She didn't care too much for the hotels/motels, they had to stay in on the road, but she enjoyed our Fla. weather. Just seemed like a regular girl in mu school. A friend of mine grew up with them in Cambria Heights, and knew them back when they did shows, he saw them and is a HUGE fan. !!! He got every Shagri-las item signed and today has a HUGE collection. Even went to the Cousin Bruce show in the 80s, which was their very last performance.
I fell in love with Mary Ann in 63, I was 10 and she was 15...she use to come over to Queens where I lived during summer vacation. my babysitter and Mary Ann would make me mad talking to their boyfriends on the phone and ignoring me. Boy do I miss those days.

Nice voice and guitar. He and his brother Jerry Garone, are still collaborating musically (see “Storm.” The late Joey, once used one of my lines when I suggested it for a song he wrote, just before passed away. It said, “When I reemerge, I will regain my power.”
Music changed due to the 'British Invasion" (Beatles). That was the beginning of the end of 'most' of the best bands and solo singers gradually started to vanish, because of Beatlemania, who I don't believe ever came even close to the talent we had back then. Wish they had never come to America. They singlehandedly destroyed the best music we ever had in our lifetime, never to have again.

Ronettes only had a 1 hit wonder only main reson they are famous was because of phil spector gave them a house hold name plus the head singer was married to him
