I would not characterize their current performances as: ‘absoulutely crushing it’. They don’t play at that blazing fast, signature pace they used to. They are not the same and I know why- they are old men now

yeah the mistake was actually good
Kirk missed the last three notes, he started two frets above the one he was supposed to play (still a right note tho), he immediately realized and just kept going down the scale to avoid any cacophony, and last note casually happened to be the higher octave of the one James was playing, so it sounds most perfect than ever 🤣
Considering the mess ups he usually does specially on the solos, yep nothing as bad...
Those guys have played together their entire lives. Not to many bands can say that.

@@wishflow3396I think he's an alright owner of greeny, not just some whiskey sniffer who keeps it in a glass box, he's actually giving it work and love.
Still have some of the most beautiful harmonised leads in music. I think it's awesome that they blurred the line of not just being pure thrashers their whole career. Even though that's what I love about the band, but they just have so much more depth while still being a kick ass metal band.

That's the beauty of a live performance, there's no corrections or multiple takes.
The way I see it, if they're are no mistakes then it's not live.
Even for those musicians that can play live flawlessly, hearing a mistake here or there is natural and I pretty much expect it.
Not Vince Neil of Mötley Crüe levels of mistake obviously. 😁
