know what really should be really high on this list? Jade Idol. Never seen a card crushing control and fatigue this hard before
I remember the beta times when, if you were a hunter and manage to get into turn 7, you actually won with Buzzard + UTH

I think the main reason Hunter is called huntard still now days is just how strong it used to be everyone has been scarred. Then new players hear huntard and think the same thing.
+Tony Kong Hunter has been called "Huntard" since vanilla WoW, what 12-15 years ago? It isn't a Hearthstone term. Same idea though, Hunters in WoW would get made fun of for being able to stand around and slaughter baddies, easy enough to play that a "challenged" person could play the class well. I remember when I got my first ever legendary in Hearthstone! The old Tinkmaster Overspark :) I had so much fun with that card!
They should do a taverbrawl that uses some prebuilt decks with a few copies of the cards that have been nerfed pre-nerf. They could even include some of the cards that got removed and replaced very early.

barely seen is false, anyone can get it easily if you save the gold. plus, i hear that a lot, how ever it doesn't change the fact that in a close match after most of the field wipes or damage cards are used, it's basically impossible to kill him if you have a taunt creature on the field.

Better add Justicar Trueheart to this list. Justicar Trueheart(Permanently) replaces your hero power with a better one. For most heros it is balanced, but on warrior it is a big problem. They can add on 4 shields every round. I'd also consider adding Grim Patron to this list.

Nat Pagle only became more popular after novice engineer was nerfed. It never seemed super OP to me, and definitely too high on this list.

Honestly, I wished Tinkmaster Overspark wasn't nerfed because they just killed the card completely. And its a great way to control aggresive stuff like Secret Pally and handle Deathrattles. Man, such a fun card :/

It was the same in the earliest days of Magic The Gathering. The stuff they made in their early days was so crazy OP that they had to ban or restrict their use once they learned how to properly balance their cards.
You forgot Lightspawn. If it survives launch, you're dead if the priest has combo Velen's Chosen + Divine Spirit x2.

SO glad I didn't start playing Hearthstone until most of this insane shit had been removed or nerfed. Mind you, I still had to put up with Undertaker for a few months and I STILL have to tolerate Dr Fucking Balanced, which Blizzard simply doesn't see a problem with, despite it being run in literally EVERY deck that doesn't aim to win either earlier than turn 7 or with a very specific OTK combo that he's not part of.
Adrenaline Rush would've been balanced as a 2 mana card.
I feel so strongly the rage, saltiness and even despair of playing against an illidan stormrage. Glad Blizzard realized that we can't be messing with each other's actual hands lol.

I think Nat Pagle was no so good, was a great card, I played a lot, but it's a 50% chance. And you forgot Gadgetzan Auctioneer, that was really sick, the real hearth of the Miracle deck.
