- It's been 25 years since I've towed a trailer boat into STANAGE BAY. The best fishing spot in Australia. My brother Pete and I were lucky enough to be invited up by my good mate Aaron for a boys' week. What an awesome, remote and untouched location! Crabbing, fishing and exploring remote Islands are the highlights of this Queensland treasure!
Join us as we hit the road on short notice and drive 6 hours North with a great bunch of mates. We really hope you enjoy this one - We sure did!
Great food, good mates, fishing, crabbing & exploring our awesome coast!

Like like paradise mate... bloody beautiful.
Awesome trip mate. We will be hitting it again soon! 👍
Locks like a great trip. Lots of good fish and meeting some new mates
Definitely! Was awesome! Thanks for watching! 👌
There's a lot to be said about going out wide with your eye candy on board for a spot of good fishing with that pleasant mix of a beautiful woman and some of the best fish in the ocean.
But there comes that time that a boys only trip seems like the best thing since sliced bread.
This trip is no exception . WOW ! from a viewer perspective...simply awesome ! can only imagine the ripper time enjoying the company.
Oh the fish !! nearly forgot about the fish .
Eddie , A good Sweetlip properly blead is as good as most other fish out there, and for my tastes is under rated. A land lubber would give his right eye to pig out on Sweetlip.
Looking forward to part 3 .....awesome vid
Thanks mate! I enjoyed editing this one almost as much as the experience itself! Great mates, great location and great fishing and crabbing! 🍻

Had friends stay at Stanage Bay a couple of months ago from Townsville. They caught fish and crabs and had a great time. I drove past the turn off visiting my Aunty in Yeppoon thinking one day I will be there.🤠🎣🤙👌👍✅️

Hi guys, great shots. How much of the road is unsealed now, and how long did it take you to get to stanage from the highway?
Approximately 40km of dirt. It was about 2 hours in and we had a freshly graded road. Can get bad.
Enjoying the video 😊
Do you mind me asking why you don’t keep the gold spot cod ?
They are good eating when battered but they make a mess in the ice box. You usually have to put them in a bag as they slime up the other fish. They are also slow to fillet if not washed. Some call them ‘Greasy Cod’ for this reason. Brilliant big fish and we only generally keep them if we can’t get them to swim back down.
Hello from Newcastle
Thanks for watching! Would be cold down there ATM 👌
like and subscribed , this is awesome
🙏thank you
Don't knock big Gold Spots boys, if you're catching big cod it's a pretty good indication nobody's fished that reef for a fair while. That, and they're pretty hard to beat panko crumbed in chicken nugget sized bites.
Yeah it’s not bad battered, I’d have to agree. We only usually keep them if we can’t get them back down.
what was that app that showed the ridges?
That’s just the paid version of Navionics mate. 🤫🤐
@@OBM1770oh ok thanks man

Hi Guys, I just went to Berserker to get the jigs ($100.74 and free shipping) when I applied the OBM code, it gave a discount of $5.00 and added $9.00 to the shipping
So that ended up costing a total of $104.74.
No big deal, I’m still buying them just thought you would like to know
